ずーっと温めていた金色卵を最後の最後に武器商人にぶつけてみた…レオンです💦

I’m Leon, and at the very last moment, I decided to throw the Golden Egg I’d been saving all this time at the Merchant… 💦

それなのに…武器商人ノーリアクション！

And yet… the Merchant didn’t react AT ALL!

この島にいる敵みたいに、ちょっとは嫌がったりしてくれると思ったのに～。

I thought he’d at least show a little displeasure, like the enemies on this island do!

しかも、卵の攻撃範囲が狭すぎて１発外してるし…💧

And to make matters worse, the egg’s hitbox is so tiny that I even missed one throw… 💧

最終回ということで、ちょっと遊んでしまいました。

Since this is the final episode, I decided to have a little fun.

これじゃあ、卵がもったいないので…時を戻そう！

But wasting a Golden Egg like this would be such a shame, so…

Let’s turn back time!

前回は、体内にいた「プラーガ」を無事に除去し、あとはこの島から脱出するだけになったレオンとアシュリー。

Last time, Leon and Ashley successfully had the Plaga inside their bodies removed. Now all that’s left is to escape from this island.

さぁ、その手段を見つけるために次へ向かいましょう！

Let’s move on and find a way to get out of here!

では、今週も「トレジャーハンターレオン」(バイオ４攻略日記)最終回…スタートで～す‼

And now, it’s time to begin the FINAL EPISODE of this week’s “Treasure Hunter Leon” (Resident Evil 4 Walkthrough Diary)! ‼

処置室を出ると、階段が続いてました。

After leaving the treatment room, we find a staircase leading upward.

↑階段を登りきると…机の上にはこんなアイテムが！

↑ At the top of the stairs, there are some items waiting on a desk!

その近くに、こんな書類も置いてありました。

There’s also a document lying nearby.

野望が強いね…サドラー💧

Saddler sure has some ambitious plans… 💧

この計画が実行されれば、世界が闇に包まれてしまう…。

If this plan succeeds, the whole world will be plunged into darkness…

今の時点でそれを阻止できるのはレオンだけ！

And right now, Leon is the only one who can stop him!

さぁ、今までの借りを返しに行きましょうか‼

All right, time to settle the score once and for all! ‼

扉を出ると…そこは外。武器商人の姿も見えます。

When I step outside, I spot the Merchant again.

取引の前に木箱からアイテム回収。

Before trading with him, I collect some items from the wooden crates.

そして、その近くに路地栽培されてるグリーンハーブもGET!

I also pick up a Green Herb growing nearby.

これで周辺のアイテムは全部取りました。

Now I’ve collected every item in the surrounding area.

そして、(２週目をやる場合、有利に進めたい方用に)ここでこの「グリーンハーブ＋イエローハーブ」を使って、

And here, for anyone planning to play through the game a second time and wanting an advantage, I use this combination of a Green Herb + Yellow Herb to…

アシュリーの体力をMAXにしました。

Max out Ashley’s health!

↑右下の小さなサークルがアシュリーの体力ゲージ。最大体力値が上がりましたね。

↑ The small circle in the bottom-right corner is Ashley’s health gauge. Her maximum health has increased!

レオンもすでにMAXなので、この「３色のハーブ」は回復のみの役目しかなくなりました。

Leon’s health is already at maximum, too, so from this point on, the three-color herb combination is only useful for restoring health.

回復に余裕があれば、高値で売れるので武器商人に売ってしまっても良いです♪

If you have plenty of healing items, you can also sell them to the Merchant for a good price! ♪

チェンソーさん＝３色ハーブってことですね。

So, basically, Chainsaw Guy = Three-Color Herb.

(あのチェンソーさんが落とすペセタやルビーと同じ値段💧)

(They’re worth the same amount as the pesetas and Ruby dropped by that Chainsaw Guy… 💧)

This is what happens when I look at the Merchant through my rifle scope from point-blank range.

武器商人との別れが惜しくて…ついつい遊んでしまいました。

I was reluctant to say goodbye to him, so I couldn’t resist fooling around a little!

そして、最後の取引。

And now, it’s time for our final transaction.

もう、売る物は何もありません。

There’s nothing left to sell.

…ずーっと売らなくてアタッシュケースの片隅に置いておいた「ブルーアイ」。

…There’s one item I’ve kept tucked away in a corner of my attaché case without selling it all this time: the Blue Eye.

貴重なものなので、今回も(２周目のために)大事に取っておきます。

It’s a valuable item, so I’m saving it for my second playthrough again.

結局、最後まで改造できたのは「マシンピストル」のみ。

In the end, the only weapon I managed to upgrade all the way to its exclusive upgrade was the Machine Pistol.

どんなに頑張っても、１週目で全ての武器を最終形まで改造できないのです💧

No matter how hard you try, you simply can’t fully upgrade every weapon during your first playthrough. 💧

そして、↑これが現在のアタッシュケース内。(時を戻したので金色卵は無事です💧)

最後、この島は大変なことになるけど…無事に逃げろよ…。

This island is about to become a very dangerous place, so make sure you get out of here safely…

…っていっても「プラーガ」持ちじゃあ、ここから外に出してもらえないだろう…けどね💧

…Although, with the Plaga inside you, they probably won’t let you leave the island in the first place. 💧

武器商人に別れを告げ、階段を降りると…。

After saying goodbye to the Merchant, I head down the stairs…

…出来れば、そこの武器商人と最後のお別れでもして待っていなさい、アシュリー。

…Ashley, if possible, why don’t you wait here and say your final goodbyes to that Merchant?

無口でノーリアクションかもしれないけど～💧

He may be quiet and completely unresponsive, though! 💧

エレベーターに乗り込み、上に着くと…、

I get into the elevator, and when it reaches the upper level…

あ！ エイダ‼

Oh! ADA! ‼

サドラーを足止めしてくれた後、捕まっちゃってたんだ💦

After helping hold Saddler off, she got captured! 💦

いつものように、安全な場所にちゃっかり逃げてると思ったのに…。

I thought she’d pulled off her usual trick of escaping to somewhere safe!

そこには、サドラーの姿も！

And there’s Saddler, too!

もう手をかざしても苦しくないもんね～‼「プラーガ」除去したし～♪

You can wave your hand in front of me all you want now! I’m not suffering anymore! I’ve had the Plaga removed! ♪

あと、倒すのはお前だけ‼

You’re the only one left to take down!

エイダが吊り下げられているロープをクラウザーのナイフを飛ばし…切るレオン。

Leon throws Krauser’s knife at the rope holding Ada up and cuts it.

その拍子にダンボールの上に落ちるエイダ。

Ada falls onto a pile of cardboard boxes.

レオン「大丈夫か？」

Leon: “Are you okay?”

エイダ「えぇ…。」

Ada: “Yes…”

と気遣うレオンに、さすがのエイダも(この表情からして)惚れてまうやろ～♡になったはず。

Leon shows his concern for her, and judging by that expression on Ada’s face, even she must be thinking…

“I’m falling for you! ♡”

サドラー様は、やけにアメリカにこだわるのは…何かコンプレックスでもあるのかな？

Why is Lord Saddler so obsessed with America, anyway?

Does he have some kind of inferiority complex? 💧

そうですか…こちらはそんな気はないのでお断りします…。

I see… Well, I’m not interested, so I’ll have to decline your offer.

ガバー！

GAAAAH!

急に大口を開け、その口から目玉みたいなものを出し、本性を現すサドラー！

Saddler suddenly opens his mouth wide, revealing something resembling an eyeball inside, and finally shows his true form!

サドラーの身体からタカアシガニ💧のような足が生え、

Long, spider-crab-like legs sprout from his body… 💧

もうサドラーの原型がないほど、グロテスクなものに変身してしまいました。

He transforms into something so grotesque that he barely even resembles Saddler anymore!

その間、危険を察知したレオンが、エイダに逃げるように指示。その辺の気遣いもさすがです

During the transformation, Leon senses the danger and tells Ada to get away.

Even in the middle of all this, he’s still looking out for her. What a guy!

そんな混乱した最中…ラスボス・サドラー戦開始！

In the middle of all this confusion, the final boss battle against Saddler begins!

まずはサドラー近くのドラム缶を爆破！その衝撃で弱点に１撃‼(音あり)

First, I blow up the oil drum near Saddler and land a hit on his weak point from the impact! (With sound)

お次は、クレーンを操作して２撃目！(音あり)

Next, I operate the crane and land my second hit! (With sound)

(途中、サドラーが柱を飛ばしてきていますが、梯子を登る無敵行動で回避)

(Along the way, Saddler throws a pillar at me, but I avoid it by climbing the ladder during the invincible animation.)

場所移動している最中でも、サドラーは柱を飛ばしてくるのでQTEで回避！(音あり)

Even while moving between locations, Saddler keeps throwing pillars at me, so I dodge them with a QTE! (With sound)

レオン、カッコ良い～♡

Leon, you’re so cool! ♡

向こうの建物に渡る時、割れる橋から飛びつくQTE!(音なし)

When crossing over to the building on the other side, I use a QTE to leap from a collapsing bridge! (Without sound)

そんなことを繰り返しながら、サドラーの弱点(口にある目)をナイフで攻撃しつつ、最後はマグナムを撃ち込んでやると…、

I repeat these moves while attacking the eye inside Saddler’s mouth with my knife.

Then, for the finishing blow, I fire my Magnum…

エイダ「Use this! 」

Ada: “Use this!”

何処かに避難したはずのエイダが、何かを投げ込んでくれました。

Ada, who I thought had escaped somewhere safe, throws something my way!

ここはバイオ２レオン裏エンディングを彷彿とさせるシーン♡

This scene really brings to mind the ending of Leon’s second scenario in Resident Evil 2! ♡

…あのシーンはやっぱりエイダだったんだね♪…とバイオファンには涙もの‼

…So it really was Ada in that scene! ♪

For Resident Evil fans, this is an incredibly moving moment! ‼

じゃ～ん♪

Ta-daa~! ♪

それは、なんと「ロケットランチャー(特殊弾)」！

It’s a Rocket Launcher (Special)!

対「プラーガ」によく効く…より強力になったロケラン。

An even more powerful rocket launcher that’s especially effective against Plagas!

エイダ、Thanks‼

Thanks, Ada! ‼

今までの報い…受け取れサドラー！ どりゃあ～‼

“This is for everything you’ve done! Take this, Saddler! Hyaaaah~!!”

※ちなみに、この「ロケラン特殊弾」を使わなくてもサドラーは頑張れば倒せます。

Incidentally, you can defeat Saddler without using the Special Rocket Launcher if you try hard enough.

クリア後、武器商人に売れば…なんと30,000ペセタで買い取ってもらえます。

After clearing the game, the Merchant will buy it from you for a whopping 30,000 pesetas!

…(強欲なので)そうしたかったのですが…、今回は普通に使っちゃいました。

…And because I’m so greedy, I wanted to do just that this time, too…

But in the end, I went ahead and used it normally.

One wrong move, and both Leon and Ashley could die! ‼

それでも、レオンならやり遂げると思っているんだろうな？

She must believe Leon can pull this off no matter what, right?

無茶言うぜ～💦

You’re asking a lot of him! 💦

…って、残り時間…もう２分40秒切っちゃってるし～💦

…Wait, there’s less than 2 minutes and 40 seconds left on the countdown! 💦

今回の「泣けるぜ」は英語で「Very cute.」

This time, Leon’s famous “No thanks!” is replaced by the English line:

“Very cute.”

それでも、慌てずちゃっかり…倒したサドラーから100,000ペセタ取りました(筋金入りの強欲)

Even so, I don’t panic. Instead, I casually loot 100,000 pesetas from Saddler’s defeated body!

(That’s how hopelessly greedy I am!)

エレベーターに乗って、急げ！急げー‼

I jump into the elevator.

Hurry! Hurry!!

アシュリーと合流！

I reunite with Ashley!

「急がなきゃ島ごと吹っ飛ぶ！」なんて、細かいことは説明してられない‼

There’s no time to explain the details, like “We have to hurry or the whole island will blow up!”

急ぎながらも、最後のお姫様キャッチ♪

We keep moving, but Leon still manages to catch Ashley in his arms like a princess one last time! ♪

残り時間も２分を切りました💦

Less than two minutes remain! 💦

洞窟の先に進むと、エイダから渡されたカギの本体…ジェットスキーが川岸に寄せてありました。

When we proceed through the cave, we find the real key Ada gave us waiting by the riverbank…

A Jet Ski.

これで行けってことなのね💧

So that’s how we’re getting out of here, huh? 💧

早速、Very cute テディベア付きカギを使い、乗り込みます💦

I quickly use the key with the Very Cute Teddy Bear attached and climb aboard! 💦

↑(音あり)最高速で進みます！

↑ (With sound) We race ahead at top speed!

途中のエア(？)もきっちりキメる余裕を見せて…、

Along the way, Leon even has time to pull off some impressive air (?), showing that he can still have a little fun…

アシュリー「ちょっと、ちょっと～💦 こんな時に遊ばないでよ～！しっかりつかまってろ…ってこのことだったのね⁉」

Ashley: “Hey, hey~! 💦 Don’t fool around at a time like this! So THIS is what you meant when you told me to hold on tight?! ‼”

途中の会話で、告白じみたことを言うアシュリーを軽く断るレオン。

During their conversation, Ashley says something that sounds suspiciously like a confession, but Leon gently turns her down.

…レオンは年上で強くて美しい女性が好みなんですよね💧

…Leon prefers older, strong, beautiful women, after all. 💧

その時、アシュリーはエイダのことをレオンに質問します。

Ashley then asks Leon about Ada.

その答えは…、

The Japanese translation of his answer is:

日本語訳では「オレの心の中にある幻影かもな…」ですが、英語だと

“Maybe she’s just a phantom in my heart…”

But in English, he says:

「She’s like a part of me I can’t let go.」ともっと親密な関係であることを匂わしています。

“She’s like a part of me I can’t let go.”

That implies a much more intimate relationship!

だって、オレの一部で離れることが出来ないですってよ、奥様！

Good grief, ladies! He says she’s a part of him that he can’t let go of!

まぁ、そんなワケで…これからもエイダとの腐れ縁が続いていく話(ゲーム)…になっちゃうのは仕方のないことですね💧

Well, I guess that means the game series will continue to feature Leon’s complicated, inseparable connection with Ada. 💧

この後のゲームやCGアニメ…レオンとエイダが出てくるシーン、ぜ～んぶこればっかですもん💧

In every game and CG-animated movie that followed, whenever Leon and Ada appeared together, it was pretty much the same story! 💧

取り敢えず、事件は無事解決

Anyway, the incident has been successfully resolved!

最後は(バイオ界ではお約束)、朝日に向かって去っていく主人公たち！…でTHE END.

And, as is practically tradition in the Resident Evil universe, our heroes ride off toward the sunrise…

But wait! You can’t cross the ocean on a Jet Ski, can you?

You’ll run out of gas in no time! 💦

まぁ、その後のハニガンの手腕でヘリが迎えに行くのでしょうけど…💧

Well, I suppose Hunnigan will arrange for a helicopter to come pick them up with her usual efficiency… 💧

そして、あの絵本みたいなエンディングは割愛！

And I’m skipping the picture-book-style ending!

Even after going through all that, he’s still full of energy!

He’s basically lamenting, “My life is always like this…” 💧

そして、レオンはやっぱり最高に格好良かった♡

Looking back at the whole of Resident Evil 4, it was basically a comedy game!

いろんなところに笑いが溢れていました♪

There was laughter everywhere!

そこがまたこのゲームの良さでもあるし、繰り返し遊んじゃう理由でもあるのです。

That’s part of what makes this game so great, and one of the reasons I keep coming back to play it again and again. ♪

Since I cleared the game on NORMAL, I’ve unlocked the three-round-burst handgun Matilda and the Infinite Rocket Launcher for my second playthrough!
