皆さん、こんにちは～♪
Hello, everyone！
今回もスペインの村で…お宝ゲットだぜ～！
Once again, we’re in a village in Spain…time to grab some treasure！
画面からはみ出る程のデッカイ村長に戦いを挑み、逆に返り討ちに合ってしまったレオン…。
Leon challenged the gigantic village chiefー so huge he practically burst off the screen－ but ended up getting completely wrecked instead…
ここで初めて会ったまとも(？💧)な人間…ルイス・セラと仲良く捕まってしまいます。
And so, alongside the first seemingly normal (💧？) person he’s met here…Luis Serra, Leon ends up getting captured too.
そして、その時に首筋に変な注射をされ、身体に「プラーガ」という寄生虫の種を植えられてしまいます。
And during that time, they injected something strange into the back of his neck, planting the seed of a parasite called ‘Plaga’ inside his body.
首注射…痛そう😓
A needle in the neck…that looks painful😓
それを指示した、このゲームのラスボス…オズムンド・サドラーの姿が！
There he is－ the final boss of this game…Osmund Saddler！
「レタス・ギブユー・泡パワー！」(空耳) (Misheard lyric)
「Let us give you our power. 」←本当はこう言ってます。まぁ、空耳のままに聞こえますね😅
↑This is what he’s actually saying.
…Though honestly, it really does sound like the misheard version😅
その数時間後…、ある小屋で目を覚ましたレオン。
A few hours later…Leon wakes up in a certain cabin.
ルイスと共に後ろ手で拘束されています。
He and Luis are tied up together with their hands bound behind their backs.
ここら辺のレオンの表情と仕草がめちゃくちゃ可愛い💕
Leon’s expressions and little gestures around here are ridiculously cute💕
目覚めたルイスとこれまでの経緯を話すレオン。
Leon explains everything that’s happened so far to the now-awake Luis Serra.
今ミッションの目的…アシュリーの行方を尋ねてみる。
Leon asks about Ashley’s whereabouts－ the whole objective of his current mission.
ルイス「見たことないな…。」
“Never seen her before…”
…って、写真…何処からどうやって出したの、レオン💦？
…Wait…Leon, where the heck did you even pull that photo out from💦？
ルイス「その娘を誰だか当ててやろうか？」
“Want me to guess who that girl is？”
レオン「…分かるのか？」
“…You can tell？”
ルイス「超能力…」
“Psychic powers…”
この会話のやり取りとレオンのルイスを見るいかがわしげな表情が好き💕
I love this whole exchangeー and the suspicious look Leon gives Luis Serra💕
はい、きました！ ルイスの自己紹介…ハンサムなプー!!
And here it is！
Luis’s self-introduction…’ballistics’ and ‘Mr. Handsome’ time!!
ルイスの素性は元マドリッドの警官だったみたいだが…果たして本当？
It seems Luis used to be a police officer in Madrid…but is that really the truth？
その言葉を受けて、レオンも思い出したくない過去をルイスに語り出します。
Hearing that, Leon starts opening up to Luis Serra about a past he’d rather forget.
…！
しかし、ゆっくり語ることも、この村では許してくれません。
But this village won’t even allow them a moment to talk in peace.
一番最初に会った第一村人である「頑固親父」が、やられた復讐をするために斧でレオンたちに襲い掛かります！
The stubborn old man－ the very first villager Leon encountered－ comes charging at them with an axe, looking to get revenge for what happened before！
ここで、QTE！
QTE time！
「頑固親父」の振りかざした斧で、上手く拘束された腕輪を切り落とせました。
Using the axe swung by the stubborn old man, they somehow manage to neatly cut off the restraints binding their wrists.
(…そんな、上手くいく～？ 普通だったら腕ごと切り落とされちゃいそう…💦)
(…Would that really work out so perfectly？
Normally, it feels like they’d lose their whole arms instead…💦)
それでも襲ってくる「頑固親父」を足で「ぬ～ん！
」
Even then, the stubborn old man keeps attackingー so Leon goes, ‘Nnngh！’ and kicks him away with all his might.
壁にぶち当たった「頑固親父」の首が変な方向に曲がり、二度と動かなくなってしまいました💧
The old man slams into the wall, his neck twisting at a very unnatural angle…and he never moves again💧
そのどさくさにまぎれて、ルイスは逃亡…。
In the middle of all that chaos, Luis Serra makes his escape…
(薄情なヤっちゃな～💧)とレオンは心の中で思うのでした。
(‘What a cold-hearted guy…💧’) Leon couldn’t help thinking to himself.
久々にハニガンに連絡。
It’s been a while, but Leon finally gets back in touch with Ingrid Hunnigan.
ルイスからの情報で、教会に向かうことになりました。
Based on the information from Luis Serra, he decides to head for the church.
はぁ～、またあの恐ろしい村に行かなきゃいけないのか～💧…などとレオンは愚痴を言いません。
Ugh…I have to go back to that terrifying village again…💧
…Of course, Leon doesn’t actually complain like that.
とにかく、この小屋から出よう…そう思った時に…、
For now, he just wants to get out of this cabin…and the moment he thinks that…
な、なに？
W-What now？
いかがわしい男が…これまたいかがわしい笑い声で「こっちへ来い」と誘ってくるではありませんか！
Some shady-looking guy is beckoning Leon over with an equally shady laugh, going, ‘Come over here…！”
外へ出て、その男の所へ行くと、いろいろと取引してくれる(バイオ４の癒し✨)武器商人登場！
Once Leon steps outside and approaches the man, in comes the Merchant－ the resident source of comfort in Resident Evil４✨
ーready to buy, sell, and tread all kinds of things！
「青色コイン」のミッション…ちゃんとこなしてますよ♪
I’m properly clearing the Blue Medallion mission too, you know♪
まずは拾ったお宝の売却から！
First things firstー time to sell off the treasure I picked up！
「真珠のペンダント」…やっぱり10,000ペセタ✨
The ’Pearl Pendant’…just as expected, it sells for 10,000 pesetas✨
高値取引だと声のトーンが上がる、武器商人…可愛い💕
I love how the Merchant’s voice gets all excited whenever it’s a high-priced deal…so cute💕
ちりも積もれば山となる…スピネル♪
Every little bit adds up…one Spinel at a time♪
お宝を売り払ったら、最初に買うのは…やっぱりアタッシュケースでしょ！
After selling off all the treasure, the first thing to buy is…obviously the Attache Case！
宝の地図は全て網羅しているので、買いません。
As for the treasure maps, I’m skipping those since I already know where everything is.
そして、遠くの敵にはこれ１本！
And for enemies in the distance, this is the one weapon you absolutely need！
ライフルは欠かせません‼
A rifle is indispensable!!
…いつもスコープを買うのですが、無くても結構遠くまで狙えることを知ったのでやめておきます。
I usually buy the scope too, but I realized you can actually aim surprisingly far even without it, so I’ll pass this time.
あくまでセミオートライフルの繋ぎ武器なので…。
After all, this rifle is just a temporary weapon until I get the semi-auto rifle…
(でも、普通のライフルの次弾装填アクションは格好良くて好き♡)
(That said, I still love the bolt-action reload animation on the regular rifleー it looks so cool♡)
余ったお金で持っている武器の強化！
With the money I had left over, I upgraded the weapons I’m carrying！
私は大体…威力・装弾数重視で上げます。(これはそれぞれお好みで！)
I usually prioritize firepower and ammo capacity when upgrading.
(Though this really comes down to personal preference！)
そして、ここでご注目！
And now, pay attention here！
これは私の勝手なやり方ですが…、初期装備のハンドガンは全く改造しません‼
This is just my own personal way of playing, but…I never upgrade the starting handgun at all.
「青色コイン」ミッションで、すぐに「改造パニッシャー」が手に入るからです。
That’s because you can get the ‘Punisher’ with upgrades from the Blue Medallion mission pretty early on.
どうせ、すぐ売っ払うもの…その分、他の武器の改造にお金を回せます。
Since the starter handgun’s just going to get sold off anyway, I’d rather spend that money upgrading my other weapons instead.
そして、旧作バイオをやっている癖が染みついているからか…救急スプレーは使うのに躊躇してしまい貯まってしまいます。
And maybe it’s because old-school Resident Evil habits are burned into me, but I always hesitate to use First Aid Sprays, so they just keep piling up.
(使うとクリア評価が下がるとか…ありましたよね💧？)
(There used to be games where using them lowered your end-of-game rank…right💧？)
このままだと、アタッシュケースの肥やしになってしまうので、売っちゃいます！
At this rate, they’re just going to sit there taking up space in the Attache Case, so I’m selling them off！
(個人的なことなので参考にしなくても良いですよ✋💦)
(That’s just my personal playstyle though, so no need to follow my example✋💦)
武器商人との癒しの時間が終わったら、建物の裏側の樽２つ(１つは必ずレッドハーブ)を取ることもお忘れなく！
Once your relaxing shopping session with the Merchant is over, don’t forget to grab the two barrels behind the building tooー one of them always contains a Red Herb！
そして、ここからは大量村人との戦いなので、アタッシュケース整理と体力調整！
And from here on out, it’s nonstop battles against huge groups of villagers, so it’s time to organize the Attache Case and manage my health！
(途中の物投げ村人の攻撃で、ちょいちょい体力を削られるので…小回復の「卵」は重宝しますよね♪)
(Those villagers throwing stuff at you along the way always chip away at your HP little by little…so small healing items like eggs really come in handy♪)
うわ～、砦にもわんさか村人がいるわ～💧
Uwaaah…the fortress is absolutely crawling with villager too💧
これからのレオン歓迎パーティーの出席者…多数ですね😓
Looks like there’ll be a whole lot of guests attending Leon’s ‘welcome party’ from here on out😓
ここは、さっき買ったばかりのライフルで、村人に気付かれずに人数を減らしましょ♪
Here, let’s use that rifle we just bought to quietly thin out the villagers before they notice us♪
孤独なレオン…ヘッショ(ヘッドショット)祭り🎇のはじまりだ～！
Lonely Leon…let the headshot festival begin～🎇！
取り敢えず、ライフルで狙える村人を(見える範囲で)全員倒したら砦の中に入ります。
For now, once I’ve taken out every villager I can see with the rifle, I head inside the fortress.
すると何処からかまた、わんさか村人がレオンを歓迎しに来てくれます💧
And then, from seemingly out of nowhere…a whole new swarm of villagers comes rushing in to ‘welcome’ Leon again💧
ダイナマイトを持った村人も現れるので、最初の怒涛のウエーブはこの場所で対処しましょう。
Villagers carrying dynamite start showing up too, so it’s best to deal with the first overwhelming wave from this spot.
ダイナマイトで同士討ちもしてくれるので、便利です♪
The dynamite can even make the villagers blow each other up, so it actually works in your favor♪
ある程度攻撃がおさまったら、坂を駆け上がり、砦から脱出するための鍵…「割れた紋章」(左)をゲット！
Once the assault dies down a bit, dash up the slope and grab the ‘Broken Emblem’ (Left), which you’ll need to escape the fortress！
すぐさま、また村人たちが襲ってくるので、爆破オブジェクトを使ったり、手榴弾などで蹴散らしながら、来た坂を降りましょう‼
But the villagers immediately come swarming in again, so use the explosive objects around the area and grenades to blow them away while making your way back down the slope‼
そして、村人を倒しつつ、もう１つの「割れた紋章」(右)をゲット！
And while taking down more villagers, grab the other ‘Broken Emblem’ (Right)！
ここまでくれば戦闘曲が止み、村人全員殲滅することが出来てるはずです。
By the time you get this far, the battle music should stop, meaning you’ve probably wiped out every last villager in the area.
これからはゆっくりアイテムゲットタイム♪
From here on, it’s nice and relaxing item-collecting time♪
建物の中のロッカーにある「イエローハーブ」。
The Yellow Herb inside the locker in the building.
これをゲットするまで、回復を我慢するのがバイオ通！
A true Resident Evil ４ veteran holds off on healing until grabbing this first！
「割れた紋章」を組み合わせて、「六角形の紋章」の出来上がり。
Combine the broken pieces together, and you’ve got yourself the ‘Hexagonal Emblem.’
砦出口の扉に装着！ 鍵が開きました。
Attach it to the door at the fortress exit－ and the lock opens！
…レオン、瞬間接着剤でも持ってきているのかな💧？
…Leon seriously carrying around super glue or something💧？
そして、扉を出ると、また静けさが…。
And the moment you step through the door…silence once again.
バイオ４はこの静と動のバランスが絶妙で、この後の展開をドキドキさせる効果には絶大でした✨
Resident Evil ４ absolutely nailed the balance between quiet tension and explosive action, and it made whatever came next feel incredibly suspenseful✨
建物周辺の樽を壊し、早速内部に侵入。
After smashing the barrels around the building, I head inside right away.
あ！ あの光輝く仮面のようなものは…お宝だ‼
Ah！ That shiny mark-like thing over there…it’s treasure‼
でも、この部屋からは取れないようです💧
But it looks like there’s no way to grab it from this room💧
次に進むには、この窓から飛び出さなければいけないみたい…。
To move forward, it looks like Leon has no choice but to jump out through this window…
ここで、突然…ドキドキ２択クイ～ズ！
And suddenly－ time for a heart-pounding two-choice quiz！
【問題】右、左…どちらの窓から出るのが正解でしょうか？
【Question】Which window is the correct choiceー the right one or the left one？
…チッ、チッ、チッ、チッ、チッ、チッ、チッ、チッ、チッ、チーン！⌛
…Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick…ding！
正解は…
And the correct answer is…
バリ～ン！
CRAAASH！
右の窓でした～‼
It was the window on the right～!!
左だとこのコンテナの前に出てしまい、向こう岸にいる村人のダイナマイトを喰らう可能性があります。
If you go left, you’ll end up right in front on this container, which means there’s a chance you’ll get blasted by the dynamite thrown by the villagers on the other side.
右から出て、こうやってしゃがんで村人のダイナマイトの爆風を避けるのです。
So, the safer option is to jump out from the right window and crouch here like this to avoid the explosion from the dynamite.
そして、空かさずこちらも手榴弾を装備し、タイミングを計って向こう岸に投げてやると、面倒臭いダイナマイト投擲村人を一掃できます♪
And without missing a beat, equip a grenade on your side too.
If you time it right and toss it across to the other side, you can wipe out those annoying dynamite－ throwing villagers all at once♪
(この武器装備チェンジのたびに、レオンの構えが変わるのがまた格好良い💕)
(And every time you switch weapons, Leon’s stance changes tooー that always looks so cool💕)
途中のトラバサミをナイフで解除しつつ、焼却炉のスピネル・ハンドガンの弾を忘れずに取り、奥の部屋に進みます。
While disabling the bear traps along the way with the knife, and handgun ammo from the incinerator before heading into the room farther ahead.
まだ、遠くからおじさんの声がするな…💧 襲われる前に倒しちゃいましょう！
…I can still hear that old guy’s voice from somewhere in the distance💧
Let’s take him out before he gets the jump on us！
壁に打ち付けられた板が！
There’s a wooden board nailed to the wall！
ナイフで壊してみると、さっき見えた仮面がある部屋に入れるようになります。
Break it with the knife, and you’ll be able to enter the room where we saw that mask earlier.
怪しい💧「仮面」ゲット！ …これも単体で売るより宝石を埋め込むような穴があるので、すぐに売らずに取っておきましょう。
Got the suspicious looking mark！
…And rather than selling it right away, hang onto it for now since it has slots where you can inlay gemstones, making it worth more later.
そして、また途中にいた「鍬おじさん」を転ばせて、ナイフで処理。
And then I knock down another hoe-wielding old guy along the way and finish him off with the knife.
下に伸びた梯子が見えるので降りてみます。
I spot a ladder extending downward below, so let’s climb down and take a look.
あ、とうとう来ました♪
Oh, here it is at last♪
バイオ４名物…射撃釣り堀🐟！
Resident Evil ４’s famous shooting range…the fishing-style shooting gallery🐟！
ここでの釣りは「釣り竿」なんて使いません！
There’s no fishing rod used for fishing here！
釣道具は…ハンドガンです💧
Your fishing gear is a handgun💧
さぁ、撃って撃って撃ちまくれ～！
Alrightー shoot, shoot, and shoot like crazy～！
ブラックバス、ゲット～！
Black bass, Caught～！
ランカーバス、ゲット～‼
Lunker bass, caught～!!
すっかり生臭いアタッシュケースになりました😅
My attache case has turned into a full-on fishy mess😅
でも本当は…ゲームキューブ版・PS2版では「閃光手榴弾」１発で全部のお魚ゲットできたのですよ…💧
But back in the Game Cube and PS２ versions, you could actually get all the fish in one go with a single flash grenade…💧
お魚もバージョンアップして強くなったのかな💦？
Maybe the fish got an upgrade and became tougher over time💦？
梯子を登って外へ。
Climb up the ladder and head back outside.
すぐ横にある井戸でお宝「黄銅の懐中時計」をゲット♪
Right next to you, at the well, you can pick up the treasure: the ‘Brass Pocket Watch’♪
アタッシュケース内の閃光手榴弾が余っているので、(可哀想ですが)カラスを攻撃。
With some flash grenades left over in the attache case, I go ahead and (unfortunately) attack the crows.
…だって、お金欲しいんだも～ん💧
…Hey, I need the money, don’t I 💧？
建物に入って、階段を上がると変なものがついた扉が！
Inside the building, I go upstairs and find a strange door covered in some kind of mechanism！
ちょい謎解きですね。
A little puzzle time here.
上・左…の順番に動かすと、あの「ロスイルミナドス教団」のマークになりました。
By moving them in the order up → left…it forms the symbol of the Los Illuminados cult.
すると、なんと自動ドア！
Then－ an automatic door！
こんなさびれた村に似つかわしくない代物です💧
A piece of technology that feels completely out of place in this rundown village💧
机やタンス・ベッドからアイテムを取り、次の扉へ。
After grabbing items from the desk, drawers, and bed, I move on to the next door.
すると、扉の向こうからスペイン語の話し声が…。
Then I hear Spanish voices coming from the other side of the door…
どうやら、村人がいるみたい💦
Looks like villagers are about to come in💦
…そっと、扉を開け、廊下に出ると、
…So, I quietly open the door and step out into the hallway…
イタタタタ…！
Owー hey－ stop it！
後ろからいきなり村長に首根っこを掴まれてしまいました！
The village chief suddenly grabs Leon by the neck from behind！
苦しい！ やめちくれ～💦‼
It’s hard to breathe！ Let me goー💦!!
すると、レオンの目が真っ赤に！
Then Leon’s eyes suddenly turn bright red！
それを確かめるようにレオンを見た後、村長はレオンを床に叩きつけました。
After staring at Leon as if confirming something, the village chief slams him down onto the floor.
村長がいなくなった後、自分を殺さずに放置したことと、「同じ血が混じった」という謎の言葉を残した村長に疑問を持ったレオン。
After the village chief leaves, Leon is left wondering why he ief meant by those cryptic words about ‘sharing the same blood.’
自分の身に良くないことが起こっている…と感じたようです。
He seems to sense that something bad is happening to his body…

少し操作も慣れてきたので、命中率もちょっと持ち直しました。
I’ve started getting used to the controls a bit, so my accuracy has improved slightly too.
