【Let’s Play Around with Character Creation in STREET FIGHTER 6! ♪】
皆さん、こんにちは～♪
Hello, everyone! ♪
前回で今季の「レオコレ」が終了し、新たな企画を始めようと思うのですが、まだ良いインスピレーションの企画が降りてこないので、今回は前から気になっていたゲームをやります。
Now that this season of Leo Collection has come to an end, I’d like to start a new project. However, I haven’t received any good inspiration for a new idea just yet, so this time I’m going to play a game I’ve been curious about for a while.
そのゲームとは………、2023年６月２日に発売された「ストリートファイター６」!
And that game is…… STREET FIGHTER 6, released on June 2, 2023!
その中の「WORLD TOUR」は…今までのストリートファイターと違い、プレイヤー自身でキャラが作れるんです！
In its WORLD TOUR mode… unlike previous Street Fighter games, you can create your very own character!
しかも、そのキャラでスト６のメインキャラ(リュウや春麗など)に弟子入りして、技を学び「強さとは？」の答えを求めて旅をするストーリーモードが遊べます♪
What’s more, you can play a story mode where you become a student of the main Street Fighter characters, such as Ryu and Chun-Li, learn their moves, and travel around searching for the answer to the question, “What does it mean to be strong?” ♪
そこで私は…そのモードで、レオン・Ｓ・ケネディを作りたい！…と。
And so, I thought to myself…I want to create Leon S. Kennedy in this mode!
作って「スト６」の「WORLD TOUR」を遊びつくしたい‼…と思いました。
I want to create him and play my way through the entire Street Fighter 6 WORLD TOUR experience!!
では早速、「スト6」の世界へGO！
All right, let’s head straight into the world of Street Fighter 6!
このモードを始めると格好良い…そして懐かしい感じのラップが流れるOPムービーが！
When you start this mode, an opening movie plays with some cool rap music that also has a nostalgic feel to it!
歴代のキャラたちの姿も見えます。
You can even catch glimpses of characters from previous games.
ストリートファイター…といえば、一応「5」は少しだけやったのですが、ガッツリ遊ぶのは「スト２ダッシュターボ」(？)以来💧
When it comes to Street Fighter, I’ve played a little bit of Street Fighter V, but the last time I really got into one of these games was Street Fighter II Turbo (I think?) 💧
…こんな私でも、この「6」は安心して楽しめるような操作性らしいのでワクワク♪
…Apparently, even someone like me can enjoy this game without worrying too much about the controls, so I’m excited! ♪
舞台はCAPCOMのゲーム「FINAL FIGHT」でお馴染みのアメリカ・メトロシティ。
Our setting is Metro City, USA, familiar to fans of CAPCOM’s game FINAL FIGHT.
そこでジムを経営しているルーク↑。
And here’s Luke ↑, who runs a gym there.
まずはここに弟子入りをする、我らが…レオン・Ｓ・ケネディ💧
First things first, our very own… Leon S. Kennedy is going to become his student! 💧
これから、身体検査という名の…キャラクターエディットが始まるのです！
And now, it’s time for what we’ll call a physical examination… also known as character creation!
これが最初に渡される基礎キャラクター。
This is the basic character you’re given at the beginning.
女性にも出来たり、
You can even make a female character,
体系を変えられたり…とっても細かく設定できます♪
change your body type…
There are so many detailed settings you can adjust! ♪
まずはベースとなる体型から！
Let’s start with the basic body shape!
レオンは筋肉質な体型だけれども、ゴリマッチョというほどではないので…↑こんな感じの程よいマッチョの体型を選びました。
Leon has a muscular build, but he’s not exactly a massive bodybuilder, so I chose a moderately muscular physique like the one shown above.
次は、このルーク師匠の体型を基本に…等身や身長を変えてみました。
Next, using Master Luke’s body as a starting point, I adjusted the proportions and height.
レオンの身長は180cm。
Leon is 180 cm (about 5’11”) tall.
アメリカ人の格闘家(？)の基準としては低い方なので、↑こんな感じに♪
That’s on the shorter side for an American martial artist… (if you can call him that?), so I went with something like this! ↑
そして、ストファイのキャラは手が大きいので、普通の人間サイズに縮小。
Street Fighter characters also have huge hands, so I reduced them to a more normal human size.
次は、肌の色。
Next up, skin color.
レオンは白人男性。でもあまり白すぎると、画面上…白飛びちゃうので少し抑えめの22番を選択。
Leon is a white man. But if I made his skin too pale, it would look washed out on the screen, so I chose a slightly darker shade, number 22.
こんな毛深くも出来ますし、体毛の色も変えれますよ💧
You can even make the body this hairy, and change the color of the body hair, too! 💧
でも、レオンはつるつる(なはず)なので却下！
But Leon is supposed to be smooth and hairless, so that’s a no-go!
そして、重要なのは顔！
And now, the most important part: the face!
それをしっかり作り込まなきゃ…完璧なレオンにはなれません！
Unless I get that right, I won’t be able to create the perfect Leon!
最初の上この顔から、どうやって…どれだけレオンに近づけるか？ 腕の見せ所…ですね💦？
Starting with the face shown above, how can I make it look like Leon? How close can I get?
This is where I get to show off my skills… right? 💦
………💦💦💦
そして、悪戦苦闘して５時間💧
And after five hours of struggling…
こんな感じになりました💧 …う～ん、何かが違う
This is what I ended up with… 💧
Hmm… something’s not quite right.
横顔は格好良いけど…なんだろう？
His profile looks handsome, but… what is it?
RE：2のレオンには少し似ているような気がするけど…なぜか納得いきません💧
He looks a little like Leon from RE2, I think, but for some reason, I’m just not satisfied. 💧
アップより、遠目はもっと違和感…。
He looks even more different from a distance than he does in close-ups.
う～ん、これじゃあ、ただの格好良い白人の兄ちゃん💦
Hmm… this is just a handsome white guy, that’s all! 💦
遠目のぼやけた顔が幼さを強調しちゃいます💧
When his face gets blurry in the distance, it makes him look even younger. 💧
まぁ、一応、レオン…と言われれば、そうは見えなくもないですが…💧
Well, if someone told me this was Leon, I suppose I could kind of see it… 💧
う～～～ん
Hmmm…
いろいろイジり過ぎて、作っている本人…大パニック
I’ve tweaked so many things that even the person creating him (me!) is completely confused!
疲れ果てた末に…納得いかないまま、この出来でOKボタンを押してしまいました💧
Exhausted after all that effort, I finally pressed the OK button and accepted this version, even though I wasn’t satisfied with the result. 💧
↑これが承認したことを示す、ジムの会員証。
↑ This is the gym membership card that confirms my creation was approved.
………。
その後、プレステから離れ、夕飯を食べ、お風呂に入り…リラックスした後に、改めて自作のレオンを再確認…。
After that, I stepped away from the PlayStation, ate dinner, took a bath, and relaxed for a while…
Then I took another look at the Leon I’d created.
………💧
ちっが～う
！
NOOOO, THAT’S NOT RIGHT!!
これがレオンなんて納得できな～い‼
I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT THIS IS LEON!! ‼️
今までこんなにイラストでも漫画でもレオンを描いてきたのに…何を見ていたんだ、私は⁉
I’ve drawn Leon in so many illustrations and comics over the years… What on earth was I looking at?!
同じ「CAPCOM」のキャラエディットなのに、こうも似ないものか～？
How can I be so bad at making him look right, even though this is a character creator from the same company, CAPCOM?!
以前作った「戦国無双」(コーエー・テクモ)のキャラエディットの方が似てたぞ⁉
The character creator in Samurai Warriors (KOEI TECMO) that I used before actually produced a Leon who looked more like him!! ⁉️
…。
それから、冷静に考え、アップにしたり遠目で見たり…よく観察しながら、試行錯誤して３時間💧
After that, I calmed down and thought things through more carefully. I looked at him up close and from a distance, studied his appearance, and kept experimenting for another three hours. 💧
ついに、(大満足ではないが)納得できるレオンが完成しました
Finally, I managed to create a Leon I could accept, even if I wasn’t completely satisfied!
それが…こちら！
And here he is!
↑コレコレ！ この険しい目つき♡
There! ↑ That’s what I’m talking about! Those intense eyes! ♡
強いていうなら、髪の分け目も変えられれば良かったのに～！
If I could ask for one thing, I wish I’d been able to change the direction of his hair parting, too!
あと、もっと色のバリエーションが欲しかった。
And I wanted more color variations.
細かな色指定も出来れば完璧だったのに～…まぁ、しょうがないけど～💧
If I could have specified the colors more precisely, it would’ve been perfect… but oh well! 💧
ちょっと口元がシャクれて見えるのは、どう頑張っても直りませんでした
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t fix the way his mouth and chin seemed to jut forward a little.
あくまで、横顔だとシャクれていないんですけどね…💧
His profile doesn’t actually look like that, though… 💧
アップの横顔は最高
His profile in close-up is PERFECT!
私が一番好きなバイオ４レオン…に見えますね♡
He really looks like my favorite version of Leon… Resident Evil 4 Leon! ♡
髪の分け目がド真ん中なので、真正面からの顔はちょっと違和感がありますが、前のレオンよりは遠目でもレオンだ～！と分かる容姿になったと思います♪
Because his hair is parted right down the middle, his face looks a little odd when viewed straight on. But compared to my previous attempt, I think he now looks much more recognizably like Leon, even from a distance! ♪
背中には白い天使の羽が！(薄っすらと、わざと分かりにくく入れてみました
)
He’s got white angel wings on his back! (I added them very faintly on purpose, so they’re difficult to notice! )
髪の毛のグラデーションといい、正面よりちょっと横向きの…↑この角度は完璧です
Between the gradient in his hair and everything else, this slightly angled view ↑ looks PERFECT compared to the straight-on view!
これでOK！っと、ジムの会員証に１枚パシャリ
All right, this one’s good to go!

やっぱり、髪の真ん中分けが違和感💧(本物は左分け)
The middle part in his hair still looks a little strange… 💧 (The real Leon parts his hair on the left.)
でも、これ以上どうすることも出来ないので…これが精いっぱい。
But there’s nothing more I can do about it, so this is the best I can manage.
ルーク師匠と戦っている姿もレオンそのもの♪ (初期設定の服はダサいけど…💧)
And when he’s fighting Master Luke, he looks just like Leon! ♪ (Even if his default outfit is pretty lame… 💧)
トレーニング終了のイキがったポーズも…なんだか愛らしい♡
That cocky pose he strikes after finishing his training is somehow adorable, too! ♡
ルーク師匠に笑顔で答える初々しいレオン。
Here’s Leon, looking so fresh and innocent as he smiles back at Master Luke.
↑これも違和感ないですね～♪
↑ This one looks pretty good, too! ♪
兄弟子・ボシュとメトロシティに繰り出しハシャぐレオン。
Leon heads out into Metro City with his fellow student, Bosch, and gets all excited as they explore the city.
街なかで時々ブサイク…レオン、急に顔どうした💧⁉
But sometimes, Leon looks downright ugly when he’s out on the street…
Leon, what happened to your face all of a sudden?! 💧⁉️
ストーリーを進めると「バックトゥザフューチャー２」の未来に出てきた「ホバーボード」のような柄のキャップをGET。
As I progressed through the story, I unlocked a cap with a pattern resembling the hoverboard from the future in Back to the Future Part II.
どんどんダサくなっているのは気のせい？
Am I imagining things, or are his outfits getting more and more ridiculous?
街で師匠に説教されて厳しい表情…↑こんな顔、よくバイオ２でもしてたよね♪
Here he is looking stern after Master Luke lectures him on the street.
↑ He used to make expressions like that quite often in RE2, too! ♪
そして、最後にこの満面の笑み！
And finally, here’s that huge, beaming smile!
兄弟子・ボシュとのお揃いのキャップが…似合うけど、ちょっとコーディネートが…😓
The matching caps he and his fellow student, Bosch, are wearing look good on them, but… their overall outfits are a little questionable. 😓
これは、いろんな人たちと戦って格好良い服を揃えなくては！
I’m going to have to fight all sorts of people and collect some cooler clothes!
取り敢えず、↑こんな感じ！ 可愛さ爆発
