【Ada Wong, the Woman】— Part 2
(Resident Evil 4 Walkthrough Diary — Continued)

Hello, everyone! ♪
先週から始まったエイダ編(The Another Order) 。
Last week, we kicked off Ada’s chapter (The Another Order).
まだお遊び程度でしたが…、今週から本格的な攻略をしていきたいと思います。
So far, it was more of a little bit of fun than a serious walkthrough, but starting this week, we’re getting down to the real business of playing through the game!
もちろん、レオン編とも連動した話なので、過去記事と比べながら読んで頂くと「そういうことなのか～」って、新たな発見もあって楽しいですよ♪
Of course, Ada’s story runs parallel to Leon’s chapter, so if you read this while comparing it with my previous posts, you’ll have plenty of those wonderful “Oh, so THAT’S what was going on!” moments. ♪

…とその前に、レオン編の小話。
…But before we get started, here’s a little bonus from Leon’s chapter.

以前の記事【気まぐれ１ページ漫画劇場！ 35】でも題材にされた、この「ベリィ・トゥ・ベリィ」。
This “Belly-to-Belly” move was also featured in my earlier post, The Spontaneous One-Page Manga Theater! #35.
別名「フロント・スープレックス」。
It’s also known as a “Front Suplex.”
相手に正面から組み付き、勢いをつけて後方に反り投げる技。
The wrestler grabs their opponent from the front, builds up momentum, and arches backward to throw them over.
かつて、あの前田日明さんがマスターした12種類のスープレックスの中で、「ウンターグルフ」と呼ばれていたもの。
It’s a move that legendary Japanese professional wrestler Akira Maeda once mastered as one of his 12 types of suplexes, where it was known as the “Untergriff.”
それを、なぜかこの危機的状況で使うレオン…。プロレス好きなのかな💧？
And yet, for some reason, Leon chooses to use this move in the middle of a life-or-death situation…
Is he a wrestling fan or something? 💧
では、今週も「エイダ・ウォンという女」(続バイオ４攻略日記)…スタートで～す！
Anyway, let’s get started with this week’s Ada Wong, the Woman (Resident Evil 4 Walkthrough Diary — Continued)!
前回からの続き。
Picking up where we left off…
ある目的のために、この村に潜入したエイダ。
Ada has infiltrated the village to accomplish a certain mission.
まさか、６年振りにこの場所でレオンに再会するとは思いもよりませんでした。
She never imagined she’d run into Leon here again after six whole years.
何も知らないレオンは、大勢の村人に襲われピンチに！
Leon, who has no idea what’s going on, is in serious trouble, surrounded and attacked by a large crowd of villagers!
それを救うため、陰で行動し、ウェスカーに言われた通りに教会の鐘を鳴らしに向かうエイダなのでした。
So, Ada secretly sets things in motion to save him, following Wesker’s instructions and heading off to ring the church bell.
青い矢印は現在地。赤丸は目的地の教会。
The blue arrow marks Ada’s current location, and the red circle marks the church, her destination.
結構、遠いですね。
It’s quite a long way!

まずは、教会へ続く建物の脇からスタート！
We start beside the building leading to the church!
もちろん、この時点では建物に入れないので、カギを探さないと！
Naturally, we can’t enter the building yet, so we’ll have to find a key first.
エイダもレオンに劣らず、蹴りが強力‼
Ada’s kicks are every bit as powerful as Leon’s!!
エイダの体術「バックキック」や「旋風脚」のオンパレードで村人を蹴散らします。
She unleashes a whole series of melee attacks, including her “Back Kick” and “Tornado Kick,” and kicks the villagers out of her way.

それでも、村人たちが押し寄せてくるので、すぐ近くの家(大きな家の向かいの家)に逃げ込むと、同時にレオンが大きな家に逃げ込む様子が伺えます。
Even so, more and more villagers keep coming, so I flee into the nearby house—the one opposite the large house.
At the same time, I catch a glimpse of Leon escaping into the large house!
この村に置いてある木箱や樽から拾えるアイテムは、レオン編とほぼ一緒なのですが…、
The items you can find in the wooden crates and barrels around the village are almost identical to those in Leon’s chapter. However, there’s one important difference in Ada’s chapter…
エイダ編で違うのは、↑ここでもう「くぼみのある仮面」のお宝が手に入ること。
You can also find the treasure known as the “Mask with an Empty Slot” here!
話が短い分、しっかりお宝をGETしないと、資金繰りが厳しいので注意が必要です。
Since Ada’s story is much shorter, you need to collect as much treasure as possible to keep your finances in good shape. Don’t overlook it!
…つまり、エイダもすっかりトレジャーハンターに早変わり💦
..In other words, Ada has become a treasure hunter herself! 💦
この村に来ると、誰もが守銭奴になってしまうのです。
It seems that everyone who comes to this village turns into a greedy money-grubber!

その間、レオンの戦っている声がずーっと聞こえています💦
Meanwhile, I can hear Leon fighting the villagers the whole time! 💦
…ですが、エイダの所にも大勢村人が襲ってくるので、レオンを気にしている暇はありません。
But plenty of villagers are attacking Ada, too, so she doesn’t have time to worry about him.
手榴弾で一掃して、この家から出ようとすると…、何故かコッコが屋根の上に、何か光る物を落としていきます💧
After wiping out the enemies with a grenade, I try to leave the house when, for some reason, a chicken drops something shiny onto the roof. 💧
エイダ専用武器フックショットで屋根に上ると、それは「紋章のカギ」でした。
I climb onto the roof using Ada’s exclusive weapon, the grappling hook, and discover that the shiny object is the Insignia Key!
光り物好きのコッコだったようです。
Apparently, this chicken has a thing for shiny objects.
…それにしても、エイダのフックショットでのアクション💧 どういう身体能力してるんだか💦 スゴすぎですね…。
…But seriously, Ada’s grappling-hook action! 💧 What kind of physical abilities does she have?! 💦 She’s incredible!
これで、もう教会へ続く建物には入れるのですが、この先のことを考えて周辺のアイテムを取りこぼさないように探索しましょう。(もうすでに強欲)
Now we can enter the building leading to the church, but before moving on, let’s thoroughly search the surrounding area so we don’t miss any items.
(She’s already getting greedy.)
アイテムを回収しつつ、レオンにも見つからず、各家を物色するエイダ。
Ada collects items while rummaging through the various houses without being spotted by Leon.
それなのに…、
And yet…
バリーン！
CRASH!!
強引に扉を破って、家に入ったり…レオンと似た者同士だね💧
She forcefully smashes her way through a door to enter a house…
You two really are alike, aren’t you, Leon? 💧
その家にあった鍋に対する↑このコメント💧
Here’s Ada’s comment about the pot she finds inside the house.
同性には手厳しいエイダさん。…確かに、腐った食べ物を放置してはいけませんよね！
She’s pretty harsh on other women, isn’t she? …Although, to be fair, you really shouldn’t leave rotten food lying around!
またある家でのテーブルの上にある水に対しての↑コメント。
And here’s her comment about the water sitting on a table in another house.
お肌が気になるお年頃。
She’s at that age when she’s concerned about her skin!
そして、レオンがいるはずの大きな家にやっと到着。
Finally, I reach the large house where Leon should be.
相変わらず、レオンの声は聞こえているけど、なぜか姿は見えません。
As usual, I can hear his voice, but for some reason, I still can’t see him anywhere.
↑２階にあったショットガンもレオンはちゃんと取ったようで、ひと安心♪
It looks like Leon has already picked up the shotgun on the second floor, too. That’s a relief! ♪
そこにあるシミがついたシーツが掛かっているベットに対しての↑コメント。
And here’s Ada’s comment about the bed covered with stained sheets.
やっぱり、お肌が気になるお年頃。
Yep, she’s still at that age when she’s concerned about her skin!
この村で拾えるアイテムは、お宝の「仮面」以外、レオン編と一緒なので割愛！
Since the items you can find in the village are the same as in Leon’s chapter, apart from the treasure Mask, I’ll skip the rest!
…さぁ、ヤラれ声を上げているレオンを残して教会に向かうわよ♪
…All right, Leon, you can keep groaning in pain. I’m off to the church! ♪
さっき、屋根の上にコッコが置いた「紋章のカギ」を使い、建物の中へ！
I use the Insignia Key that the chicken left on the roof earlier to enter the building!
わぁ！ ビックリした💦
WHOA! THAT SCARED ME! 💦
武器商人とエイダのファーストコンタクト！
It’s Ada’s first encounter with the Merchant!
アナタ、レオン編ではこんなところにいなかったじゃない💧！
Hey, you weren’t here when Leon came through in his chapter! 💧
あ、そういうことか…！
Ah, now I get it…!
時系列ではレオンと会う前に、エイダと会っていることになってるから、開店準備前でこんなところにいたんだね💧
Chronologically, Ada meets the Merchant before she runs into Leon, so he must have been hanging around here before opening his shop! 💧
やっぱり、商魂がスゴイ！
Talk about dedication to business!
…青い炎の用意よりもお客様が…というよりセールスが第一‼
Apparently, getting his blue flames ready can wait. His customers—or rather, making sales—come first!!
ところで、↑の画面の「購入」の右の空白にご注目！
By the way, take a look at the blank space to the right of “Buy” on the screen above!
エイダは武器の改造はできないのです。
Ada can’t upgrade her weapons.
エイダ「…せっかく、トレジャーハンターに本気でなろうと思ったのに、残念ね！」
Ada: “…I was finally getting serious about becoming a treasure hunter, too. What a shame!”
レオン編と同じく、拾ったお宝を早速売っ払います。
Just like in Leon’s chapter, I immediately sell off the treasures I’ve collected.
…が、レオン編よりお金はちょ～シビア💧(現時点)
…But compared with Leon’s chapter, money is incredibly tight at this point! 💧
エイダは武器改造にペセタをつぎ込まなくて良いからなのでしょうね。
Maybe that’s because Ada doesn’t have to spend her pesetas on weapon upgrades.
仮面はこの時点で、全部の宝石がはめ込まれていないので、まだ売れません。
I can’t sell the Mask yet, either, because I haven’t filled all its gemstone slots.
新しい武器も大きいアタッシュケースも買えません。
I can’t afford any new weapons or a larger attaché case.
エイダ「やだ～、レオンより貧乏じゃないの～💧」
Ada: “Oh, come on! I’m even poorer than Leon! 💧”
仕方なく、武器商人に別れを告げ、次に進みます。
With no other choice, I say goodbye to the Merchant and move on.
…とその前に、現時点でのアタッシュケースの様子。
…But first, here’s a look at the contents of Ada’s attaché case at this point.
武器商人と取引できなかったので、村で拾ったアイテムをこのままやりくりするしかありません。
Since I couldn’t do any business with the Merchant, I’ll have to make do with the items I’ve picked up in the village.
次の部屋に行くと…、
I enter the next room…
あれ？ ここにあるはずの火炎瓶がありません。
Huh? The Molotov cocktail that should be hanging here is missing.
あ！ もしかして、それを釣り下げてくれていたのは…武器商人⁉
Oh! Wait a minute… Was the Merchant the one who hung it there?!
開店準備前だから、ないのかな💦⁉
Maybe it’s missing because he hasn’t opened his shop yet! 💦 —
火炎瓶が燃え尽きた後の「スピネル」に期待してたのに～。
I was looking forward to picking up the Spinel after the Molotov cocktail burned out, too!
ないものは、しょうがない…。
Well, there’s nothing I can do about what’s missing…
下へと続く、ハッチみたいな扉を開けて降ります。
I open a hatch-like door leading downward and climb down.
「ごへろ～！」(おばさん空耳)
“Goh-heh-roh!” (An old woman’s voice, as misheard by the player.)
下に降りると、すぐに村人たちの空耳が聞こえてきます！
As soon as I reach the bottom, I can hear the villagers’ familiar misheard dialogue!
え～！ 村人たち、ここまで追いかけてくるんだ～💦 ↑こんな狭い階段なのに‼
Wait, what?! The villagers follow me all the way down here?! 💦
And look at how narrow these stairs are!!
そういえば、さっきの武器商人…大丈夫かしら？
I wonder if the Merchant we just saw is going to be all right…
なんて思いつつ、３人の村人を撃破！
Anyway, I take out all three villagers!
洞窟内の広い空間に来ると…、やっぱり開店準備中なのか、ここにも火炎瓶がありません。
When I reach the spacious area inside the cave…
Sure enough, the Merchant still hasn’t opened for business, so there are no Molotov cocktails here, either.
地面に直置きされている弾類を拾い、↑に見える木箱には、
I pick up the ammunition lying directly on the ground, and inside the wooden crate you can see above…
なんと、「仮面の宝石(緑)」が入っていました。
Believe it or not, there’s a Green Gemstone for the Mask inside!
早速、お宝を組み合わせ。
I immediately combine the treasures.
どうやら、ここの空間で、武器商人は商売を始めようとしているようです。
It looks like the Merchant is planning to set up shop in this area.
エイダ「武器を扱うのに、この水場で
⁉ 弾薬とか濡れてダメになりそう…。」
Ada: “You’re going to sell weapons in a place with all this water?! Won’t the ammunition get wet and become useless?”
…と、余計な心配をしていたら、
Just as I’m worrying about something that isn’t even my problem…
「あいえすた！」(おばさん空耳)
“Aye-ess-tah!” (An old woman’s voice, as misheard by the player.)
扉の向こうから村人がお出迎え💧
A villager greets me from the other side of the door! 💧
まさかの後方から…おじさんも現れ、挟み撃ちにされそうに！
And then, unbelievably, a man appears from behind me, threatening to catch me in a pincer attack!
ショットガンで蹴散らしながら、強引に倒しました。
I fight them off with my shotgun and manage to take them down by force.
梯子を登ると、おばさんがお待ちかね💦
When I climb up the ladder, an old woman is waiting for me! 💦
レオン編とは違う…村人の配置が新鮮で、初見プレイのように楽しい♪
The villagers are positioned differently from Leon’s chapter, which makes everything feel fresh and exciting—almost like playing the game for the first time! ♪
それでも、エイダ編でも鳥の巣はちゃんとあるので、撃ってアイテムをGETしましょう♪
Even in Ada’s chapter, there are bird nests, so be sure to shoot them down and collect the items♪
もちろん、墓場の３羽カラスも健在！
And, of course, the three crows in the cemetery are still here!
「閃光手榴弾」でペセタ稼ぎ♪
I use a Flash Grenade to earn some easy pesetas! ♪
「うんこだ、捨て～ろ～！」(空耳)
“It’s poop! Throw it awaaay!” (A misheard line.)
その分、ここにいる村人に見つかっちゃうんですけどね💧
Of course, the downside is that the villagers here notice me. 💧
その墓場の中央にあるお墓から「仮面の宝石(橙)」をGET。
I collect the Orange Gemstone for the Mask from the grave in the center of the cemetery.
早速、組み合わせました。
I combine the treasures right away.
墓場の村人を一掃し、教会の前まで来ると…見張りのように村人２人がいました(弓矢村人付き)が、すぐに殲滅。
After wiping out the villagers in the cemetery, I finally reach the front of the church.
Two villagers are standing guard, one of them armed with a bow, but I quickly eliminate them both.
教会の正面入り口から入ろうとしますが、そんなに易々と入れませんよね～💧
I try to enter through the church’s main entrance, but of course, it’s not going to be that easy! 💧
その脇にある勝手口みたいなところも通れないか…。
I wonder if I can get in through the side entrance, either…

教会の裏側に行ける脇道があってので、行ってみると仕掛けが！
I find a narrow path leading around to the back of the church, so I follow it and discover a mechanism!
一応、教会のカギになる「丸い紋章」は取れたけど…、
I manage to obtain the Round Insignia, which serves as the key to the church, but…
仕掛けが邪魔をして戻れなくなっちゃった。代わりになるアイテムを探さないと！
The mechanism blocks my way back, leaving me trapped on the other side!
I’ll have to find an item to replace it.
ここは一旦、仕掛けに「丸い紋章」を戻しました。
For now, I put the Round Insignia back into the mechanism.
手掛かりを掴むために、教会の先の道へ！
To find a clue, I head down the path beyond the church!
「ごへろ～！」(空耳)
“Goh-heh-roh!” (Another misheard line.)
吊り橋に見張り村人が３人待機していました。
Three villagers are waiting on the suspension bridge, keeping watch.
普通にハンドガンを撃っただけなのに、「キャーキャー」「ワーワー」と楽しそうに谷底に落ちていく村人たち💧
All I do is fire my handgun, yet the villagers cheerfully go “Aaaah! Waaah!” as they tumble into the ravine! 💧
エイダ「ちょっと～、落ちるならアイテム落としてから落ちなさいよ～
」
Ada: “Hey! If you’re going to fall, at least drop some items first! ”
…とすっかりエイダもレオン並みの強欲さを発揮。
…Looks like Ada is becoming just as greedy as Leon!
ていやっ！
Take THAT!
途中の小屋で、蛇入り木箱に八つ当たり💧
At a small hut along the way, she takes out her frustration on a wooden crate containing a snake. 💧
けれど、出たのは白色卵。チッと、舌打ちするエイダ。
But all that comes out is a White Egg.
“Tch!” Ada clicks her tongue in disappointment.
…アナタもヘビ卵、イケる口なのね💧
..So you’re into snake eggs, too, huh? 💧
そして、吊り橋をさらに進むと…、
And as I continue across the suspension bridge…

チェンソー女子…登場
！ 良かった～💦 姉妹じゃあなくって～。
THE CHAINSAW SISTERS!
Phew! Thank goodness they’re not actually sisters!
…って、このショットガン、弱すぎ！
…But this shotgun is so weak!
敵に近寄らないと火力が発揮されない💧
It only does decent damage when you’re right next to the enemy. 💧
ポンプアクションも遅いし、これじゃあこの先、思いやられそうですね。
The pump-action mechanism is slow, too. Things aren’t looking very promising for the rest of this mission!
それでも、そのショットガンで、チェンソー女子を倒すことが出来ました。
Even so, I manage to defeat the Chainsaw Sister with that very shotgun.
取り敢えず、「ステインの宝石(緑)」GET!
For now, I collect the Green Gemstone of the Green Eye!
これをあの仕掛けの「丸い紋章」の代わりにするんだよね？
I’m supposed to use this in place of the Round Insignia in that mechanism, right?
…大きさ違い過ぎて、代わりにならないんじゃない💦⁉
…But isn’t the gemstone way too small to replace it?! 💦
あと、チェンソー女子…3,000ペセタ…やっす…💧
And another thing… only 3,000 pesetas for defeating the Chainsaw Sister? That’s so cheap… 💧
それでいいのか？ チェンソー姉妹片割れ⁉
Is that really all one of the Chainsaw Sisters is worth?!
そして、さっきの動画のように仕掛けを解き、「ステイン」をはめてみました。
Anyway, I solve the mechanism as shown in the previous video and insert the Green Eye gemstone.
ガー！
CLANG!
出口を塞いでいた鉄格子が開きました。
The iron gate blocking the exit opens!
あんなに違う大きさの「ステイン」でも、大丈夫なんかぃっ💧
How on earth can a gemstone that’s so much smaller than the original insignia work as a replacement?! 💧
この「ステインの宝石(緑)」は、のちのレオンのお宝謎解きの仕掛けになりましたとさ…。
And so, this Green Gemstone of the Green Eye eventually becomes part of a treasure puzzle in Leon’s chapter.
めでたし、めでたし。
All’s well that ends well!
さぁ、これでOK! 教会に急ぐわよ‼
All right, we’re good to go! Let’s hurry to the church!!

やっぱり、教会前は大勢の村人がお出迎え！
Sure enough, a large crowd of villagers is waiting for me in front of the church!
この威力のないショットガンで蹴散らすわよ♪
I’ll just have to mow them down with this underpowered shotgun! ♪
(今の時点では、連射も効くし、クリティカルが出るハンドガンの方が強いけど、使いすぎてしまい弾がないので💧)
(At this point, the handgun is actually stronger because it can fire rapidly and has a chance of scoring critical hits. Unfortunately, I’ve been using it so much that I’m running out of ammunition. 💧)
村人を殲滅したら、早速「丸い紋章」を使い、教会内へ！
After eliminating all the villagers, I use the Round Insignia to enter the church!
わぁ！ ここにも村人‼ エイダ編は立て続けに戦闘ばかりだね💦
Whoa! There are villagers in here, too!
Ada’s chapter really is one battle after another! 💦
ショットガンで村人を一掃。
I wipe out the villagers with my shotgun.
残念なことに、祭壇の近くに供えてあるはずの3,000ペセタはありませんでした。
Unfortunately, the 3,000 pesetas that should have been offered near the altar aren’t there.
(レオンが来る直前に村人が供えるのね💧)
(The villagers must place the offering just before Leon arrives! 💧)
その他のアイテムは大体レオン編と同じですが、
Most of the other items are the same as in Leon’s chapter, but…
この場所に「仮面の宝石(紫)」があるので忘れずに！
Don’t forget that you can find the Purple Gemstone for the Mask in this spot!
早速、お宝の組み合わせ。これで「仮面」のお宝完成～
I combine the treasures right away.
And with that, the Mask treasure is COMPLETE!
ねぇ、武器商人、まだ～？って、言っている場合ではなかった💦
I was so caught up in wondering, “Hey, Merchant, where are you?!” that I’d almost forgotten…
…村でレオンがピンチだったわ💦 早く鐘を鳴らさないと‼
Leon is in trouble back in the village! 💦
梯子を登って２階部分に行くと、まだまだ見張りの村人が待ち構えていました。
I’ve got to ring that bell as soon as possible!!
I climb the ladder to the second floor, where even more villagers are waiting for me.
全員、エイダの蹴りの餌食になりました💧
Every single one of them becomes a victim of Ada’s kicks! 💧
そして、２階ある扉の前に行くと、
Then, when I approach the door on the second floor…

すすり泣き…いうよりは、必死で涙をこらえているような声に聞こえますが…。
It sounds less like sobbing and more like someone desperately trying to hold back their tears…
エイダにはどうすることも出来ませんので、次に行きます。
There’s nothing Ada can do for them, so she moves on.
ここの樽から、少量のペセタを拾い、
I pick up a small number of pesetas from a barrel here.

ステンドグラスの仕掛けを解くと…やっと鐘を鳴らすことが出来ました
After solving the stained-glass puzzle, I can finally ring the church bell!
「中野バーガー」(空耳)からの、やっとタイトル登場！
“Nakano Burger!” (A misheard line.)
And at last, the title screen appears!
陰ながら、レオンを無事に助けることが出来ました
Ada has secretly managed to save Leon!
チャプター１終了。
Chapter 1: COMPLETE!
そして、チャプター１を終えた、エイダの感想…というか記録。
And here’s Ada’s report—or rather, her thoughts—after completing Chapter 1.
どうせ音声なしになるので、敢えて画像で添付💧
Since the audio will probably end up missing again, I’m including screenshots instead. 💧
エイダの目的が少し伺えますね。
We can get a little glimpse of Ada’s objective here.
ところで、このエイダ編…レオン本編と違って、ムービーがぼやけて見えますよね？
By the way, have you noticed how the cutscenes in Ada’s chapter look blurry compared with those in Leon’s main story?
エイダ編、リマスターしてませんよね、CAPCOMさん⁉
CAPCOM, you haven’t remastered Ada’s chapter, have you?!
PS２のままの映像ですよね💧？ PS３からそうでした。
These are still the original PS2 graphics, aren’t they? 💧
That’s how they looked starting with the PS3 version, too.
まさかの、PS4版でもそうだとは思いませんでした…💧 じゃあPS5版も💦？
I never expected them to look like this even in the PS4 version… 💧
Does that mean the PS5 version will look the same, too?! 💦
まぁ、ゲームをやる分には支障がないので良いのですけど…。
Well, at least it doesn’t affect the gameplay, so I suppose it’s fine…
取り敢えず、第１関門突破！ まだまだ、エイダの任務は始まったばかり‼
