Thank you very much for always visiting Raccoon City Hall.

今回、始まる新企画は「レオンの小旅行記」です！

This time, we’re kicking off a new series: Leon’s Short Travel Journal！

レオンがいろんなゲストと観光地を回り、ただただ遊ぶというこの企画💧

In this project, Leon visits various tourist spots with different guests and simply enjoys himself along the way💧

前回のレオンと親友・アークの修学旅行記が好評だったため、その続編がまたやりたい！と思い、今回、新たなカタチで開催することが出来ました♪

Since Leon and his best friend Ark’s previous school trip journal was so well received, I wanted to do a sequelー and now we’ve been able to bring it back in a new form♪

なんと！第１回のゲストは…パワプロ「栄冠ナインで」約２年間、Raccoon高校野球部の名監督を演じてくれた…アルバート・ウェスカーさんです💧

What a surprise！

The very first guest is…Albert Wesker, who spent about two years portraying the renowned head coach of Raccoon High School’s baseball team in Powerful Pro Baseball: Eikan Nine💧

ゲーム「バイオハザード」の世界でも直接会ったこともなく、思想も相反する２人が、神奈川県藤沢市にある江ノ島で巻き起こす珍道中💧

These two－ who have never even met in the world of Resident Evil and hold completely opposing beliefs∺ are about to embark on a wild and unusual adventure on Enoshima, located in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture💧

果たして、無事に楽しく「江ノ島」を満喫できるのでしょうか？

Will they be able to safely and happily enjoy everything Enoshima has to offer？

キャライメージと全く異なる場面が多々あると思いますが、

どうか、ゆる～く優しい気持ちでお楽しみくださいませ～♪

There may be plenty of moments that differ greatly from their usual character images, but please sit back, relax, and enjoy it with a warm and open mind♪

レオン・S・ケネディ…このブログの主役。

言わずと知れたバイオハザード２・RE２・バイオハザード４・RE４でお馴染みのイケメン主人公♪

この旅のMC的な役割。

今回のゲスト…アルバートさんを上手にエスコートできるのでしょうか💦？

Leon S. Kennedy－ The main star of this blog.

The handsome, iconic protagonist well known from Resident Evil ２, RE２, Resident Evil ４, and RE４♪

He takes on the role of Mc for this trip.

Will he be able to skillfully escort this episode’s guest…Albert？💦

アルバート・ウェスカー…誰もが知っている…バイオハザードの初代悪役。

今回、「栄冠ナイン」でこのブログに貢献してくれたことを称え、軽～い気持ちで、

「アルバートさん、何処か行きたいところはな～い？」と聞いたら、

「江ノ島～♡」と嬉しそうに答えてくれたので、この企画が決まりました。

Albert Weskerー the original villain of Resident Evil, known to everyone.

In recognition of his contributions to this blog through Eikan Nine, I casually asked,

“Albert, is there anywhere you’d like to go？”

ーand he happily replied,

“Enoshima～♡,” which is how this project came to be.

それでは、早速…楽しいIfの世界の小旅行がスタート♪

And now, without further ado, our fun little trip in this IF world begins♪

何で、貴様と片瀬江ノ島駅で待ち合わせせにゃあならんのだ？」

“………💧

Why the hell do I have to meet you at Katase-Enoshima Station？”

「…それは、こっちのセリフだ！」

“…That’s my line！”

小田急線終点・片瀬江ノ島駅の改札口前で睨み合う２人💧

The two glare at each other in front of the ticket gates at Katase-Enoshima Station, the final stop on the Odakyu Line💧

桜も散った４月某日。

One day in April, after the cherry blossoms had already fallen.

約２年間続いた「栄冠ナイン」の連載が終了し、頑張ってくれたアルバートさんを労おうと、アルバートさんが希望した江ノ島で観光してもらうことになりました♪

With the long-running Eikan Nine seriesー spanning about two years－ finally coming to an end, we decided to treat Albert to a well-deserved break by taking him sightseeing in Enoshima, his destination of choice♪

もちろん、司会進行は…「ラクーンシティホール」の主役・レオン・Ｓ・ケネディです♪

And of course, guiding the tour as MC is the star of Raccoon City Hall, Leon S. Kennedy♪

(…！しまった‼

バイオのゲーム内のイメージ通りに、アルバートさんに接してしまった💦

あくまでもアレは、この〈ラクーンシティホール〉では、演じている設定。

ここは普通にゲストとしてお迎えしなくては！)

(…！ Damn it!!

I ended up treating Albert just like in the Resident Evil games💦

But that’s only a role he’s playing here at Raccoon City Hall.

I need to treat him properlyー as a guest！)

未だに渋い表情でレオンを睨みつけているアルバートさん。

Albert is still glaring at Leon with a stern expression.

快晴の江ノ島に、気まずい雰囲気が漂う…。

An awkward tension hangs in the air over the sunny Enoshima…

「え～…ゴホン」

“Ahem…cough”

「…と、いうことでね♪ 始まりました！〈レオンの小旅行記〉～♪

今回は江ノ島にやってきました～♡」

“…And with that♪ Here we go！

This time, we’ve come to Enoshima～♡”

「江ノ島まで掛かる〈弁天橋〉から見える三浦半島が美しいですね♪

今回も〈京都旅行〉の時のように天気は快晴で～す」

“The view of the Miura Peninsula from Benten Bridge leading to Enoshima is beautiful♪

Just like our Kyoto trip, the weather is perfectly clear again today”

「なんと、今回のゲストは…この〈ラクーンシティホール〉では、お馴染みの「栄冠ナイン」で名監督を演じてくれた…アルバート・ウェスカーさんで～す♪」

“And our guest this time is…the one you all know well here at Raccoon City Hallー the brilliant coach from Eikan Nine, Albert Wesker♪”

ゲストとして呼んでいるのに、あんなこと言っちゃったから、マジで怒らせちゃったかな💦？)

I invited him as a guest, and after saying something like that…did I seriously piss him off？💦)

「ど～も～♪

Raccoon高校野球部を何度も甲子園優勝に導いた…アルバートで～す

今日はとても楽しみにしていたんで、よろしく～！」

“Hellooo～♪

I’m Albertー the one who led Raccoon High’s Baseball team to multiple Koshien championships！

I’ve been really looking forward to today, so let’s have a great time!!”

(ノリかっる💧 しかも満面の笑み💦 でも、思ってたより話しやすそうで良かった～💦)

(Wow, he’s surprisingly upbeat💧 And that huge smile💦

Still, he seems easier to talk to than I expected－ what a relief💦)

「…何か？」

“…Something wrong？”

「…いえいえ💦 ちょっとイメージと違うから戸惑っちゃって…。」

“…N-no, not at all💦

You’re just a bit different from what I imagined, so it threw me off～.”

「…普段の私はこうだが？」

“…This is how I usually am.”

「…そ、そうなんですか💦？」

“…I-is that so？💦”

「…💧 いいから早く進行したまえ…。」

“…💧 Enoughー just move things along.”

「…わ、分かりました💦！そんなこんなで喋ってたら、…江ノ島に着きましたよ♪」

“…R-right, got it💦！

Anyway, while we were chatting…we’ve arrived at Enoshima♪”

江ノ島の玄関口といえば…この「青銅の鳥居」！

The gateway to Enoshima is…this bronze torii gate！

多くの観光客を出迎えてくれます。

It warmly welcomes countless visitors.

それをくぐると…「江ノ島弁財天仲見世通り」へ♪

Passing through it…they’ll arrive at Enoshima Benzaiten Nakamise Street♪

平日なのに、今日も観光客でいっぱい💦

Even though it’s a weekday, it’s packed with tourists again today💦

↑こんなお店や、江ノ島名物のお土産屋さん、ちょっと摘まめる美味しいものを売っている飲食店が立ち並んでいます。

↑They’ll find shops like these lined up, along with souvenir stores selling Enoshima specialties and eateries offering tasty bites they can grab on the go.

そして、有名な老舗の旅館の前に、こんなカラフルな暖簾が掛かっていました。

And in front of well-known long-established ryokan, there were these colorful Noren curtains hanging.

ちょうど、この頃…江ノ島では「国際アート展」が島中で開催されていました。

It just so happened that around this time, an International Art Exhibition was being held all across Enoshima.

なので、各店にあんな暖簾や↑こんな垂れ幕が飾られているようです♪

That’s why famous shops had decorations like those Noren curtains and banners like the ones above on display♪

「まずは、食事や買い物！…というより、江ノ島神社でお参りですよね♪」

“First things first－ rather than food or shopping, we should visit Enoshima Shrine♪”

「そうだな♪」

“Indeed♪”

仲見世通りを抜けると…見えてきました！

After passing through Nakamise Street, there it is！

「日本三大弁財天江ノ島神社」の大きな赤い鳥居が♪

「ゲゲッ💦 すごい階段…。これを登らないといけないのか？」

“Ugh💦

That’s a lot of stairs…Do we really have to climb all that？”

「何言ってんですか💧

あなたも一応、S.T.A.R.S.でしょ？

しかも、アルファチームの隊長だし…。

こんなくらいの階段…自力で登りましょうよ～💧」

“What are you talking about？💧

You’re a member of S.T.A.R.S., aren’t you ？

And the captain of the Alpha Team, no less…

It’s just a set of stairsー Let’s climb it ourselves💧”

「キミぃ～、ゲストを疲れさせる気かね💦？」

” Hey now, are you trying to wear your guest out？💦”

「一応、〈エスカー〉という、エスカレーターみたいなもので上に登れるんですが………我々は使用禁止ということで！」

“There is something like an escalator called the ‘Escar’ that can take you up…but for us, it’s off-limits！”

「…なぜだ？なぜ、禁止なのだ⁉」

“…Why？ Why is it off-limits？”

「そのままの自然を楽しむ醍醐味もあるし…、

アルバートさん…監督業を引退してから、どうせ運動不足でしょ？

自分の脚で登りましょ？登りましょ♪」

“Part of the charm is enjoying nature as it is…and besides, Albert, now that you’ve retired from coaching, you’re probably out of shape anyway, right？

Let’s climb it with our own legs－ come on, let’s go♪

「…まぁ、そうだな」

“Well…I suppose so”

(自力で行くしかないか💧 こんな若造にナメられたくないし…)

(Guess I have no choice but to do this myself💧

No way I’m letting some youngster look down on me…💧)

渋々、階段を登り始めました💧

Reluctantly, he began climbing the stairs💧

すると、↑「江ノ島神社全景絵地図」がチラリ。

Then, a glimpse of ↑the ‘Enoshima Shrine Panoramic Map’ caught their eyes.

(え～っ頂上まで、険しそうじゃん！

階段、何段登らないといけないんだ～💦？)

(What?!

That climb to the top looks brutal！

How many steps do I have to climb…？💦)

自力で登ることに、だいぶ後悔したアルバートさんなのでした💦

It was at that moment that Albert seriously began to regret choosing to go on foot 💦

階段を登ると、すぐに「瑞心門」が見えてきます。

As they climb the stairs, the Zuishinmon Gate soon comes into view.

入口から左側。

To the left of the entrance.

入口から右側。

To the right of the entrance.

門の中の左右には、唐獅子が描かれています。

On both sides inside the gate, there are paintings of Chinese guardian lions.

「瑞心門」を抜けると、江ノ島神社に祀られている「三宮の御案内」看板があり、

After passing through the Zuishinmon Gate, they’ll find a sign introducing the tree shrines enshrined at Enoshima Shrine.

正面には、江ノ島神社といえば…弁財天様が祀られています。

And straight aheadー speaking of Enoshima Shrine－ Benzaiten is enshrined there.

弁財天様は、芸能の神様で有名ですね♪

Benzaiten is famous as the goddess of the arts♪

それと、七福神唯一の女性の神様なので、恋愛＆縁結び、なんと…美肌の願いまで成就してくれるそうです💦

She’s also the only female deity among the Seven Lucky Gods, so she’s said to grant blessings for love and relationships…and even for beautiful skin 💦

(江ノ島神社の弁財天様だけなのかは定かではありません)

(Not sure if that applies only to the Benzaiten at Enoshima Shrine.)

そこから、さらに100段くらい階段を登ると…、

From there, after climbing about another 100 steps…

やっと、手水舎が見えてきました！

At last, the purification fountain (temizusha) comes into view！

レオンとアルバートさんも手順通りに身を清めます。

Leon and Albert also cleanse themselves there according to the proper ritual.

「外国人観光客が多いからでしょうか？

ほとんど英訳がついているので、分かりやすくて助かりますね♪」

“Maybe because there are so many foreign tourists？

Most of the signs have English translations, which makes things easy to understand♪”

「…確かにな。」

“…True enough.”

自分で使った柄杓の柄にも水を掛け、元に戻し…いよいよ辺津宮(へつのみや)へ！

Pour water over the handle of the ladle they used, return it, and then it’s finally on to Hetsunomiya！

さらに、50段ほど階段を登ります💦

Another 50 or so steps to climb 💦

辺津宮に到着～♪

They’ve arrived at Hetsunomiya♪

早速、お参りしてきてから、２人で記念撮影

After offering our prayers, the two of us took a commemorative photo

…それにしても、江ノ島だからってアルバートさんのシャツの柄よ…💧

…By the way, just because it’s Enoshima Shrine, what’s with the pattern on Albert’s shirt…💧

「…へ、変かね💧？」

“…I-is it strange？💧”

「…いえいえ、楽しそうで何より…」

” …N-no, not at all！

I’m just glad you’re enjoying yourself♪”

(ウェスカー…こんな一面があるんだ…ニヤニヤ)

(So Wesker has a side like this too…smirk)

「…‼」 (…江ノ島だからマリーン柄。ちょっと、はしゃぎ過ぎちゃったかな💦？)

(…Since it’s Enoshima, I went with a marine-themed shirt.

Maybe I got a little too carried away？💦)

まだここでは、ソメイヨシノが最後の花吹雪を舞わせていました

Here, the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms were still scattering their final flurry of petals

そしてここで…、おみくじタ～イム♪

And now, it’s omikuji time♪

たくさんあるおみくじの中で、そのまま「江ノ島」を名乗る「江ノ島みくじ」を選択！

Among the many fortunes slips available, they chose the one boldly named “Enoshima Omikuji”！

ここでしか引けないものの方がご利益ありそうですもんね♪

“It feels like something they can only get here would bring even better lick, right？♪

それに七福神の縁起物マスコットもついてるので即決です。

Plus, it comes with a lucky Seven Gods charm mascot, so it was an easy choice.

さぁ、２人はどんな運勢かな～？

Now then－ what kind of fortunes will the two of them get？

上：レオン…37番吉(龍)

Top: Leon…No.37－ Good Luck (Dragon)

下：アルバートさん…17番吉(天女)

Bottom: Albert…No.17ー Good luck (Heavenly Maiden)

２人仲良く(💧？)吉でした～♪

Both of them got “Good Luck” together💧

(さすが、初代悪役！)

(As expected of the original villain！)

(さすが、バイオ２の主人公！)

(As expected of the protagonist of Resident Evil ２！)

＆(やりよるのぅ～💧)

(Not bad at all 💧)

…と、やっぱり、おみくじを勝負事にしてしまう２人なのでした…💧

And as expected, the two of them ended up turning even the omikuji into a competition 💧

今回は引き分け…ということで。

So, this time, it’s a draw.

そして、辺津宮の名物…、

And now－ Hetsunomiya’s specialty…

龍神様～が見守る「銭洗い弁天」！

Zeniarai Benzaiten, watched over by the Dragon God！

この水でお金を清めると、金運に恵まれるということです♪

It’s said that cleansing their money with this water will bring you financial lick♪

早速、意気揚々とお賽銭を投げ入れ、ざるにお金を入れて洗う２人。

Wasting no time, the two eagerly toss in their offerings, place their money in to a basket, and begin washing it.

「…ま、万券💦？」

“…A ten-thousand-yen bill？💦”

「別にいいだろうが！」

“What’s the problem with that?!”

「銭だから、小銭の方が…？」

“Since it’s ‘Zeni,’ wouldn’t coins be more…appropriate？”

「いいのだ！世の中金なのだ‼

何十倍にも何百倍にもなって帰って来て欲しいのだ～♪」

“It doesn’t matter！

In this world, it’s all about money!!

I want it to come back to me tenfoldー no, a hundredfold～♪”

「………まぁ、そうだけど💧」

“…Well, you’re not wrong 💧”

サラサラと、流れる水で清めました。

It was cleansed in the gently flowing water.

「…お札は、全面に濡らさないで、角にちょこっと水を掛けるだけで良いみたいですよ💧？」

“…For bills, it seems you shouldn’t soak the whole things－ just sprinkle a little water on the corner 💧？

「な～💦 そうなのか！ザッブザブに掛けちゃった…。」

“Whatー really？

I completely drenched mine…

「でも、この方がご利益ありそうだもんな～♪」

But this way feels like it’ll bring more luck～♪”

濡れたお札と500円玉は、お互いハンドタオルに優しく包んで、大事に持ち帰りました。

They carefully wrapped the wet bills and 500-yen coins in hand towels and took them with them.

続いて、奉安殿へ♪

Next, on to the Hōanden ♪

拝観料を納めました。

They paid the admission fee.

内部は残念ながら、撮影禁止です。

Unfortunately, photography is not allowed inside.

その途中にあった「願立ての白い巳さま」に挑戦♪

On the way, they tried their hand at the ‘White Snake of Wish-Making’ ♪

「か…漢字一文字～💧？」 (日本語分からん…。)

“A…single kanji character？ 💧”

(I don’t understand Japanese…)

「あ、↑の表の例に書いてある文字以外でも良いみたいですよ？」

“Ah, it seems you can also choose characters other than the ones listed in the examples above？”

「う～ん」 (仕方ない。分からないから、この表の中から選ぶとするか…。)

“Hmm…”

(Well, I guess I have no choice.

Since I don’t understand it, I’ll pick from the list…)

２人は思い思いの漢字を書いて、奉安殿の内部に納めてきました♪

The two of them each wrote a kanji of their choosing and placed it inside the Hōanden♪

何を書い…？

What did they wri…？

＆「言う訳ないだろ⁉」

“Like we’d tell you, idiot!?”

食い気味に返答された～！

That was an instant, sharp response ！

京都の時みたいにハシャがないんですね？

Not as energetic as they were during the Kyoto trip, huh？

すっかり冷めている大人のアルバートさんが同行相手だからでしょうか💦？

Maybe it’s because their travel companion is the cool, composed adult Albert 💦？

そして、奉安殿の次はこちら！

And next, after the Hōanden, is this！

八坂神社♪

Yasaka Shrine♪

この名前を聞くと、やっぱり京都旅行を思い出しますね♪

Hearing this name really brings back memories of the Kyoto trip♪

しっかり、↑前の人のお参りの順番を待ってから、丁寧にお参りさせてもらいました。

They patiently waited for the person in front of us to finish their prayer, then offered our own prayers respectfully.

そして、↑こちらが今回の御朱印。

And here is today’s goshuin.

何パターンかあるうちの…今回は「江島大明神」の御朱印にしました♪

Among several available designs, they chose the ‘Enoshima Daimyoujin’ goshuin this time♪

味があってステキですね♡

It has a beautiful, charming character to it♡

こちらが、弁財天様のお札と、レオン(左：弁財天様のお守り)・ウェスカー(右：白龍様のお守り)をそれぞれ購入。

This is the talisman of Benzaiten, along with amulets purchased by Leon

(left: Benzaiten charm)

and Wesker (right: White Dragon charm).

「……げ、芸のう…？芸能上達ぅ～⁉」

“…E-entertainment…？ Skill in the arts…？”

「いいんだ💦！そこは気にしなくて‼」

“Just leave it alone 💦！ Don’t overthink it‼”

辺津宮から見下ろした江ノ島。

入口の赤い鳥居、仲見世通り、青銅の鳥居、そして、はるか遠くに見える弁天橋が一望できます

They can take in the entire scene at onceー the red torii at the entrance, Nakamise Street, the bronze torii gate, and, far in the distance, Benten Bridge

それでも、ここは、江ノ島のほんの入口。

Even so, this is still just the entrance to Enoshima.

まだまだディープなスポットが２人を待っています。

There are still many deeper spots waiting for the two of them.

親友・アークとの京都旅行とは違って、少し大人びて落ち着いた小旅行になりそうですね♪

Unlike the Kyoto trip with his best friend Ark, this time it looks like a slightly more mature and calmer little journey♪
