Hello, everyone～♪

約３か月ぶりに、メトロシティにやってきた…レオンです♡

It’s been about three months, but I’m finally back in Metro City… It’s me, Leon! ♡

またまた、この街に戻ってくることができて嬉しいぜ♪

I’m really happy to be back in this city again! ♪

もちろん、今回も「新たな師匠が現れた」という情報をキャッチ！

And of course, I’ve caught wind of some news that “a new master has appeared”!

早速、変なポーズで自撮りなんかしてないで、調査に向かおう💦

Instead of wasting time taking selfies in weird poses, I’d better get out there and investigate! 💦

…といっても、新師匠の手がかりは全くなし💧

…That said, I don’t have a single clue about who this new master might be. 💧

とにかく、メトロシティをブラつくとしようか♪(いつものように…観光目的のようなお気楽さ💧)

Well, I guess I’ll just wander around Metro City and see what I can find! ♪ (As usual, I’m taking it easy, almost like I’m here on a sightseeing trip. 💧)

まずは、オレのメトロシティの原点…オレのアジト💧(というか拠点)に戻ってみよう。

First, let’s head back to the place where my Metro City adventures began… my hideout. 💧 (Or rather, my base of operations.)

すると、壁に貼り紙が！

And what do I find? A notice posted on the wall!

レオン「誰だ？勝手にこんな張り紙をしたヤツは⁉」

Leon: “Who the heck put this notice up without asking me?! ”

３か月以上放置してるんだから、こんなことされても仕方ない💧

Well, I haven’t been here for over three months, so I suppose I can’t really complain. 💧

プンスカしながら、その張り紙を剝がそうとすると、ある言葉がレオンの目に飛び込んできました。

Grumbling angrily, I was about to tear the notice down when a certain phrase caught my eye.

「Knock Out Festival」なるものが、ここメトロシティで開催される…。

Apparently, something called the “Knock Out Festival” is being held right here in Metro City…

上位入賞者には近日オープンの「パオパオカフェ６号店」のオープニングイベントに招待されるそうだ。

The winners will receive invitations to the opening event of the soon-to-open “Pao Pao Café No. 6”!

レオン「…パ、パオパオカフェ💦？？？」

Leon: “…P-Pao Pao Café?! 💦”

…噂によると、そのイベントにゲストとして招待されている人物…それが今回の新師匠の可能性があるみたい。

According to rumors, the person invited as a special guest to this event might actually be my new master!

なんだかよく分からないけど、気になるし…取り敢えず、心に留めておこう！

I don’t quite understand what’s going on, but it sounds interesting… so I’ll keep that in mind for now!

そして、久しぶりに拠点に入ると見慣れない項目が！

And when I finally entered my base after such a long time, I noticed a new menu option!

「OTHER DAYS」

…今後、新たなイベントが追加されると、ここから目的地に一挙に飛べるらしい。

Apparently, whenever new events are added in the future, this feature will let me jump straight to their destinations!

レオン「なんて、便利な機能なんだ♪」

Leon: “What an incredibly convenient feature! ♪”

早速、その機能を使ってみる。

Naturally, I decided to try it out right away.

「Knock Out Festival 」開催会場のビートスクエアに一瞬でGO！

And off I went, straight to Beat Square, the venue for the “Knock Out Festival”!

すると…、移動中…。

And then… during the transition…

こ、これは！懐かしのネオ・ジオCDのロード画面‼

W-Wait! Is this… the nostalgic NEO GEO CD loading screen?!

それに加えて、「Knock Out Festival 」…略すとK.O.F…！

And on top of that, “Knock Out Festival” can be abbreviated as K.O.F…!

まさか、今回の新師匠は…‼

Could it be that this time’s new master is…?!

見慣れたビートスクエアが「Knock Out Festival 」一色

Beat Square, a place I know so well, was now completely transformed for the “Knock Out Festival”!

そこに見慣れた懐かしい顔…アリス(別名・ピンクのアラレちゃん💧)が案内役で参加中♪

And there was a familiar face from the good old days… Alice (a.k.a. Pink Arale-chan 💧), who was helping out as a festival guide! ♪

指示通り、フェス参加者に配られる帽子を被っちゃいます♪

Following her instructions, I put on the cap given to all festival participants♪

とっても似合って格好良い～♡

It looks really good on me, doesn’t it? I’m pretty cool! ♡

ルールは、同じ参加キャップを被っている３人に勝てば入賞！

The rules are simple: defeat three people wearing the same event cap, and you’ll qualify as a winner!

パオパオカフェ行きチケットをGETするため…ミッションスタート！

To get my ticket to Pao Pao Café… Mission Start!

すると…、

And then…

そのすぐ近くにいる帽子を被っているチャド発見！

I spotted Chad, wearing the event cap, right nearby!

まずは１人目‼(第１村人ならぬ第１犠牲者💧)

My first opponent! (Or should I say, my first victim? 💧)

３か月ぶりの路上バトルでも、レオンなら何の心配もない💦

Even after three months away from street fights, there’s no reason for me to worry! 💦

やっぱりの…１人目撃破

Just as expected… Opponent No. 1 defeated!

レオン「ミッションのためとはいえ、悪かったな♪ はい、次～！」

Leon: “Sorry about that, but it was all for the mission! ♪ Okay, who’s next?!”

すぐに２人目を探すレオン。

I immediately started looking for my second opponent.

この辺の無情さには、もう慣れっこです💧

I’ve gotten quite used to this ruthless side of myself by now. 💧

帽子を被っている２人組を発見！

And there they were… two people wearing the same caps!

話掛けると２対１の変則バトルに‼

When I approached them, it turned into an unusual two-against-one battle!

相手が２人でも余裕のレオン。

Even against two opponents, I had no trouble handling things.

あっさり撃破

Another easy victory!

レオン「はい、はい♪ 次、次～♫」

Leon: “All right, all right! Next, next～! ♫”

最後の対戦相手を探す。

Now I had to find my final opponent.

同じ帽子を被っているロンを発見！

I spotted Ron, who was also wearing the same cap!

早速、バトル開始！

Time to fight!

これで勝てば「パオパオカフェ」チケットに１歩近づく♪

Winning this one would bring me one step closer to getting that Pao Pao Café ticket! ♪

レオン(「パオパオカフェ」とやらが何か、よく分かってないが…💧)

Leon (Although, to be honest, I still don’t really know what this “Pao Pao Café” thing is… 💧)

３人目も楽勝で撃破

And just like that, I easily defeated my third opponent!

カメラが引いてる途中、黒人さんと金髪さんが殴りあっているシーン…。

During the camera pullback, there’s a scene showing a Black man and a blond man exchanging punches…

これはストリートファイター２のオープニングのオマージュですね♪

This is an homage to the opening sequence of Street Fighter II! ♪

…なかなか芸が細かい

They really paid attention to the little details!

すると…、

And then…

見知らぬ男がタクシーで現れ…言葉を交わす前に拳が反応してバトルに発展💦

A mysterious man arrived in a taxi… and before we could even exchange a word, our fists started talking, and a battle broke out! 💦

(ものすっごい太い腕💧)

(Those arms of his are unbelievably thick! 💧)

軽く遊ばれてしまうレオン💧

I got toyed with pretty easily. 💧

激強なレオンにこんな扱いが出来てしまうこの男…

Who on earth could treat someone as strong as me like that…?

まさか！あの‼ …K.O.F.⁉…今回の「Knock Out Festival 」のことじゃあないよ💧

Wait! Could it be… THAT man?! …K.O.F.?!

No, I’m not talking about this “Knock Out Festival”! 💧

KING of FIGHTERSにも登場している餓狼伝説のテリーさん⁉

Could it be Terry, from Fatal Fury, who also appears in THE KING OF FIGHTERS?!

今回の新師匠は、なんとこのテリーさんのようです！格好良い～

It looks like this time’s new master is none other than Terry himself! How cool is that?!

去り際のウィンクもイケてる～♡

Even his wink as he walks away is so stylish! ♡

取り敢えず、３勝したので一度アリスの元へ。

Anyway, since I’d won three matches, I decided to head back to Alice.

その途中で、久しぶりにダムドさんに会う♪

On the way, I ran into Damnd for the first time in ages♪

相変わらず、イカつくて元気そうでした💦

He still looked as intimidating and energetic as ever! 💦

せっかくなので、↑記念撮影しときました～

Since I had the chance, I took a commemorative photo with him!

一応、ダムドの手下たちも一緒にポーズ💦

Even Damnd’s henchmen joined us for the pose! 💦

レオン「アリス～、なんとかミッション、やり遂げたぞ～♪」

Leon: “Alice～! I managed to complete the mission somehow! ♪”

レオン「ブランクなんて、なんのその！」(テリーさんに軽く弄ばれたけど💧)

Leon: “A little time away from fighting is nothing to worry about!” (Even though Terry completely toyed with me… 💧)

レオン「展開が早くて助かるぜ♪」

Leon: “I’m glad things moved along so quickly! ♪”

レオン、見事に入賞 チケットGET!!

And just like that, Leon successfully qualified as a winner! TICKET ACQUIRED!!

レオン「いや～、ハハハハハ💦」頭カキカキ(照れ笑い)

Leon: “Well～ Ahahahaha! 💦” (Scratching my head with an embarrassed grin.)

しかし、他の入賞者２人を見てみると…、まさかのマッドギア代表のダムドさん！

But when I looked at the other two winners…

Would you believe it? One of them was Damnd, representing the Mad Gear Gang!

そして、マッドギアと敵対している組織・カラス団のルドラさん‼

And the other was Rudra, from the Crows, an organization hostile to Mad Gear! ‼

レオン「オレを含め、選ばれたのは…またイロモノばっかじゃあねぇ～か💦‼」

Leon: “Out of everyone who got selected, including me… why are they all such oddballs?! 💦‼”

…こんな大会…ちょっと、変わっている人(💧)しか入賞できないでしょうね💧

I guess this is the kind of tournament where only people with a few screws loose can qualify. 💧

ある意味、変な圧もあるし…。

In a way, there’s also a rather intimidating atmosphere about it…

レオン「まぁ、オレもどうせ真っ当な生活が出来ない人間ですよ…💧

Leon: “Well, I suppose I’m not exactly someone who can live a normal life, either… 💧

それは、あの〈ラクーン事件〉で運命が決定づけられてしまった。

My fate was sealed by that Raccoon Incident a long time ago.

…ここは変わり者と言われようと、ポジティブに生きてくしかないじゃないか」

…Even if people call me a weirdo, I guess I just have to stay positive and enjoy life! ”

すっかり、愚痴モードのレオン💧

Leon has completely slipped into complaint mode. 💧

Still, the mission is complete!

It’s time to head straight to Pao Pao Café No. 6!

入店すると、もうバトルしている人が‼

When I entered, I found people already fighting inside!

レオン「あ！さっきの‼」

Leon: “Oh! It’s that guy from earlier!!”

人気者のテリーさん♪

It’s the popular Terry♪

テリーと対戦したい人たちが集まり…(この人たちとしては珍しく)拳を交わすことなく話し合い💧

A bunch of people who wanted to challenge Terry had gathered there…

And, quite unusually for this crowd, they actually tried to talk things out instead of immediately throwing punches. 💧

でもやっぱり、３‐３のチーム戦に発展。

But, as expected, things eventually turned into a three-on-three team battle.

レオンチームと、テリーファンチーム💧の団体勝ち抜き戦となりました。

It became a team elimination match between my team and the Terry Fan Team. 💧

勝った方がテリーさんと、この後戦えるというルール💧

The winning team would earn the right to fight Terry afterward.

先鋒はダムドさん💧

First up for my team was Damnd. 💧

相手チームはアンドーさん。

His opponent was Ando.

ダムドさん、見事勝利 １人抜き！

Damnd won the match! One opponent eliminated!

スコア１-０♪

The score was 1–0! ♪

２試合目も続けてダムドさん💧

Damnd stayed on for the second match, too. 💧

相手チームはマリリンさん。

This time, his opponent was Marilyn.

しかし、マリリンさんに敗れるダムドさん。

But Damnd lost to Marilyn!

もっと、強い人だと思っていたのに～💧

I thought he was supposed to be stronger than that～! 💧

これで１-１💦

Now the score was 1–1! 💦

３試合目…レオンチームは中堅のルドラさん。

For the third match, my team’s middle fighter was Rudra.

ルドラさん見事勝利マリリンさんを退ける♪

Rudra won beautifully, defeating Marilyn!

２-１でリード♪

We’re now leading 2–1! ♪

４試合目…相手チームは大将のジョージさん。

For the fourth match, the opposing team’s final fighter, George, stepped into the ring.

ルドラさん、惜しいところまで行きましたが負けてしまう💧

Rudra put up a good fight and came close, but unfortunately, he lost. 💧

これで２-２の同点💦

The score was now tied at 2–2! 💦

最終戦…真打ち・レオン登場 …こうなる展開は、読めていた？

…In the end, everything comes down to fighting.

These people really do love throwing punches, don’t they? 💧

しかし、今度はダムドさん、ルドラさんとのケンカが始まる💧

But then, Damnd and Rudra started arguing and fighting with each other! 💧

元々、いがみ合っている２人。

Those two have been enemies from the very beginning.

結局、レオンチーム３人の総当たり戦となってしまう💧

And before I knew it, the three members of my team were fighting in a round-robin tournament! 💧

さっきの友情はどこへやら？

Whatever happened to that little thing called friendship?!

レオン「メトロシティ代表としては、この２人に負けられない！」

Leon: “As the representative of Metro City, I can’t afford to lose to either of these two!”

まずは、ダムドさん VS ルドラさん！

First up: Damnd VS. Rudra!

マッドギア VS カラス団 FIGHT！

Mad Gear VS. Crows! FIGHT!

まさかのルドラさんの勝ち！

And, unbelievably, Rudra wins!

レオン「あれ～？ダ、ダムドさぁ～ん！思ってたんのんとちゃう～💦」

Leon: “Huh?! D-Damnd ! Seriously?! That’s not how I thought it would go～! 💦”

休むことなく、レオンと戦うルドラさん。

Without even taking a break, Rudra immediately challenged me.

ルドラさんと久しぶりのバトル。

It had been a while since I’d fought Rudra.

メトロシティ代表決定戦以来の対戦…強くなってるかも💦？

Our last match was during the Metro City representative selection tournament… Maybe he’s gotten stronger since then? 💦

…と思ったら、レオンあっさり勝～利〜

…Or so I thought, but Leon won easily!

総当たり戦なので、最後はダムドさんと対戦！

Since this was a round-robin tournament, my final opponent was Damnd!

ダムドさんも、スクラップ工場の出来事以来の対戦！

I hadn’t fought him since that incident at the scrap yard!

思った通りのレオンの２勝で圧勝

Just as I expected, I won both matches and claimed a decisive victory!

２人に認めてもらいました。

And so, both of them finally acknowledged my strength.

レオン「…って、これからのオレの戦い、見ていかないのかよ～！」

Leon: “…Hey! Aren’t you two going to stick around and watch my upcoming fight?! ”

そして、やっとテリーさんと対戦出来る！と思ったのですが…、テリーさんの気遣いで対戦は後日となりました。

And finally, I thought I’d get to fight Terry!

But thanks to Terry’s consideration, our match was postponed until another day.

でも、弟子入りはOK♪

Still, he agreed to take me on as his student! ♪

レオン「それまで、テリー師匠スタイルを極めて、テリー師匠との絆を深めよう♪」

Leon: “Until then, I’ll master Master Terry’s fighting style and deepen my bond with him! ♪”

そして、テリー師匠との絆が深まり、

Eventually, my bond with Master Terry grew stronger…

やっと、対戦できる日がやってきた♪

And the day finally arrived when I could challenge him!

前回(ベガ師匠)、前々回(豪鬼師匠)たちに鍛えられ、レベルもだいぶ上がっているので、もしかして、いきなりの対戦で勝てるかも♪？

Having trained under Master Vega (last time) and Master Akuma (the time before that), my level had increased quite a bit.

Maybe I could actually beat Terry right from the start! ♪

With consecutive K.O.s, I claimed an easy VICTORY!

My bond with my master had grown even stronger, so we struck a cool pose for a commemorative photo!

When I first arrived in Metro City, I was wearing the “Headband of the Mighty”…

「K.O.F.イベントキャップ」をもらってからはそれを被り続ける♪

But ever since I received the “K.O.F. Event Cap”, I’ve been wearing that instead! ♪

警護用インカム・シャドルーソルジャーのスーツ・ボトム・ブーツの一式・警官の腕時計。

A security earpiece, a complete Shadaloo Soldier uniform (jacket, pants, and boots), and a police officer’s wristwatch.

…まるで、地球防衛軍の隊員が着てそうなコーディネートになりました💧

The whole combination ended up looking like something worn by a member of the Earth Defense Force! 💧

レオン「こんなコスプレするから、オレもイロモノって言われちゃうんだろうな💦」

今回は、いろいろな人たちと戦いに戦って勝ち取ったミッションだったけど、なんとかテリー師匠に弟子入り出来たぜ♪

This time, I had to fight all sorts of people and win match after match to complete the mission, but somehow, I finally managed to become Master Terry’s student! ♪

久々に、会えた友人たち(💧？)とのバトルも楽しかった♫

It was also fun getting to fight some old friends (💧?) I hadn’t seen in ages!

そして、テリー師匠…。格好良かったな～

And Master Terry… Man, he was so cool!

オレも師匠にあやかって、髪を伸ばしてみようかな？

Maybe I should grow my hair out like his?

…いやいや、これ以上、任務に支障がある髪型はやめよう…💧

…No, no. I don’t need a hairstyle that’s going to interfere with my missions any more than it already does. 💧

今回はメトロシティ内だけの出来事だったけど、またこの街の新たな顔が見れて良かったぜ♪

Although this time’s adventure took place entirely within Metro City, I’m glad I got to discover another side of this town!

…短い滞在時間でも、お土産もいっぱい買えたし…充実できた！

…And even though my stay was short, I managed to buy plenty of souvenirs, too. It was a very fulfilling trip!
