このメトロシティの高層ビルから、ライトアップされた自由の女神とキレイな夜景がよく見える…。

From this skyscraper in Metro City, I can get a great view of the illuminated Statue of Liberty and the beautiful nighttime scenery…

まるで、自由の女神の側に宝石をちりばめたみたいだ

It’s as if someone sprinkled jewels all around the Statue of Liberty!

ちょっと、今夜はリッチで大人なひと時が過ごせそう…(ウットリ)

Looks like I’m in for a sophisticated, luxurious evening… (sighs dreamily )

…って、こっち側に陸なんてあったっけ💦？

…Wait, has there always been land on this side of the island? 💦

(確かリバティ島から、こっちの方角は海が広がっていたような…💧？)

(If I remember correctly, there should be nothing but ocean in this direction from Liberty Island…💧)

Well, good evening, everyone!

そんな疑問も抱きつつ、ちょっとロマンチックな気分に浸っている…レオンです♫

I’m Leon, soaking up the romantic atmosphere while wondering about that little geographical mystery! ♫

そういえば、オレってニューヨーク生まれ、ニューヨーク育ちって知ってる？

By the way, did you know I was born and raised in New York?

(バイオ２以後に出た、後日談的な小説の設定ではそうなっている。)

(That’s according to one of the supplementary novels released after Resident Evil 2, which tells a story set sometime later.)

懐かしいな～♪

Ahh, those were the days! ♪

ちょっと遊びに行けそうな距離だけど、今は修行の身…それは次の機会に楽しみは取っておくぜ。

New York is close enough for a little visit, but I’m currently in the middle of my training… So I’ll save that pleasure for another time.

…そんな(実際の地図には)実在しない街「メトロシティ」💧

And that brings us to the fictional city of Metro City, which doesn’t actually exist on any real-world map. 💧

この世界が架空でも、幻でも…楽しんだもの勝ちなのさ！

Even if this world is imaginary, even if it’s all an illusion… the important thing is to enjoy yourself!

オレも「アバター」として、このスト６の世界に生を受けたようなものだからな💦

After all, in a way, I was born into the world of Street Fighter 6 as an “avatar” myself! 💦

そんなメタいことを言ってしまうなんて、今日のオレは変だ…💧

Man, what’s with all this meta talk? I must be acting weird today…💧

…そう、そう！変といえば…今週はこんな変わった師匠に弟子入りしたぞ♪

…Oh, right! Speaking of weird, I became the student of some pretty unusual masters this week! ♪

まずは、その師匠に会うため、ブラジルまでひとっ飛び！

First, I hopped on a plane to Brazil to meet one of them!

そこで、遭遇した着ぐるみ珍獣！

And there I encountered a strange beast in a costume!

…ではなくて💧、ブランカ師匠‼

…No, wait, that’s not it. 💧 It was Master Blanka!!

早速、森の妖精「ブランカちゃん」着ぐるみを着て修行？

Was I about to start training in the forest spirit costume known as Blanka-chan?

…かと思いきや、森の妖精「ブランカちゃん」とブランカ師匠が同一人物であるという疑いを晴らすために、ただオレに着ぐるみを着せただけらしい。

…Nope! Apparently, Master Blanka just wanted me to wear the costume to dispel any suspicions that he and the forest spirit Blanka-chan were actually the same person.

それがバレたら、SNSで炎上する！なんて…意外と気にするタイプの師匠💦

If that secret got out, he’d be canceled on social media!

Who knew Master Blanka was the type to worry about such things? 💦

師匠のためなら、こんなことくらい…オレが何肌でも脱ぎましょう！

For my master’s sake, I’d be willing to go to these lengths… I’ll even bare some skin for him!

ちなみに、師匠の苦手なものは「軍隊アリ」だそうだ💧

Incidentally, I hear my master is afraid of army ants. 💧

I think I can finally understand why he’s known as the kindhearted warrior of the jungle. ♪

その次はインドでの出会い！

Next up was an encounter in India!

ひ、人が宙に浮いてる～！

H-Hey! That guy’s floating in midair!!

しかも、テレポーテーションまでして…！

And he can even teleport…!

手もヘビのように伸びてる～💦

His arms stretch out like snakes, too! 💦

ば…化け…もっ…！

A-A mon… mon… monster…!

…‼

どうやら、暴走した象からオレを守ってくれたようだ💦

Turns out he was protecting me from a rampaging elephant! 💦

(白目が怖いけど)見た目と違って良い人？←コラッ

(His white eyes are a little scary, but maybe he’s actually a nice guy despite his appearance?) ← Hey, don’t say that!

それがダルシム師匠との出会いだった。

And that was how I met Master Dhalsim.

インドの修行僧でヨーガの達人。

He’s an Indian ascetic and a Master of Yoga.

人々の悩みや苦しみを聞き、導き手となるべく修行を積んでいる師匠…。

He’s devoted himself to training so that he can listen to people’s troubles and suffering and guide them toward a better path…

争いは好まないが悪事を許せない性格ゆえ闘いの場で厳しさをも見せる。

He dislikes fighting, but because he can’t tolerate evil, he can show a surprisingly stern side when battle calls.

好きなものは瞑想。

His favorite thing is meditation.

だが、プレゼントで喜んでくれたのは…「極甘のレトルトカレー」!

But the gift that made him happiest was… “Extra-Sweet Ready-to-Eat Curry”!!

これまた意外…💧

Now, THAT was unexpected…💧

よ～し！いつか師匠のように、宙に浮いて、ぐにゃぐにゃな軟体動物みたいになるぞ～

All right! Someday, I’ll be able to float in midair and bend my body like a boneless sea creature, just like my master!

実はよく見ると、ダルシム師匠は宙に浮いているのではなくて、巻いている腰巻で立っているのだ！

Actually, if you look closely, Master Dhalsim isn’t floating in midair at all! He’s standing on the cloth wrapped around his waist!

まるでカンガルーが尻尾だけで身体を支えられるように…‼

Just like a kangaroo can support its body using only its tail…!!

…と、現実離れしたこの状況を頭で理解しようとこういう仮説を立ててみたが…、

どうやら、師匠単体で浮くことが出来るようだ💧

I came up with that theory to try to make sense of this completely unbelievable situation…

But apparently, my master can float all by himself. 💧

ヨーガとは、人智を越えた能力も身につくものなのか💦？

Can yoga really give you abilities that go beyond human comprehension? 💦

そして修行の成果を試す為に、メトロシティに戻り、１番大きな公園アーバンパークへ…。

And now, to put the results of my training to the test, I returned to Metro City and headed to Urban Park, the city’s largest park…

「Final Fight」でイメトレもバッチリ

My mental training with Final Fight had prepared me well!

まずは前市長「マイク・ハガー像」の前で、メトロシティ住人とお手合わせ！

First, I challenged a Metro City resident in front of the statue of former mayor Mike Haggar!

ブランカ師匠の噛みつき攻撃「ワイルドファング」からのダルシム師匠の「ヨーガフレイム」。

I started with Master Blanka’s biting attack, Wild Fang, followed by Master Dhalsim’s Yoga Flame.

最後は、マイク・ハガーの得意技「スクリュードライバー」でフィニッシュ！

And I finished him off with Mike Haggar’s signature move, the Screwdriver!

勝利のポーズはブランカ師匠の雄叫び！

For my victory pose, I let out Master Blanka’s mighty roar!

…でも、なぜかブランカ師匠はオレがブランカスタイルで戦うのを快く思ってないんだ…。

…But for some reason, Master Blanka doesn’t seem too happy about me fighting in the Blanka style.

特に「ワイルドファング」をやると、困った表情をする…どうしてだろう💧？

He looks particularly troubled whenever I use Wild Fang…

I wonder why? 💧

そして、同じくハガー像前にいた大男…アントラーさんに遭遇！

Next, I encountered a big guy named Antler, who was also hanging around in front of the Haggar statue!

ダルシム師匠スタイルで撃破！

I beat him using Master Dhalsim’s fighting style!

最後は師匠のように宙に浮いて勝利のポーズ …やっとオレも人外になることが出来ました💧

And finally, I floated in midair just like my master for my victory pose!

…At last, I’ve become a being beyond the bounds of humanity! 💧

ちなみにこのアントラーさんの口癖は「ご機嫌ですか⁉」

Incidentally, Antler’s catchphrase is “HOW ARE YOU DOING?!”

名前といい、口癖といい…なぜかオレの中の闘魂が燃える！…ボンバイエ‼

His name, his catchphrase… For some reason, they set the fighting spirit inside me ablaze!

BOM-BA-YE!!

最後はこの時期にはメチャメチャ暑苦しそうな兜のベンソンさん。

And finally, there was Benson, a big guy wearing a helmet that looked unbearably hot for this time of year.

ダルシム師匠スタイルで、見事にK.O！

Using Master Dhalsim’s fighting style, I scored a spectacular K.O.!

After the match, we congratulated each other and took a commemorative photo, each striking our signature pose!

今週もいろいろな人と出会い、戦い…そして、たくさんの経験を積むことが出来たオレ♪

This week, I met all sorts of people, fought all sorts of battles, and gained a whole lot of experience! ♪

今の修行の成果には満足せず、立派なエージェントになる為にこれからも鍛錬を怠らないぜ！

But I’m not going to settle for what I’ve achieved so far. I’ll keep training hard so that I can become a first-rate agent!

では、今週のオレのお勧めコーディネートを紹介♪

Now, let me introduce my recommended outfits for this week! ♪

まずは、SiRN社の研究衣・ピンクのビジネスシャツ・黒のテーパードパンツ・プレートゥ・青のボストンメガネ・アンブレラ社社員っぽい「研究所の白衣」コーデ。

First up, we have the “Research Lab Coat” outfit, featuring:

Black Tapered Pants
Plain-Toe Shoes
Blue Boston Glasses

This look makes me feel like an employee of Umbrella Corporation!

ちょっと、オレとしては嫌なイメージしかないけど、まぁ、こんなのもありますよ～的なコーデネート💧

Personally, Umbrella doesn’t exactly bring back pleasant memories, but hey, I figured I’d show you this outfit as one possible combination. 💧

この白衣が血で汚れてなかったのが唯一の救いだ。

The one saving grace is that the lab coat isn’t stained with blood.

(バイオ界では白衣といえば、血しぶきがついているものだから💧)

(In the Resident Evil universe, lab coats practically come with blood splatters as standard equipment! 💧)

続いては、青の「キョンシーセット」。

Next up is the blue “Jiangshi Set”!

そのセットにピンクのニーハイストライプ・黒のペニーローファーを合わせてみたぞ！

I paired it with pink striped thigh-high socks and black penny loafers!

キョンシーといえば、中国のお化け…というよりゾンビ。

When you think of a jiangshi, you probably think of a Chinese ghost… although it’s more like a zombie.

まさか、オレがこんな格好をするなんて…💧

I never thought I’d find myself dressed like this…💧

でも、オレが知っているゾンビと違って、頭にある黄色いお札で人を襲う暴走行為を抑えているのさ。

But unlike the zombies I’m familiar with, jiangshi have a yellow talisman attached to their heads that keeps them from going on a rampage and attacking people.

ラクーンシティでも、このお札が大量にあれば、あんな悲劇は防げたかもしれないな…。

If only we’d had a whole bunch of those talismans in Raccoon City… Maybe we could have prevented that tragedy.

最後は、ポーター(カンカン帽)・青の波Tシャツ・青のダメージジーンズ・赤のビーチサンダル・金の列の腕時計「真夏の波動拳…大好き」コーデ！

And finally, we have the “I Love Hadoken in the Midsummer Heat” outfit, featuring:
