(Resident Evil 4 Walkthrough Diary — Continued)

前回、クラウザーと戯れているうちに、周辺一帯が空爆を受けたようになっていて驚いている…エイダです💦

Last time, while I was busy playing around with Krauser, I was shocked to discover that the entire surrounding area looked like it had been bombed…

That’s me, Ada! 💦

あ！あれは米軍のヘリ。レオンの味方かしら…？

Oh! That’s a U.S. military helicopter. Could it be on Leon’s side…?

それなら取り敢えず、レオンは無事のようね。

If so, at least Leon seems to be safe.

ウェスカー…。こんな危険な任務…そう簡単に進められないものなのよ

Wesker… A dangerous mission like this isn’t something you can just breeze through, you know!

…でも今は、任務に忠実に従っているフリをしなきゃね。

…But for now, I have to pretend to follow my orders to the letter.

今週も「エイダ・ウォンという女」(続バイオ４攻略日記)最終回！…やっていきたいと思います。

This week, we’re finally wrapping up “Ada Wong: The Woman Behind the Mission” (Resident Evil 4 Walkthrough Diary — Continued)!

Let’s get started!

今回は入り組んだマップで攻略に時間が掛かりそう。

This time, the map is pretty complicated, so it looks like getting through it will take a while.

んふっ♪ 今回も律儀に現れてくれたわね…武器商人♫

Heh-heh♪ You’ve shown up right on schedule again, Merchant! ♫

さすがにもう、驚かす気がないらしく、ちょっと遠目の小屋の前でお待ちかね。

Apparently, you’re no longer trying to scare me. This time, you’re waiting in front of a little hut a short distance away.

早速、前回完成させた「金の聖猫像」や「ヴェルベット・ブルー」を売却。

First, I sell the Golden Lynx I completed last time, along with the Velvet Blue gems.

アタッシュケースLLと宝の地図を余裕で買えました♪

I had more than enough money to buy the XL Attaché Case and the Treasure Map! ♪

…もう、新しく買える物がないので…宝の地図まで買うという散財💧

…There’s nothing else left for me to buy, so now I’m even spending money on a Treasure Map. Talk about wasteful spending! 💧

そして、↑現在のアタッシュケース内の様子。

And here’s what the inside of my Attaché Case looks like now.

それでも、お金が80,000ペセタ以上残りました。

Even after all that shopping, I still have over 80,000 pesetas left.

これは、ウェスカーにも内緒にしときましょ♪(取っ払い)

Let’s keep that little secret from Wesker, shall we? ♪ (Cash on hand!)

Goodbye, Merchant!

…と、別れを告げ、先に進むと、すぐに弓矢のお出迎え💧

After bidding him farewell, I move on… only to be greeted by a crossbow bolt almost immediately. 💧

ライフルで即処理！

One quick shot with the rifle takes care of that!

嫌いよ～パーン！

I HATE YOU! Bang!

ふぅその他は特にいないみたいね。

Phew! Looks like there’s nobody else around.

…なんて、気を緩めたら、

…Or so I thought, just as I was letting my guard down—

ズダダダダダダ！

RATATATATATAT!

ガトリングおじさんが、何処かの大物歌手のように…高台から派手に登場‼

The Gatling gun guy makes a spectacular entrance from the high ground, just like some famous superstar making a dramatic appearance onstage! ‼

ヤダ～！ このゲームのトリはまだよ～💦？

Nooo! 💦 It’s not time for the grand finale of this game yet!

…と、いつものようにライフルでノックバックさせ、ガトリングガンを撃たせない戦法で、ガトリングおじさん…敢えなく撃沈！

…As usual, I use my rifle to knock him back and keep him from firing his Gatling gun.

And just like that, the Gatling gun guy goes down!

すぐ近くで「フックショット」の文字が出たので、高台に登ってみると、見張りの男が１人立ってました。

I spot the words “Grapple Shot” nearby, so I climb up to the high ground and find a single guard standing watch.

ハンドガン→蹴り→ナイフで対処。

A handgun shot → a kick → a knife. Problem solved.

ぅ熱っち💦

Oww, hot! 💦

その近くにある、薪が入っているドラム缶の中から「ブルーアイ」をGET！

Inside a nearby barrel filled with firewood, I find a Blue Eye!

…ちょっと火傷しちゃったじゃないの～

…Hey! I got a little burn there!

なんで、この村の人たちは宝石類を火で炙るの？

Why do the people in this village insist on heating their precious gems over a fire?!

すると、大勢の敵の空耳が四方八方から聞こえてきました。

Then I start hearing what sounds like a whole crowd of enemies all around me.

嫌いな弓矢を撃つ音もたくさんしています。

And there are plenty of those crossbow bolts I hate so much, too.

着実にエイダを撃ち抜いてくるので、高台から見える弓矢を１人１人ライフルで狙撃。

They keep landing their shots on Ada with alarming accuracy, so I pick off the crossbowmen I can see from the high ground, one by one, with my rifle.

ある程度倒したら、下に降りて、盾持ちやモーニングスターなどの敵と直接対決しました。

Once I’ve taken out enough of them, I climb down and deal with the remaining enemies up close, including shield-bearers and guys wielding morning stars.

途中からの増援で、ダイナマイト持ちや弓矢などが来るので慎重に先に進みます。

More reinforcements show up along the way, including dynamite carriers and more crossbowmen, so I proceed cautiously.

その後、中継地点のような建物に入ると…、

After that, I enter what looks like an intermediate checkpoint building…

ドカーン！

BOOM!

上から爆発ドラム缶を落とされ、今来た道に戻れなくなってしまいました。

Someone drops an exploding barrel from above, blocking the path I just came from.

次に進む扉も電子ロックされていて、エイダはこの場で立ち往生。

The door ahead is electronically locked, too, leaving Ada completely stuck here.

そんな中、上から飛び込んでエイダを襲ってくる多くの敵たち。

Meanwhile, enemies keep jumping down from above to attack me.

もう女１人でも容赦はしないみたい💧

Apparently, they’re not going to show a woman any mercy, either. 💧

プラーガ炸裂男も多く登場し…弾に余裕がなくなってきました。

Quite a few Plaga-head enemies show up, and my ammunition is starting to run low.

敵が落とす物もペセタが多いし…💧

Most of the items dropped by enemies are pesetas, too… 💧

お金が貯まってウハウハだけど…(今週もめげずに強欲)、生きて帰れなきゃ意味ないじゃん💦‼

Sure, I’m raking in the money, and I’m still as greedy as ever this week…

BUT WHAT GOOD IS MONEY IF I CAN’T GET OUT OF HERE ALIVE?! 💦‼

そのためには…弾ちょうだいよ～💦

So please… drop some ammo for me! 💦

それでも、なんとかここの戦闘を終えることができ、次への扉が開きました。

Even so, I somehow manage to finish off the enemies in this area, and the door ahead finally opens.

シュッ！

Whoosh!

その後、２カ所から弓矢が‼

Then crossbow bolts come flying at me from two different positions! ‼

毎回、毎回、新しいフィールドに行くと、嫌いな弓矢が先陣を切ってきます

Every single time I enter a new area, those crossbowmen I hate so much are the first to greet me!

ライフルで対処していた内の１人がプラーガ炸裂！

One of the crossbowmen I’ve been dealing with using my rifle suddenly has a Plaga burst out of his head!

弓矢はもう撃たない(…というか撃てないの)で、その場で頭をビュルビュルしています💧

He’s no longer shooting bolts… well, technically, he can’t shoot them anymore. Now he’s just standing there with his head writhing and spraying around! 💧

まぁ、弓矢を撃たれるよりマシなんで、もう１人の弓矢を倒すまで、そのまま放っておきましょ

Honestly, that’s still better than having him shoot at me, so I’ll leave him alone until I’ve taken care of the other crossbowman.

次の大扉の解除レバーがある場所まで滑車遊び♪

Time for a little pulley ride to the place where the release lever for the next big door is located! ♪

レオン編とは違って、ガトリングおじさんを蹴れなくて残念。

Unlike in Leon’s campaign, I’m disappointed that I can’t kick the Gatling gun guy here.

レバーを上げて解除。

I pull the lever to unlock the door.

次への大扉が開きました。

The big door ahead opens.

…と、そちらへ進む前に、

…But before heading through it—

反対側のテントが張っている方へ飛び降り、アイテム回収。

I jump down toward the tents on the opposite side and collect the items.

４カ所から３種類のハーブをGET！

I find all three types of herbs in four different spots!

テントの内の１つに敵が潜んでいるので注意！

Be careful, though! There’s an enemy hiding inside one of the tents.

不注意にテントに入ると、首を絞められます💧

If you enter carelessly, he’ll grab you by the neck. 💧

倒れた梯子を立てかけ直し、さっきの大扉まで戻ります。

I prop the fallen ladder back up and return to the big door from earlier.

すると、レオン編では機銃の嵐だったものが、エイダ編では弓矢の嵐に💦

In Leon’s campaign, this area was a storm of machine-gun fire. In Ada’s campaign, it’s a storm of crossbow bolts instead! 💦

エイダの露出した肌に、容赦なく弓矢を撃ちこんできます。

The enemies shoot their bolts mercilessly at every bit of Ada’s exposed skin.

物陰に隠れながら、１人１人ライフルで対応。

I take cover behind obstacles and pick them off one by one with my rifle.

敵の近くにある爆破ドラム缶を攻撃して、周りを巻き込むのもアリ。

You can also shoot the exploding barrels near the enemies and take out several of them at once.

なんとか、嫌いな弓矢(見えている範囲で４人)を倒しました。

At last, I manage to eliminate the crossbowmen I hate so much—all four of the ones I can see!

トンネルの先にある梯子を登り、次の大扉を開けるための解除スイッチがある２階部分へ！

I climb the ladder beyond the tunnel and head up to the second floor, where the release switch for the next big door is located.

まだいた弓矢１人を倒しつつ、解除ボタンまで進もうとすると…、

I take out one more crossbowman who’s still hanging around and start making my way toward the release button when—

ズダダダダダダ！

RATATATATATAT!

え～また、お前かぃ💦‼

Oh, COME ON! You AGAIN?! 💦‼

ここは、火薬付きボーガンで対処。

This time, I deal with him using explosive bolts from my crossbow.

ボーガンを顔に当てると火花が散って、「うぉ～」と痛がるおじさんがちょっと面白い💧

When a bolt hits him in the face, sparks fly, and the guy groans, “Ughhh!” in pain.

I have to admit, it’s kind of funny. 💧

おじさんから4,000ペセタを貰いました♪

I collect 4,000 pesetas from him! ♪

…あれ？チェンソーさんより、こんなに単価が安かったっけ💧？

…Huh? Since when were these guys worth so much less than the chainsaw guys? 💧

早速、レバーを下げます。

Anyway, I pull the lever right away.

でも、あと１カ所、解除しなければいけません。

But there’s still one more release mechanism to activate.

一旦、広場に降りて、もう１カ所の解除レバーに向かいます。

I head back down to the open area and make my way toward the other release lever.

ズダダダダダダ！

RATATATATATAT!

うっわ～💦 こっちにも出てくるんかぃっ💦

Oh, COME ON! 💦 There’s one over here, too?!

アナタも量産型だったのね～💧？

So you’re mass-produced models as well, huh? 💧

残り弾数も少ないのにやめてよ～

I’m running low on ammo already, so please give me a break!

周辺のアイテムを拾いつつ、火薬付きボーガンで対処。

I pick up the nearby items while dealing with him using my explosive-bolt crossbow.

また、ボーガンを撃ち込まれたおじさんのリアクションに「クスッ」としてしまうエイダ💧

Once again, Ada can’t help chuckling at the guy’s reaction when a crossbow bolt hits him. 💧

なんとか、次の大扉へ行けるようになりました。

At last, I can proceed to the next big door!

大扉を出ると、階段が！

I step through it and find a staircase.

ま～た、弓矢がお出迎え

And once again, a crossbowman is waiting to greet me!

いくら、エイダが隠密行動が得意でライフル上手だからって弓矢多すぎ！嫌いすぎ‼

Just because Ada is good at stealth and a skilled marksman doesn’t mean you need to throw this many crossbowmen at me!

I HATE THEM! ‼

ライフルで確実に狙撃！

I take careful aim with my rifle and shoot him down!

あとは、いないよう…えっ⁉

Looks like that’s everyone… Huh?!

崖下を眺めるロケットランチャー持ち💧

There’s a guy holding a rocket launcher, gazing down over the cliff. 💧

そんな危ないものを持って、なに黄昏れてるのかしら？

What on earth is he doing, standing there brooding with something that dangerous in his hands?

こちらに気付かれないうちに、狙撃しときましょ♪

I’d better take him out before he notices me. ♪

崖下に何があるのかしら？

I wonder what’s down below the cliff.

覗いてみると…あ！

I peer over the edge and…Oh!

さっきまで、元気に飛び回っていた米軍のヘリ。

It’s the U.S. military helicopter that was flying around so energetically just a little while ago!

ロケットランチャーで撃ち落とされちゃったのかしら？

Did it get shot down by a rocket launcher?

だから、さっきのロケラン男が覗き込んでいたのね。

That would explain why the rocket launcher guy was looking down over the edge.

レオンの安否が心配ね…。

I’m worried about Leon…

周辺の樽からアイテムを回収。

I collect the items from the nearby barrels.

も～次の扉の前にも、弓矢がいるじゃない！

Oh, COME ON! There’s another crossbowman right in front of the next door!

鬱陶しいだけなのに‼

You’re nothing but a nuisance! ‼

近くの柱から「レッドアイ」GET！

I find a Red Eye on a nearby pillar.

さて、次は何が待ち構えているのかしら？

Now, I wonder what’s waiting for me next?

すると、キレイにならんだ弾類が！

And then I find a neatly arranged pile of ammunition!

誰かからのプレゼント💧まさか、レオンから⁉

A present from someone? 💧 Could it be from Leon?!

…まぁ、貰えるものは貰っておきましょう♪(恐れを知らない強欲)

…Well, if someone’s giving me free stuff, I’m not going to turn it down. ♪ (Greed knows no fear.)

下に続く梯子があるけど、躊躇せず飛び込みます💧

There’s a ladder leading down, and I jump straight down without hesitation. 💧

梯子の裏に「火薬付きボーガンの矢」。

Behind the ladder, I find some explosive crossbow bolts.

すると…、

And then…

(↑音あり)

(↑ With sound)

突然、襲ってきたレオンの脚に細いナイフ(？)を突き刺してからの金的💦

Leon suddenly attacks me!

I stab a thin knife (or something like that) into his leg, then follow it up with a kick to the groin! 💦

(↑音あり)

(↑ With sound)

普通だったら、痛くて起き上がれないよ、レオン💧？

Under normal circumstances, that would hurt so much that you wouldn’t be able to get back up, Leon! 💧

…って、薬の錠剤のサイズが縮んでる～！

…Wait, the pills have gotten smaller!

前に見たより普通サイズになって、レオンも数錠、お水いらずで呑めました💧

They’re a much more normal size than the ones I saw before, so Leon manages to swallow several of them without even needing water. 💧

All right! I’ve given this handsome guy a little wake-up call with a kick to the groin, so I’d better hurry on to the next area.

前ほどは驚かなかったけど…こんな暗闇に武器商人💦

I’m not as startled as I was the first time, but there’s a Merchant in this dark place, too! 💦

相変わらず、無言のジト目でこちらを見てきます。

As usual, he just stares at me silently with those half-lidded eyes.

…と、その前に周辺を探索。

…But first, I’ll explore the surrounding area.

武器商人の近くにあるコンテナを調べてみると…、

I check a container near the Merchant and find…

中には、レオン編でも登場した不気味に跳ねる白い袋が💦

That creepy white sack that bounces around—the same one that appeared in Leon’s campaign! 💦

即閉め！

CLOSE IT! NOW!

よっぽど、気持ち悪かったのか？

Was it really that disgusting?

もう１度、「開ける」と指示してもエイダは開けてくれませんでした💧

Even when I selected “Open” again, Ada refused to open it. 💧

そして、また大事そうに棚に飾られている卵(白)GET！

Then I find another white egg, carefully displayed on a shelf as if it were something precious!

その他、こんなものや、

There are a few other items like this, too.

隠れ小部屋に「イエローハーブ」もありました。

And there’s a hidden little room containing a Yellow Herb!

あ～！ 宝の地図を見ると、牢屋にお宝がある～♪

Oh! According to the Treasure Map, there’s treasure in the cells! ♪

…と喜んで向かおうとすると、

I happily head over there, only to find—

デコギ！(空耳)

CLUNK! (That’s what it sounds like, anyway.)

牢屋の中に敵が詰まっていました💦

The cell is packed with enemies! 💦

詰まり過ぎて、入り口でつっかえている盾持ちもいます💧

They’re so tightly crammed together that even one of the shield-bearers is stuck in the doorway. 💧

１人ずつ順番にキレイに倒してあげました。

I take my time and neatly eliminate them one by one.

その４体はね…のちにレオンが倒すリヘナラたんっていうんだよ…エイダ。

Those four, you see… they’re the ones Leon will later meet as the Regeneradors. ♪

That’s right, Ada.

一番奥の牢屋から「グリーンアイ」GET！

I find a Green Eye in the cell at the very end.

さぁ、ここも探索終了。次へ行きましょう。

All right, that wraps up my exploration of this area. Time to move on!

エイダ式段差の登り方💧

Ada’s Unique Way of Climbing Ledges 💧

独特過ぎて、体操選手も真っ青です。

It’s so unconventional that even Olympic gymnasts would be left speechless!

うふふ♡ 私って、すごいでしょ？

Hehehe♡ Pretty impressive, huh?

扉から出ました。

I leave through the door.

この先も大変そう…なんて思っていると、

Just as I’m thinking that the next area looks like it’ll be a tough one, I see—

クラウザー！生きていたのね⁉

KRAUSER! YOU’RE STILL ALIVE?!

…一言も喋らないクラウザー💧

…Krauser doesn’t say a single word. 💧

化け物化したら、みんな言葉を喋らなくなるのは何故だろう？

Why is it that everyone stops talking when they turn into monsters?

そんなクラウザーの攻撃をQTEでかわしつつ、場所を替えつつ、死闘が繰り返され…、

I dodge Krauser’s attacks using QTEs, change positions, and continue fighting him in a series of deadly clashes…

ついに！

And finally!

ガサツな男はタイプじゃないの…。

Rough men just aren’t my type…

ガーン！

GASP!

クラウザー、物質的にも言葉的にもエイダに56される！

Krauser gets KILLED by Ada—both physically and verbally!

まさに、クラウザー２度４ぬ状態💦

Talk about dying twice over! 💦

本当の意味で息の根を止められてしまったクラウザー、憐れ💧

Poor Krauser. She really does put an end to him for good this time. 💧

エイダは、そんなこともお構いなしに、フックショットで次に進むのでした。

Without giving it another thought, Ada uses her Grapple Shot to move on.

進んだ先のすぐに「盲目の蝶のランプ」GET！

Just a little farther ahead, I find the Butterfly Lamp!

早速、全部、組み合わせて「輝く幻光蝶のランプ」完成♪

I immediately combine all the pieces and complete the Elegant Butterfly Lamp! ♪

道の角を曲がると、丁度良いところに武器商人！

As I turn the corner, the Merchant is conveniently waiting for me!

痛たたたた

Owwwwww!

クラウザー戦で私、瀕死なのよ～💦

I’m in critical condition after that fight with Krauser! 💦

残り体力、ミリよ？ミリ‼

My remaining health is practically ONE PIXEL! ONE! ‼

そして、さっき拾ったばかりの「輝く幻光蝶のランプ」即売り💧

And I immediately sell the Elegant Butterfly Lamp I just picked up. 💧

特に買うものはないので、↑これが現時点のアタッシュケース内の様子。

There’s nothing in particular I need to buy, so here’s what the inside of my Attaché Case looks like at this point.

この金額を無事に持ち帰りたいわ♡

I really hope I can get home safely with all this money! ♡

じゃあね、武器商人！

Goodbye, Merchant!

もう２度と会うことはないでしょうけど…お元気で

We probably won’t meet again but take care of yourself!

颯爽と次のステージへ向かうエイダ。

Ada dashes stylishly toward the next stage.

この狭い空間…フックショットを使って通り抜けるなんて…どうなってるの？エイダの身体は💦⁉

But seriously, how does her body even work?! 💦 壁に激突するよ、普通～💧？

She uses her Grapple Shot to zip through this narrow space… Wouldn’t a normal person just slam straight into the wall?! 💧

それでも平然と次に進むエイダ。

Yet Ada carries on as if nothing happened.

着いた先は…アシュリーが変な機械に収納されていました。

When I arrive, Ashley is being held inside some strange machine.

レオンもそこに合流。さらに、サドラーも登場して…ひと悶着💧

Leon joins her there, and then Saddler shows up, leading to another confrontation. 💧

レオンたちを先に行かせるため、エイダがサドラーと戦うことに💦

To give Leon and the others a chance to get ahead, Ada has to fight Saddler herself! 💦

サドラーは高速移動してきたり、触手で遠距離攻撃してきたり…、とにかく１撃が強力。

Saddler moves at incredible speed and attacks from a distance with his tentacles.

Every hit packs a serious punch!

QTEの表示時間も短いので避けるのも大変💦

The QTE prompts also disappear very quickly, making his attacks difficult to dodge. 💦

ある程度ダメージを与えると、口にある弱点を出すのでナイフで攻撃！

After I inflict enough damage, Saddler exposes the weak point inside his mouth, so I attack it with my knife!

それを繰り返していると…、

I repeat this process, and then…

何とかサドラーを倒すことが………出来たのか？

I finally manage to defeat Saddler…Or did I?!

エイダ、後ろ～！後ろ～💦‼

ADA, BEHIND YOU! BEHIND YOU! 💦‼

テヘッ♡ 簡単に捕まちゃった💦

Hehe♡ I got caught so easily! 💦

あとはレオン編最終回の動画の通りになってしまうのでした💧

After that, things proceed just as they do in the final episode of Leon’s campaign. 💧

アシュリーが空を飛ぶ(💧)エイダを見上げるシーンは、エイダ編でしか見れない映像。

The scene where Ashley looks up at Ada flying through the sky (💧) is something you can only see in Ada’s campaign.

レオンが必死にサドラーと戦っている！

Leon is desperately fighting Saddler!

さぁ、あのロケットランチャー特殊弾を取りに行くわよ‼

All right, time to go get that special rocket launcher ammunition! ‼

…って、なんでこのビルの柱にダイナマイト⁉

…Wait, why is there DYNAMITE attached to the pillars of this building?!

しかも、カウントダウン💦‼

And why is there a COUNTDOWN TIMER?! 💦‼

また、時間に追われるのね💦

Here we go again! Another race against time! 💦

この際、敵に構ってられないわ！

At this point, I don’t have time to bother with the enemies!

ロケラン持ちの敵も無視！

I ignore the enemies carrying rocket launchers, too!

見事、時間内に目的地に到着♪

And success! I reach my destination before time runs out! ♪

レオンにロケラン(特殊弾)を渡すことが出来ました♡

I manage to deliver the special rocket launcher ammunition to Leon! ♡

そして、その後、お察しの通り…レオンとのやり取りの後、

And afterward, just as you’d expect, I have a little exchange with Leon…

ヘリコプターに乗ったエイダは、Very Cuteなカギをレオンに渡し、無事帰還するのでした💧

Ada boards the helicopter, hands Leon a very cute little key, and makes it out safely. 💧

ちなみにエイダ編エンディングの最後の方に、島から無事脱出したレオンとアシュリーが乗っているジェットスキーの波が写ります。

Incidentally, near the end of Ada’s campaign ending, there’s a shot of the waves left behind by the jet ski carrying Leon and Ashley as they escape the island safely.
