遅いお昼を食べ、２人は一路、江ノ島の中心部に戻り、江ノ島のシンボル「シーキャンドル」に登ります♪

After a late lunch, the two of them headed straight back to central Enoshima and made their way up its iconic landmark, the Enoshima Sea Candle♪

その前に、ここで本日２度目の…おみくじタ～イム♪

But before that, it’s time for today’s second omikuji♪

江の島中心部に戻る途中に、もう１度「奥津宮」で今回はお手軽な方💧の「江島神社おみくじ」に挑戦！

On the way back to central Enoshima, they stopped once again at Okutsumiya Shrine, where this time they tried the simpler Enoshima Shrine omikuji！

さぁ、今度はどんな結果が出たかなー？

So, what kind of result did they get this time～？

左：アルバートさん…大吉♪

Left: Wesker →　Great blessing (daikichi) ♪

右：レオン…大吉♪

＆「おぉ、２人とも大吉‼」

“Oh！ Both of us got great blessings‼”

「でも、オレの方が内容が良い気がする～♪」

“But I feel like mine has slightly better content～♪”

「…同じ大吉なのに～？まさか、大吉は大吉でも…番号が若い方が本物…とか？」

“…They’re both great blessings though…💧

Don’t tell me a great blessing still has rankings…like the lower the number, the ‘real’ one？”

「だったら、１番だったら、もっとすごい内容だったのか？…気になる～💧」

“If that’s the case, does that mean number one would’ve had an even more amazing fortune？…Now I’m curious～💧”

江の島でのおみくじ対決…(仲良く💧)引き分け～

The omikuji showdown in Enoshima…ended in a friendly💧 draw

…やはり、意外と気が合う２人なのかも？

…Maybe these two actually get along better than expected？

そして、奥津宮からまた階段をアップダウンして💦

And then, after going up and down more stairs from Okutsumiya💦

遂に来ました！コッキング苑‼

They finally arrived！ The Samuel Cocking Garden!!

夜にはこんなライトアップもされ、素敵に江ノ島を演出してくれます

At night, it’s beautifully illuminated like this, creating a stunning atmosphere across Enoshima

そして、今の季節…お昼の時間帯には無料開放されています♪(夜からは有料)

And during the season…it’s open to the public for free during the daytime♪

(It becomes a paid entry area at night)

「江の島弁財天仲見世通り」でも見た「国際アート展」もここで開催されています。

The International Art Exhibition, which was also featured along Enoshima Benzaiten Nakamise Street, is being held here as well.

そして、その近くにある展望台。

And the observation deck nearby.

鎌倉方面の海を一望できます

They can enjoy a sweeping view the ocean toward the Kamakura area

なんと、藤沢市はアメリカのマイアミ・ビーチ市と都市提携しています♪

Fujisawa City is actually a sister city of Miami Beach in the United States♪

＆「へぇ、知らなかった！」

“Oh, we didn’t know that！”

そこから、手入れされたガーデンを進むと、

And from there, as you walk further through the well-maintained garden…

見えてきました！シーキャンドル♪

It came into view！ The Sea Candle♪”

早速、展望台エレベーターへGO！

Without delay, they head straight to the observation elevatorー GO！

ゆっくり上へと上がっております♪

Slowly, they rise upward♪

展望台に着くと、360度の大パノラマ

Once they reach the observation deck, a 360-degree panoramic view unfold.

更に階段で、より高いデッキまで登ると、「シーキャンドル」の外に出れて海風を感じられます♪

And if they climb even higher via the stairs to the upper deck, they can step outside the Sea Candle itself and feel the ocean breeze♪

小田急線片瀬江の島駅方面。

Towards Katase-Enoshima Station on the Odakyu Line.

太平洋側。

On the Pacific Ocean side.

お昼を食べた「魚見亭」方面。

Toward Uomi-tei, where they had lunch.

茅ヶ崎方面。(残念ながら、今日は遠くの山に薄雲が掛かって富士山が見えません💧)

Towards the Chigasaki area.

(Unfortunately, today a thin layer of clouds is hanging over the distant mountains, so Mt. Fuji can’t be seen💧)

「はぁ～、気っ持ち良い～♪ やっぱり高いところって最っ高だな！」

“Ahh, this feels great～♪ High places really are the best！”

「アレが茅ヶ崎…か。てっきり〈江ノ島〉って昔からのイメージで茅ヶ崎市にあると思ってた！」

“So that’s Chigasaki…I always thought Enoshima was in Chigasaki City because of its old-fashioned image！”

「あ！オレも～♪」

“Ah！ Me too♪”

「サザンとかTUBEの影響力…って、やっぱりすごかったんだな…」 (ボソリ)

“Southern All Stars…TUBE…their influence really is something else…” (muttering)

「…アルバートさん。サザンとかTUBE…知ってんだ…。」

“…Albert. You actually know Southern All Stars and TUBE…💧”

「………💧」

「………？」

「………💦」

「………？？」

「………」

「………？？？」

「…いいや、知らんよ？(アメリカ人だし)」

“…Nope, I don’t. (I’m American, after all.)”

「嘘つけ～ぃ！

…って、それに反応しちゃうオレも結構良い年～💦」

“Oh, come on, you’re lying～！

…Wait, I’m reacting to this too, so I guess I’m not that young anymore～💦”

空からの江ノ島の絶景を堪能した２人なのでした♪

And so, the two of them fully enjoyed the breathtaking aerial view of Enoshima♪

「シーキャンドル」を降り、また階段アップダウンで再び訪れた「魚見亭」。

After coming down from the Sea Candle, and once again going up and down the stairs, they returned to Uomi-tei.

その先の階段を降りていくと…、

As they descend the stairs beyond that…

「稚児が淵」！

Chigogafuchi！

本当は、この地点で１時間も予定オーバー。

In reality, they were already about an hour behind schedule at this point.

最後に、ここから江ノ島の入り口地点まで船に乗って帰る予定でした。

Their original plan was to take a boat from here back to the entrance of Enoshima at the end.

しかし、その遊覧船の最終出航が午後３時半💧

However, the last sightseeing boat departs at ３:30 p.m.

今の時刻…３時10分前💧 どうしても間に合いません。

The current time…is２:50 p.m.

There’s no way they can make it in time.

お昼の待ち時間が悔やまれます。

The long wait at lunch feels especially frustrating now.

「…で、どうやって帰るのかね？」

“…So, how exactly are we getting back？”

「え？今までの道をそのまま引き返しますよ？」

“Huh？ We just retrace our steps and go back the way we came.”

「…だ、だって、すごい階段降りて、この岩場まで来たじゃん！

まさか、またこの階段を登って帰る気か？」

“…W-what？ We climbed down all those stairs and came all the way to this rocky shore, didn’t we?!

You’re not seriously planning to go back up all those stairs again, are you?!”

「…トーゼンです！」

“…Of course we are！”

「５６す気かぁ～？」

“Are you trying to kill me?!”

今まででも結構な道のりだったのに、またあの地獄を登らなくてはいけないアルバートさん。

Up until now it had already been quite a long journey, and now Albert had to climb back up That same ‘hellish’ path once again.

さすがに、本音が漏れてしまいました💧

Even he couldn’t help letting his true feelings slip💧

「まぁ、後のことは忘れて…今は次の観光を楽しみましょ♪」

“Well, let’s forget about what comes after…and just enjoy the next sightseeing spot♪”

(どうせ、G‐ウィルスで身体を強化されてるんだし)

(Besides, he’s been enhanced with the G-Virus anyway.)

「もう、この際ゆっくり行こう。…ゆっくり」

“At this point, let’s just take it slow…very slow”

(次のアトラクション？💧で脚の回復に努めるのだ💦)

(And recover my legs before the next ‘attraction’…💦)

疲労知らずのレオンを「岩屋橋」でパチリ

(Hmm…youth is wonderful. I’d love to experiment on him♪)

「…！殺気‼」

“…！ I sense killing intent!!”

「岩屋橋」から更に下に行くと、岩場に出れます。

From Iwaya Bridge, if you go further down, they can reach the rocky shore.

「東映」って文字が飛び出しそう…💧

It almost feels like the word ‘TOEI’ is about to pop out…💧

そして、「岩屋橋」の終点には…、

And at the end of Iwaya Bridge…

「江の島岩屋」に到着♪

They arrive at Enoshima Iwaya♪

さぁ～、洞窟探検の始まりだ～

Alrightー let the cave exploration begin

外と違って、中はヒンヤリ

Unlike outside, it’s cool and refreshing inside

↑右側：湧き水中央に、

↑On the right: at the center of the spring water,

与謝野晶子の歌碑が建っています。

there stands a monument inscribed with poem by Akiko Yosano.

そして、この岩屋は富士山の氷穴に繋がっている…といわれているそうです。

It is said that this Iwaya cave is connected to the ice caves of Mt. Fuji…

…ロマンがありますねぇ♪

…It really adds a sense of romance♪

そして、ここからが洞窟探検をより盛り上げるアイテム。

And from here on, here are the items that make the cave exploration even more exciting.

１人１人に、この風情あるろうそくが手渡されました♪

Each person was given one of these atmospheric candles♪

「テンションMAX♪」

“I’m at maximum hype♪”

「………MAX💧？」 (ボソッ)

“…Maximum…？💧” (muttering)

(iPhoneの画像だと明るく写ってしまいますが、)本当はもっと薄暗くて、ろうそくの明かりなしでは進めない所が多々あります。

(On iPhone photos it ends up looking brighter, but…) In reality, it’s much dimmer, and there are many areas where you can’t proceed without the light of a candle.

「オラ、わっくわくしてきたぞ～♪」

“I’m getting really excited now♪”

「は？」

“Huh?!”

しばらく、洞窟を進むと分岐点が！

After progressing through the cave for a while, they reach a fork in the path！

「さっきも聞いたてっ！」

“I’ve already heard that before!!”

「…？さっきから、なに、声を荒げてんの？アルバートさん⁉」

“…Huh？ Why have you been raising your voice this whole time, Albert？”

「…べ、別に💦」

“…N-no reason…💦”

左側の行き止まりに到着。

They arrive at a dead and on the left side.

行き止まりといっても、まだ先に進めそう。

Even though it’s a dead end, it still looks like you might be able to go further.

でも、一般観光客はここまで。

However, this is as far as general visitors are allowed.

「な…なんだ💦 もっと進めるのかと思った。」

“W-what💦…I thought we could go even further.

「この先を進めば、本当に富士山に通じてるかもね？」

“If we went beyond here, maybe it really does connect to Mt. Fuji？”

分岐点まで戻る通路。

天井が低くて、洞窟の雫が時々降ってきます💧

「………。」(スタスタスタスタ…💦)

“……” (stomp stomp stomp…)

(ん？なぜ無言で速足⁉)

(Huh？ Why is he suddenly walking so fast without saying anything?!)

続いて、分岐点の右側へ。

Next, they head to the right side of the fork.

お賽銭は投げ入れられないようなので、そのまましっかり拝んできました

It seems they can’t throw in offerings here, so they simply offered their prayers respectfully

とても神秘的

It feels very mystical

そして、その帰り道…。

And on the way back…

「………。」(スタスタスタスタ…💦)

“……” (stomp stomp stomp)

(また、無言で早歩き？)

(There he goes again…walking fast in total silence？)

「………。」(スタスタスタスタ…💦)

“……” (stomp stomp stomp…💦)

(どうしたんだ？ …あ、…まさか？)

(What’s wrong with him？…Ah！ Don’t tell me?!)

洞窟から戻ると、眩しい太陽光と明るい岩場が見えてきました。

When they emerged from the cave, bright sunlight and a dazzling rocky shore came into view.

「…楽しかったな♪」

“…That was Fun♪”

「噓つけ～い！

ワレ、さっき暗がりが怖くて、声を荒げたり、無言で速足になっとったんちゃうんかいっ？」

“Don’t Lie！

Weren’t you freaking out in the dark earlier, raising your voice and then suddenly walking super-fast in silence？”

「ふぅ～海風が清々しいな～♪」

“Phew… The sea breeze feels refreshing～♪”

「聞こえてないフリすんな！…でも、次行くところもまた暗がりですよ？」

“Don’t pretend you didn’t hear me！

…But the next place we’re heading to is dark again, you know？”

「………！」

そして、半ば強引に「第二岩屋」へ。

And so, they half-forced their way into the Second Iwaya.

「ここも薄暗そうですね♪」(悪レオン)

“Looks like it’s pretty dim here too♪” (mischievous Leon)

「…そ、そうだな💦！」

“…Y-yeah, it does💦！”

しかし、中は幻想的なイルミネーションで照らされていました

However, inside was illuminated with fantastical lighting

「…ホッ」

“…Phew”

そして、最深部。

And then, the deepest part.

洞窟探検の最後に待っていたのは…？

What awaited them at the end of the cave exploration…？

「ふむふむ…。手を叩けば良いんだな？」

” Hmm, I see…

So, I just need to crap my hands, right？”

巨大な龍の像の前に立つレオン。

Standing before a giant dragon statue,

１礼してから、お賽銭を投げ入れ、大きく柏手を打つと…、

Leon bows once, tosses in an offering, and then claps his hands loudly…

ギャオォォ～ッ‼

Gyaooohhh～♪

龍神様が大きく嘶(いなな)きました！

The Dragon God let out a mighty roar！

さすが、古くから龍神信仰の地として栄えた聖地

As expected of a sacred place that has long flourished as a site of dragon worship

ここでもパワーがもらえそうですね♪

It feels like you can gain power here as well♪

(暗がりにビビっている💧)アルバートさんもしっかり参拝しました。

(Though still scared of the dark💧,) Albert also made sure to offer his prayers properly.

「違うのだ！ビビッてないのだ‼ サングラスのせいで暗がりが苦手なだけなのだ！」

“That’s not it！ I’m not scared!!

It’s just that these sunglasses make it hard to see in the dark！”

「…だったら、外せば良いじゃん💧」

“…Then just take them off💧”

「…！…ト、トレードマークなので、外せないのだ！」

“…！ I-it’s my trademark, so I can’t take them off!!”

「…はい、はい。次行きますよ～、今度は暗くないので安心してくださ～い♪」

“…Yeah, yeah. Let’s move on－ don’t worry, the next place isn’t dark♪”

「全然、信じてくれないのだ…💧」

“He doesn’t believe me at all…💧”

再び、「岩屋橋」を渡ると、頭上には「魚見亭」のテラス席が見えました。

Crossing Iwaya Bridge once again, they could see the terrace seats of Uomi-tei above them.

(さっきは優雅にあの席から下を見下ろしてたのに…💧)

(Just a while ago, we were leisurely looking down from those seats…💧)

空には、トンビがくるりと輪を描いています💧

In the sky, a black kite circles gracefully💧

(あの高さまでの階段を一気に登らなきゃならないなんて💦)

(And now we have to climb all those stairs up to that height in one go…💦)

さすがに、このまま、あの階段を登るのは酷なので岩場で小休憩。

As expected, it would be too harsh to climb those stairs just like this, so they take a short break on the rocky shore.

魚を獲るためか、ウミウ(？)がひょっこり、海面から顔を覗かせていました。

Perhaps hunting for fish, a cormorant suddenly popped its head up from the surface of the water.

「さて、そろそろ行きますか？」

“Alright, shall we get going soon？”

「…あ、あぁ💦」

“…Y-yeah💦”

But somehow…We made it back to Uomi-tei…wheeze…”

(…運動不足)

(…Out of shape)

そして、ここから島中央までの階段アップダウン💧

And from here, more up-and-down stairs toward the center of the island💧

脚ガクガクで、なんとか「辺津宮」まで戻って来た２人。

With their legs shaking, the two somehow made it back to Hetsunomiya Shrine.

最後に「江の島弁財天仲見世通り」まで怒涛の階段下り‼ 無事に下山出来ました💧

Finally, a rapid descent down the stairs to Enoshima Benzaiten Nakamise Street💧

そんな疲れた身体に、

For their exhausted bodies,

湘南ゴールドソフトクリーム♪

Shonan Gold soft-serve ice cream♪

「濃厚で酸っぱいけど、とても食べやすい！」

“It’s rich and tangy, but really easy to eat！”

まさに、ここでしか食べれない１品です♪

It’s truly something you can only enjoy here♪

そして、江ノ島に来たら、絶対外せない！

And if you come to Enoshima, this in an absolute must！

タコ丸ごと１匹使った「タコせんべい」♪

‘Tako Senbei,’ made using a whole octopus♪

「焼き立てサクサクで香ばしい♡」

“Freshly grilled, crispy, and wonderfully savory♡”

相模湾といえば「しらす」！「しらすコロッケ」も堪能しました♪

When you think of Sagami Bay, you think of whitebait！

＆「美味～♡」

“Delicious～♡”

やっぱり、美味しい食べ物って、人を１番喜ばせますね！

After all, nothing makes people happier than great food！

今日１日、江ノ島を満喫したレオンとアルバートさん♪

Leon and Albert spent the whole day fully enjoying Enoshima♪

すっかり陽も西に傾き、江ノ島とお別れする時間が迫ってきました。

The sun has already begun to set in the west, and it’s almost time to say goodbye to Enoshima.

今回、紹介できなかった「新・江ノ島水族館」には後日行こうと思います。

They plan to visit the New Enoshima Aquarium, which they couldn’t cover this time, on another day.

「…。」

「…なんで、サンセットって、こんなに物悲しくなるのだろう？」

“…Why is it that sunsets always make you feel a little sad？”

「…さぁな？」

“…Who knows？”

「…アルバートさん…。」

“…Albert.”

夕日に照らされたレオンの顔がアルバートさんを見つめました。

Bathed in the glow of the setting sun, Leon looked over at Albert.

「…なんだね？」

“…What is it？”

レオンの顔がやけにキラキラと眩しい…。

Leon’s face somehow seems dazzlingly radiant…

「…また、アルバートさんと一緒に…〈江ノ島〉に…来たいな…。」

“…I’d like to come back to Enoshima again…with you, Albert.”

ズキューン 「レオン‼」

“Thump Leon!!”

＆「………。」

無言で見つめ合う２人。

The two gaze at each other in silence.

…💧

……💦

………

「や、やっぱり別の人と来ます💦！」

“O-on second thought, I’ll come with someone else💦！”

「…だな💦！」

“…Yeah, probably💦！”

こんな２人でもロマンチックになってしまう湘南…💧

Even these two can’t help but get a little romantic in Shonan…💧

危ない雰囲気になる前に、恋の魔法は解けたようです。

It seems the magic of love wore off just before things got awkward.

片瀬江ノ島駅まで戻ってきた２人。

The two made their way back to Katase-Enoshima Station.

このロマンスカーに乗って「新宿」に帰ります。

They take this Romance-car back to Shinjuku.

「新宿」までのロマンスカー内では、さっきの気まずい雰囲気はなく、バイオの裏話や今後の展開で盛り上がった２人なのでした～♪

During the ride, the awkward atmosphere from earlier is gone, and the two of them end up chatting excitedly about behind-the-scenes stories of Resident Evil and what’s to come♪
