今回、レオンが訪れたのは…ランドマークタワーがシンボルの横浜みなとみらい♪
This time, Leon visited Yokohama’s Minato Mirai, the waterfront district known for its iconic Landmark Tower.
そこで、ドラゴンクエストカーニバルが行わているのです
And that’s where the Dragon Quest Carnival is being held
みなとみらい周辺がドラクエ一色♪
The entire Minato Mirai area is filled with Dragon Quest vibes♪
今回の小旅行は「スランプラリー」やモンスター探索を思う存分楽しみます！
On this little trip, I’m going to fully enjoy the stamp rally and monster hunting to my heart’s content！
「…ということで、神奈川県のみなとみらいにやってきました～♪
ナビゲーターのレオンです！
今回の小旅行記は…もちろん、この〈ドラクエカーニバル〉目当てです‼」
“…So, here I am in Minato Mirai, Kanagawa♪
I’m your navigator, Leon！
And of course, this little trip is all about the Dragon Quest Carnival!!”
「え？ 他のゲーム会社のイベントなのにいいのかって？」
“Huh？ You’re wondering if it’s okay even though it’s an event by another game company？”
「堅いこと言いっこなし！ 楽しければ良いのさ♪
人生楽しんだ者勝ちって言うでしょ？
もちろん、今回もちゃ～んとゲストをお招きしています
…では、早速、待ち合わせ場所の〈みなとみらい〉駅中央改札口に行ってみよう♪」
“Hey, don’t be so uptight！
As long as it’s fun, that’s all that matters♪
You know what they sayー life is won by those who enjoy it, right？
And course, I’ve invited a special guest again this time
…Now then, let’s head over to the central ticket gates at Minato Mirai Station and meet up♪”

レオンの胸に躊躇なく飛び込む、この可愛い少女は………？
This cute girl who throws herself into Leon’s chest without a second thought is…？
「おぉ～、シェリー！ 元気そうだな♪
…さぁ、今回のゲストは、バイオ２＆RE:２でお馴染みの幼女💧 シェリー・バーキンで～す‼」
“Oh, Sherry！ You’re looking well♪
…And for today’s guest, we have the familiar young girl from Resident Evil ２and RE:２ー Sherry Birkin!!”
「はぁ～い、皆さん、こんにちは～
シェリーです！ レオン、この企画に私を呼んでくれてありがとう♪」
“Hi everyone, helloo～ It’s Sherry！
Leon, thanks for inviting me to be part of this！”
「今回の旅行先はシェリーにピッタリだと思ってね。…シェリー、ドラクエは好き？」
“I figured this destination would be perfect for you, Sherry.
…So, do you like Dragon Quest？”
「好き、好き、だ～い好き♪
〈くさった死体〉に〈リビングデッド〉、〈アニマルゾンビ〉と〈ドラゴンゾンビ〉が特にだ～い好き♫」
“I do, I doー I looove it ♪
Rotten Corpses, Living Dead, Animal Zombies, and Dragon Zombies are my absolute favorites♫”
「…全部ゾンビじゃん💧 ラクーンシティであんな目に遭って、嫌じゃあないのかい？」
“…They’re all zombies💧
After everything you went through in Raccoon City, doesn’t that bother you？”
「まぁ、そんな〈くさった死体〉が闊歩するラクーンシティをクレアに会うまで、１人で生き残れた私ですからね～♪
…ゾンビの１匹や２匹…、どうってことないわ！ むしろ、敵として好物♡」
“Well, I’m the one who managed to survive all alone in Raccoon Cityー where roaming around－ until I met Claire, you know～♪
…A zombie or two is nothing to me！
If anything, they’re my favorite kind of enemy♡”
(…そして、伝説へ！ …ではなく💦、まさかのシェリー、…そして、未来のエージェントへ💧)
(…And thus, a legend was born！
…Just kidding💦ー more like, Sherry becoming a future agent💧)
中央改札から、すぐに見えてくるのは…！
Right after passing through the central ticket gates, the first thing you’ll see is…！
バーン！
Boom！
等身大(？)のゴーレムが！
A life-size Golem！
「大迫力～♪」
“So impressive～♪”
「早速のお出迎え♪ オラわっくわくしてきたぞ～♡」
“What a welcome right off the bat♪
Man, I’m getting pumped～♡”
「…悟空？」
“…Goku？”
そして、第１の目的地…「マークイズみなとみらい」に到着♪
And then, they arrive at their first destination: MARK IS Minato Mirai♪
駅から地下直結で行けます。
It’s directly connected to the station via an underground passage.
出入口近くに…、
Near the entrance…
ドラクエといえば、このモンスター♪ スライムがポヨンとお出迎え！
When it comes to Dragon Quest, it’s got to be this monster♪
A bouncy Slime is here to welcome them！
＆「可愛い～」
“So cute～”
多分、実物(💧？)の４倍くらいの大きさ。
It’s probably about four times its actual size.
それでもこんなにキュート♪
Even so, it’s still this adorable♪
長年、ファンから愛されている理由が分かりますね！
You can really see why it’s been loved by fans for so many years！
そして、スタンプラリーの台紙をサービスカウンターで入手♪
And they pick up a stamp rally sheet at the service counter♪
台紙もスライム
スタンプを押す裏側は↑こんな感じ♪
Even the sheet is Smile-themed And the back－ where you stamp it－ looks like ↑this♪
そして、中央広場には、キングスライム♪
And in the central plaza, there’s a King Slime♪
「ぷくぷくして可愛い～♪」
“It’s so plump and adorable～♪”
「あのカンムリ欲しさに、何匹狩ったことか…💦」
“I can’t even count how many I’ve hunted just to get that crown…💦”
その頭上には、各種スライムたち♪(崩れたスライムタワー？)
And above it, various Slimes are piled up♪ (A collapsed Slime Tower？)
「エスカレーターに乗りながら、じっくり観察できるよ♪」
“You can take a good look at it while riding the escalator♪”
「レオン、早く上に行こ！行こ♪」
“Leon, let’s go upstairs already！ Come on♪”
…と、その前に！
…But before that！
ガオオ～！
Rooaaar！
中央入口(屋外)にキラーパンサー♪
At the central entrance (outdoors), there’s a killer Panther♪
「でっか～♪」
“That’s huge～♪”
「これ欲しい…♡ …レオン、〈ボロンゴ〉派？ 〈チロル〉派？」
“I want this♡ Leon, are you Team Borongo or Team Chirole？”
「………〈ゲレゲレ〉💧」
“……Geregere💧”
「(それは)ないわ～！」
“…No way！”
そして、登りエスカレーターで各種スライムを堪能しながら２Ｆへ。
Then, they head up to the second floor by escalator, enjoying all the different Slimes along the way.
１つ目のスタンプを発見！
They find the first stamp！
桜木町駅とワールドポーターを行き来するロープウェイと空を飛ぶモンスターたち♪
A ropeway running between Sakuragicho Station and World Porters, along with flying monsters in the sky♪
とっても可愛い♡
So adorable♡
１つ目のスタンプを押しました♪
They’ve stamped their first mark♪
スタンプの柄は「ちいさなメダル」
The stamp design is a Small Medal
これは嬉しい♡
This is a nice surprise♡
そして、２Ｆを探索
And now, they explore the second floor
ばくだんいわに遭遇しました💦
We’ve run into Bomb Boulder💦
ばくだんいわがじっとこちらの様子をみている…。
The Bomb Boulder is quietly watching them…
「じー。」
“Stare…stare…”
ばくだんいわがじっとこちらの様子をみている…。

「何なのよ？ 一体💧」
“What is that thing anyway？💧”
ばくだんいわがじっとこちらの様子をみている…。

メガンテを唱えられる前に、ここから立ち去ろう💦‼」
“…！
Let’s get out of here before it casts Megante💦!!”
シェリーを横抱きに抱え、その場から即立ち去りました💧
Leon scooped up Sherry and quickly left the area💧
そして、そのまま３Ｆへ！
And then, they headed straight up to the third floor！
２つ目のスタンプを発見♪
They’ve found the second stamp♪
中華街とドラゴンとスカイドラゴンのデザインがとてもピッタリ
The design featuring Chinatown, a dragon, and a Sky Dragon fits perfectly
そして、４Ｆには…、
And on the fourth floor…
草原にいるスライムたち。
Slimes in a grassy field.
基本のスライムとスライムベスを激写
They capture a shot of a regular Slime and a Slime B
「マークイズみなとみらい」では、最後のスタンプを発見！
At MARK IS Minato Mirai, they find the final stamp！
赤レンガとゴーレム💦
The red Brik Warehouse and a Golem💦
これもナイスな組み合わせ！
That’s also a great combination！
その５Ｆのテラスでは…、
And on the fifth-floor terrace…
ドラキーたちが真夏の陽射しを浴びながら、宙を舞っていました💦
Drackies were flying through the air, basking in the midsummer sunlight💦
「ドラキー、メイジドラキー、タホドラキー…え～と、え～っと💦 金色のが出てこない！」
“Dracky, Mage Dracky, Taho Dracky…um, ummm💦 I can’t remember the golden one！”
「タホドラキーが出るだけでも、すごいことだけどね💦」
“Even seeing a Taho Dracky is pretty rare, you know💦”
「あ！ ドラキーマだ♪」
“Ah！ Drakima♪”
(…シェリー、結構ドラクエやり込んでるな～💧)
(…Sherry is actually pretty deep into Dragon Quest, huh💧)
そして、次の目的地「ランドマークプラザ」へ。
And then, they head to their next destination: Landmark Plaza.
キラーマシーンがお出迎え♪
A killer Machine is here to welcome them♪
あまりにも出来が良くて、格好良いので記念撮影
It was so well-made and cool that they took a commemorative photo
涼しいビル内には、ドラクエショップが！
Inside the cool building, there’s a Dragon Quest shop！
店前でゴーレムも待ち構えていました♪
A Golem is also waiting in front of the store♪
中央広場では宙に浮く巨大なスライム♪
In the central plaza, a giant Slime is floating in the air♪
あまりにも大きくて、１匹でキングスライムになれそう💧
It’s so huge that it could become a King Slime all on its own💧
ランドマークプラザにもキングスライム♪
There’s also a King Slime at Landmark Plaza♪
コチラは、ほっぺがぷっくぷく～
This one has extra puffy cheeks
「わぁ～、可愛い～♪
…ん？ あれは！」
“Wow, so cute～♪
…Huh？ What’s that！”
「横浜ベイスターズスライム～♪」
“Yokohama BayStars Slime～♪”
「んな、アホな！」
“No way, that’s ridiculous！”
…三浦監督ゴメンなさい💧
…Sorry, Manager Miura💧
その近くの壁に…！
And nearby on the wall…！
「ゴーレム？…いや、ストーンゴーレムかな♪」
“A Golem？…No, maybe a Stone Golem♪”
「ドラキー群だぁ～♪ 可愛い～♡」
“A whole group of Drackies♪ So cute♡”
そして、ランドマークプラザB２Ｆで最初のスタンプを発見！
And then, on the second basement floor of Landmark Plaza, they find the first stamp！
ランドマークに乗っているプニプニのキングスライムが良い味出してます💧
The squishy King Slime sitting on Landmark is really charming💧
これで、４つ目のスタンプ。
That makes the fourth stamp.
プリズニャンも窓を駆けます
A Prisnyan is running along the windows too
そして、次のスタンプのために４Ｆへ！
And then, they b head up to the fourth floor for the next stamp！
「あ、あれは！」
“Ah, that’sー！”
「なんか、踊ってますな～💧」
“Looks like something’s dancing～💧”
「ハハッ！
〈フレイムは なつのあつさをよろこんでいる！〉だって♪」
“Haha！
‘The Flame is delighted by the summer heat！’♪”
「イヤー！ ザキ唱えないで～
」
“Nooo！ Don’t cast Zaki on me！💦”
「どうした？ シェリー⁉」
“What’s wrong, Sherry?!”
「忘れもしない…ドラクエ２！
苦しかった〈ロンダルギアの洞窟〉を抜けて、やっと裏世界に辿り着いたのに、最後のほこら前でこのブリザードが現れて…ザキ＆ザラキでパーティが全滅
お金も半分失い、洞窟攻略前から、またやり直さなきゃいけなくなったのよ～
」
“I’ll never forget it…Dragon Quest Ⅱ！
After struggling through the brutal Rendarak Cave, I finally reached the overworldー but right before the final shrine, a Blizzard appeared…and wiped out my entire party with Zaki and Zaraki
I lost half my gold and had to start all over from before the dungeon againーnooo！”
「…あったね、そんなこと💧
FC版のドラクエ２は、結構エグかったもんな～💦」
“…Yeah, I remember that💧
The Family computer version of Dragon Quest Ⅱ was pretty brutal💧”
そして、５つ目のスタンプを発見！
And then, they find the fifth stamp！
ゴールデンスライムの観覧車♪
A Golden Slime Ferris Wheel♪
みなとみらいの大観覧車もこの期間、夜にはドラクエカラーにライトアップされるそうです。
During this period, the large Ferris wheel in Minato Mirai is also lit up at night in Dragon Quest colors.
その近くの窓にギズモ！
A Gizmo on the nearby window！
「左から、フロストギズモ、ヒートギズモ、ギズモ！」
“From the left: Frost Gizmo, Heat Gizmo, Gizmo！”
「はい、よく出来ました～💦」
“Very good～💦”
ランドマークタワーに通ずる自動ドアには、マニアックなモンスターたちも♪
On the automatic doors leading to Landmark Tower, even some niche monsters are featured♪
「私、全部の名前言えるよ♪ レオンは？」
“I can name all of them, you know？
How about you, Leon？”
「…い、言えましぇ～ん💧」(シェリー、もうマニアの域じゃん💧)
“…I-I can’t name them all💧
(Sherry is already at a hardcore fan level💧)
その様子を壁からいたずらもぐらが覗いていました💧
A mischievous Mole peeks out from the wall, watching the scene💧
ちょっと見つけにくい壁にもシャドーが漂っています💧
Shadows are lingering even on the harder-to spot walls💧
休憩所の近くにさまようよろいも彷徨ってました💦
A Knight Aberrant was also wandering near the rest area💦
ベビーサタンも、いつものように舌を出しながら、足りないMPでイオナズンを唱えようとしています💧
A baby Satan is, as usual, sticking out its tongue while trying to cast lonazun with not enough Magic Points💧
「いろんな場所にモンスターが隠れているな。
本当に冒険しているみたいで、探すのが楽しいな♪
…！ あ、あれは‼」
“There are monsters hidden all over the place.
It really feels like an adventure－ this is fun to search for♪
…！ Ah, what’s that!!”
「トトロスライム♪」
“ToToro Slime♪”
「違います
！」
“No, it isn’t !!”
「じゃあ、何スライム？」
“Then what kind of Slime is it？”
「あんまり深堀しない方がいいぞ、シェリー💦」
“You probably shouldn’t dig too deep into that, Sherry💦”
「は～い♪」
“Okay～♪”
さすがに「ラクーン事件」を経験したシェリー。大人の事情…よく分かっているね💧
As expected of Sherry, who survived the Raccoon incident…she really understands the ‘adult circumstances’…I guess💧
本当に宝石店の前にいるおどるほうせき💧
A Dancing Jewel really standing in front of the jewelry store💧
ちょっと、光の加減で見にくいキメラ💧
A chimera that’s a bit hard to see due to the lighting💧
こちらはもっと見にくいモーモン💧
And here’s an even harder-to-see Momon💧
そして、最後の６つ目のスタンプを発見！
And then, they find the sixth and final stamp！
ベイブリッジの下で、ダイオウイカと船に乗るあらくれ♪
Under the Bay Bridge, an Archfiend Barb and a giant squid ride on a boat♪
これも素敵
This is lovely too
全てのちいさなメダル(スタンプ)が集まり、完成～
All the Small Medals have been collected－ complete
これで限定の景品がもらえます♪

They take the elevator all the way up to the 69th floor, 273meters above ground！

With the other two legends having passed on to another world, he must feel all the more lonely…
このフロアには、鳥山明さんの直筆のモンスターのイラスト、すぎやまこういちさんの直筆の楽譜、堀井雄二さんの直筆の企画書が展示されています。
On this floor, there are original handwritten monster illustrations by Akira Toriyama, handwritten musical scores by Koichi Sugiyama, and handwritten planning documents by Yuji Horii on display.
全て撮影禁止なので、今回ご紹介できませんでした。
Since photography is not allowed, they weren’t able to show them this time.

They also took photo together with a Hammer hood and a Slime Knight
展望台のガラス窓には様々なモンスターたちが！
Various monsters are displayed on the observation deck’s glass windows！

…ただの、しびれくらげだったりして💧
… Or maybe it’s just a Paralyzing Jellyfish💧
最後は、ランドマークタワーから見下ろしたコスモワールド

まるで親子のように手を繋いで、みなとみらい駅に向かうレオンとシェリー。
Holding hands like a parent and child, Leon and Sherry head toward Minato Mirai Station.
違うゲームのイベントだったけど、たまにはこういう休みも良いものだよね♪
It may have been an event from a different game, but sometimes a day like this is just what you need♪
…バイオの世界では、こんな安らぎが２人にはないから…。
…Because in the world of Resident Evil, there’s no such peace for the two of them…
少しでも、噓の世界でも、気持ちを休める空間があってほしい…。
Even if it’s only in a fictional setting, I hope they can have a place where they can rest, even just a little…
そして、改札を通り、帰りの電車へ…。
And then, they pass through the ticket gates and head for the train home…
「あ…あれ？ あんなところにもモンスターが！」
“H-huh？
There’s a monster over there too！”
「えむえむさん⁉」
“Emu-Emu-san?!”
「誰～？」
“Who’s that～？”
どうやら、みなとみらい線のキャラクターだったようです💧
Apparently, it’s a character from the Minato Mirai Line💧
最後にお土産として、キーホルダーを買いました。
As a final souvenir, they bought some keychains.

左・シェリー、右・レオン用。
Left for Sherry, right for Leon.
