Special Report！ Resident Evil ４ Chainsaw Demo－ More of a First Impressions Experience Than a Walkthrough♪

今回は３月24日発売の「バイオハザードRE４体験版」を攻略…というより体験したいと思います！

This time, I’ll be trying out the demo for Resident Evil ４, releasing on March 24th！

Rather than a full walkthrough, think of this more as a hands-on first impressions playthrough！

前回のオリジナル版攻略日記との相違点を見ながら、この体験版日記を読むのも面白いですよ♪

It’s also fun to read this demo diary while comparing the differences from the original version walkthrough I did before♪

見るからに、おどろおどろしいですね💧

It already looks creepy as hell just from the atmosphere alone💧

では、「MAIN STORY」スタート！

Alright then, let the main story begin！

レオン・クレア・シェリー…３人でラクーンシティから辛くも脱出してから６年…。

Six years have passed since Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Sherry Birkin barely managed to escape from Raccoon City…

あの日の惨劇を忘れられないレオン…。

Leon could never forget the horrors of that day…

その後、ラクーンシティから逃げ延びた実績を政府に買われ、

Afterward, the government took notice of his survival and escape from Raccoon City,

厳しい特殊訓練に身を投じてきた…。

He threw himself into harsh training…

全てはあの事件で救えなかった命のために…そして、その悪夢の苦しみから逃れるために…がむしゃらだった…。

All for the lives he couldn’t save in that incident…and to escape the torment of those nightmares.

He pushed himself desperately onward.

(ここのレオンの髪がファサファサし過ぎで、ちょっと面白い)

(Leon’s hair is ridiculously fluffy here, and it’s kind of hilarious.)

オリジナルとは違うけど…こちらもなかなかのイケメン♡

He looks different from the original version…but he’s still pretty handsome♡

RE2より、いろいろあって厳しい表情だけど、オリジナルより幼くなったように見えるのは私だけかな？

Compared to Resident Evil ２, he’s clearly been through a lot, and it shows in his harsher expression.

But am I the only one who thinks he actually looks younger than the original version？

あと、頭身も変わったよね…。

Also, his proportions feel dofferent too…

オリジナルより、頭が大きくなったせいか、身長が低く見える💧

Maybe because his head looks bigger than in the original, he somehow seems shorter💧

そして、ここから恐怖の村に突入です。

And now, it’s time to enter the village of terror.

「警官を探す」って、オリジナルのように…立ちションしてるんじゃないの？

’Search for the police officer’…Wait, isn’t he supposed to be taking a leak like in the original？

今回はそんなおちゃらけ要素がない?…シリアスなお話みたいです💧

Looks like this version doesn’t have that kind of goofy humor.

…Seems they’re going for a much more serious tone this time💧

ここら辺もオリジナルとは違うみたいね。

This part seems different from the original too.

パトカーにあの２人のスチャラカ警官がいないもの。

Those two goofy cops aren’t in the police car this time.

森の奥に進むと、不気味な門の前に来ました。

As he heads deeper into the woods, he arrives at a creepy looking gate.

ぎゃ～！ホラーゲームでは恒例のグチャグチャな動物の捧げもの～💦

Gyaaah～！ The classic horror game offering of some grotesque, squishy mystery meat～💦

勘弁してくださーい！

Please spare me～！

また道を進むと、大きな家が見えてきました。

As he continues down the path, a large house comes into view.

バイオ７っぽい建物ですね💧 マーガレットあたりが飛び出してきそう…。

It kind of looks like something out of Resident Evil ７ feels like Marguerite Baker might suddenly jump out at any moment…

今回はカメラを回すとレオンの表情が拝めるので良いですね💕

This time, when you rotate the camera, you can actually get a good look at Leon’s face, which is nice💕

不気味な家に入りたくないけど、こっちしか進めないので仕方なく侵入。

I already don’t want to go into this creepy house, but since it’s the only way forward, I reluctantly head inside.

「お邪魔しま～す💦」

“Excuse me while I intrude～💦”

１つ目の部屋にそーっと入ってみる。

I quietly peek into the first room…

…誰もいない💧

…Nobody’s here💧

部屋の片隅にあるベットにあった不気味なチャーム。

There’s a creepy charm siting on the bed in the corner of the room.

「裁きは来たれり」

“Judgment Cometh”

いちいち赤字で書くなよ～💦 怖いから！

Why does it have to be written in red letters every single time～💧

That just makes it even scarier！

これ以上、何もないので廊下を出て次の部屋へ。

There’s nothing else here, so I leave the hallway and head into the next room.

手前の部屋は施錠されていて、奥の部屋に進むと…、

The room up front is locked, so I continue into the room farther inside, and then…

ムービーが！ちょっとドキッとする…。

A cutscene starts playing, and it catches me off guard for a second…

あ…、もしかして…オリジナルの頑固親父⁉

Ah…wait, is that the stubborn old man from the original?!

途中、レオンがスペイン語を話すシーンが貴重で思わず笑ってしまいました！

The part where Leon Suddenly speak s Spanish was surprisingly rare, and it honestly made me laugh！

オリジナルだと、全く喋れなかったみたいだし…。

In the original, it seemed like he couldn’t speak it at all…

確かに、各国に派遣されるエージェントなら、少しは喋れなきゃいけませんよね。

But yeah, if You’re an agent being sent need to know a little of the language, right？

多分、探している警官のもの。床に落ちていた。…この血の跡がその後の悲劇を物語っている…。

It’s probably the missing police officer’s.

It was lying on the floor…These bloodstains tell the story of the tragedy that followed.

この体験版の中で、ベスト of イケメンシーン💕(私個人の感想)

The most handsome Leon moment in this entire demo💕 (Purely my personal opinion.)

レオン！後ろ～、後ろ～💦‼

Leon, behind you～！ Behind you～💦!!

さっきのおじさんがナタで切りかかってきました…。

That old guy from earlier suddenly came at Leon with a hatchet.

レオンの強力な蹴りで、おじさんは壁まで吹っ飛び、首が変な方向に…💧

One powerful kick from Leon sent the guy flying straight into the wall, with his neck bent at a really disturbing angle💧

そのおじさんが持っていた鍵を入手。これでさっきの部屋に入れます。 (行きたくないけど…😅)

I obtained the key the old man was carrying.

Now I can finally get into that room from earlier. (…Even though I really don’t want to💧)

鍵を使い、部屋の中へ…。

Using the key, I step into the room…

途中、アイテムを拾ったりしたので、アイテム欄を開くと、クラフトの素材が表示されます。

Along the way, I picked up a few items, and when I opened the inventory, it showed crafting materials.

今回も「イエローハーブ」の存在が確認されました。

Looks like Yellow herbs are comfirmed to be back this time too.

でも、クラフトするのに、ボタン長押ししなきゃいけないのは…いる～？

But do we really need to hold the button down just to craft…？

レオン自ら、葉っぱを千切ってコネコネして作っている時間なのかな💦？

Maybe that’s the time Leon needs to personally tear up the herbs and mash them together by hand💦？

これはその「ハーブ」じゃないのかい？

Isn’t that supposed to be the herb？

近付いても取れないね💧

but even when I get close to it, I can’t pick it up💧

初期装備のナイフの説明。

The description for the starting knife says it was passed down from a senior officer…

先輩から譲り受けたって…マービン・ブラナーのことだよね…泣ける😢

That means Marvin Branagh, right？…Man, that hits hard😢

その頃から愛用していても、耐久性がある…謎仕様💧

And somehow, even after Leon’s been using it since then, it still has durability left.

What kind of miracle knife is this💧

そして、ハンドガン。

And here’s the handgun.

オリジナルでは他に３種類出てきたけど、果たして今回は？

In the original, there were three other handguns you could get too, so I wander what they’ll do this time？

私は「レッド９」より、「青コイン」で貰える「パニッシャー」が好きでした。

Personally, I liked the Punisher you got from the Blue Medallions more than the Red９.

この部屋はグロの巣窟…💧

This room is basically a nest of pure gore…💧

サクッと次に行きましょう💦！

Let’s move on quickly before things get even worse💦！

バイオ７でもそうだったけど…ぶら下げるよね～💧なんだか不気味なものをいっぱい…ぶら下げるよね～💧。

Just like in Resident Evil７…they really love hanging stuff up, don’t they～💧

All kinds of creepy things…just hanging everywhere～💧

うわ～💦 こういうのって大体嫌なことしか起こんないよね…。

Uwaaah～💦

Nothing good ever comes from stuff like this…

開けたくな～い！

I really don’t want to open it～！

誰かいる！

Who’s there?!

あぁ…、やっぱり😢 警官の変わり果てた姿が…。

Ahh…I knew it😢 The police officer was found in a horrifying state…

もう１人の警官も犠牲に⁉ トランシーバーから悲鳴が！

Did the other officer become a victim too?!

A scream suddenly erupts from the radio！

この部屋で行き止まりなので、さっきの部屋に戻ると、死んだはずの首の曲がったおじさんが襲ってきました💦

This room’s a dead end, so when I head back to the previous room, the old guy with the twisted neckー who was supposed to be dead－ suddenly attacks me💦

おじさんを倒しつつ、家の中を移動すると、違うおじさんたちが敵意むき出しで近づいてくるじゃあありませんか！

As I fight him off and move through the house, another old man starts approaching with obvious murderous intent！

全て相手にしていたら弾がなくなるので、他のおじさんが飛び出してきた新しい通路に逃げ込み、階段を昇った先の部屋に入って、そこを施錠し…ちょっと一安心💦

If I fought every single one of them, I’d run out of ammo fast, so I escaped down the new passageway another old man burst out from, then ran upstairs into a room and locked the door behind me…finally, a brief moment to breathe.

部屋の中には(多分)アシュリーの写真と、スペイン語の書かれた紙が壁に貼ってありました。

Inside the room were what looked like photos of Ashley Graham, along with papers covered in Spanish pinned to the wall.

ここでハニガンに連絡。

Leon contacts Hunnigan here.

…！ハニガンの髪…ウェーブがかかってる～!!

…！ Hunnigan’s hair has waves in it now～!!

ちょっと、このハニガン、冷静過ぎやしないか💧？

Also…isn’t Hunnigan being a little too calm about all this💧？

そんな中、施錠したドアが壊されそうになり、

Meanwhile, the locked door starts sounding like it’s about to be smashed down, and…

窓から飛び出て脱出。

Leon dives out the window to escape.

道なりに吊り橋まで来ました。

Following the path, I finally reach the suspension bridge.

オリジナルだったら、向こうの崖の上に空耳３人おじさんズがいたのですが、今回は姿が見えません。

In the original, those three “misheard quotes” villagers would be standing on the cliff over there, but this time they’re nowhere to be seen.

途中、何人かに襲われて、ナイフで追い打ちが出来ることを知りました。

Along the way, after getting attacked by a few villagers, I discovered you can follow up with the knife to finish enemies off.

タイプライター発見！あくまで体験版なのでセーブはできないみたい💧

Found a typewriter！

But since this is only a demo, it looks like you can’t actually save your game💧

ナイフではなくキックで破壊。絶対、足痛めるって～💧

Instead of using the knife, Leon just kicks it apart.

That’s gotta wreck your foot～💧

多分、今回はナイフに耐久性があるから、こうなったんでしょうね。

I’m guessing they changed it because knives have durability this time around.

ガンパウダーの存在も確認。

Gunpowder has been confirmed to be in the game as well.

お金は大事！でもペセタじゃないの～？

Money is important！ But wait…shouldn’t it be pesetas～？

今回も閃光手榴弾はあるんだね♪

Looks like flash grenades are back this time too♪

他にハンドガンの弾やレッドハーブなどのアイテムを拾いました。

I also picked up some handgun ammo, a Red Herb, and a few other items along the way.

道の途中にシレっと罠が！ …気付いて良かった～💦

There was a trap casually sitting right in the middle of the path！…Good thing I noticed it～💦

ナイフで罠解除。

Disarmed the trap with the knife.

やっと村の中心部までやってきました。

I finally made it to the center of the village.

うぅ、グロいって…。

Ugh…that’s seriously gruesome…

オリジナルでもあった、双眼鏡を覗くシーン。オリジナルよりグロいかも…💦

This is the binocular scene from the original.

It might actually be even more gruesome than before…💦

なんと、村の中心近くでコッコ(鶏)が卵を産みました✨(光のすじが立っているところ)

And unbelievably, a chicken laid an egg right near the center of the village✨

(where the beam of light is shining)

これはどうしても欲しい！

I absolutely had to get it ！

村人に見つからないように、しゃがんで取りに行く「コッコ卵ゲットチャレンジ」を試みました！

So, I attempted the “Egg Retrieval Challenge”ー sneaking over in a crouch without the villagers noticing me！

あ、見つからずになんとかゲットできました✨

Ah, I somehow managed to grab it without getting spotted✨

意外としゃがみはステルス性能高いかも？

Crouching might actually be pretty effective for stealth this time.

そのまま真っすぐ、村の中心に行くと、すぐに村人に見つかるので、オリジナルと同じく左の細道から侵入。

If you head straight into the center of the village, the villagers notice you almost immediately, so just like in the original, I snuck in through the narrow path on the left instead.

グリーンハーブを拾いました。

I picked up a Green Herb.

この村の中心部のマップはオリジナルと同じみたいなんで、途中の家に飛び込んでも村人に気づかれないかと思ったけど、見事に気付かれて四方八方囲まれちゃいました💦

The layout of the village center seems to be the same as in the original, so I thought maybe I could dive into one of the houses along the way without the villagers noticing me…but nope, they spotted me instantly and surrounded me from every direction💦

今回はおばさんの素手パンチが痛い！プロボクサー並みのパンチをレオンに浴びせてきます💧

And wow, the old ladies hit hard this time！

They’re throwing punches at Leon like professional boxers💧

それをなんとか振り切って、オリジナルと同じ、大きな家に逃げ込みました。

Somehow, I managed to break away from them and escaped into the same large house from the original.

チェーンソーさん登場💦！こっわっ‼

Mr. Chainsaw has arrived💦！ So scary!!

２階に上がり、ショットガンを入手。

I ran upstairs and grabbed the shotgun.

それでも尋常じゃない数の村人たちが襲ってきます💦

Even then, an insane number of villagers kept pouring in after me💦

オリジナルのいつもの場所で村人たちを迎い撃ち、チェーンソーさんをなんとか倒しました💦

I held my ground against the villagers in the same familiar spot from the original, and somehow managed to take down Mr. Chainsaw💦

…！通貨3000‼

…！ 3000 currencies!!

オリジナルでは10000ペセタだったのに…チェンソーさん、安くなってる～？…通貨単位が違うからか？

In the original, he dropped 10,000 pesetas…so did Mr. Chainsaw get cheaper this time～？

…Or is it just because the currency system is different now？

その後、すぐに屋根から飛び降りて、向かいの家へ！

Right after that, I jumped down from the roof and dashed into the house across the way！

…って、家の中に村人が待機してた～💦

…Except there were already villagers waiting inside the house～💦

もう、パニックになって、攻撃しないで村中逃げ回ってばかり💧

At that point, I completely panicked and just kept running all over the village without even fighting back💧

あ、そうだ！塔の上なら安全♪？

Ah, that’s right！ Maybe the top of the tower is safe♪

…と梯子を昇って迎え撃とうと思ったら、床が崩れて下へ落下💦

…So, I climbed the ladder, planning to fight them off from above, but then the floor suddenly collapsed and I fell straight down💦

今回はうまい逃げ場がないみたい💧

Looks like there aren’t any easy safe spots this time💧

あちこち逃げ回っているうちに何処かから鐘の音が…！

While I was running around all over the place trying to escape, the sound of a bell suddenly rang out from somewhere…！

今回はこのおばさんが「中野バーガー」。

This time, this old lady is the one saying “Nakano Burger” (misheard line).

レオンの存在を無視するように、村人たちがある建物に吸い込まれていきます。

As if Leon no longer even exists, the villagers begin filing into a certain building.

呆然とするレオン。

Len stans there in stunned disbelief.

最後の１人がこちらを睨みながらドアを閉めていきます。(ちょっと顔がツボる😅)

The last villager glares over at Leon as he slowly closes the door.

(There’s just something about his face that cracks me up😅)

体験版………終。

Demo Complete…The End.

体験版なのに、隠し要素もあるんです！

Even though it’s just a demo, it actually has a hidden secret too！

ある条件を満たすと、マシンピストルが入手できます‼

If you meet certain conditions, you can unlock a machine pistol!!

それと、ランダムで村人が強くなり、赤いチェーンソーさんが登場する…マッドチェーンソーMODE(HARD MODE)が遊べます♪

Also, there’s a “Mad Chainsaw Mode” where the villagers become stronger at random, and a red version of Mr. Chainsaw appears…♪

とっても盛りだくさんですね🌟

This demo is seriously packed with contant🌟

今回はバイオハザードRE４の体験日記をお送りしました。

This time, I brought you my Resident Evil ４ demo diary.

操作性はまだちょっと慣れないけど、オリジナルとは違ったアクションもあって楽しいですね♪

I’m still getting used to the controls a little, but it’s been really fun seeing all the new actions and gameplay difference compared to the original♪

なんと、パリィも出来るそうです！(タイミングはシビア？)

And apparently, you can even parry attacks now！

(Though the timing might be pretty strict？)

あと、ガンパウダーがあることと、武器商人の存在、エイダやアシュリーは？…など、ワクワクポイントが盛りだくさん♬

There’s also gunpowder, the return of the Merchant, and questions like “What about Ada and Ashley？”

…so many exciting things to look forward to♬

発売が待ち遠しいですね！

I seriously can’t wait for the full release！

…でも、私は、やっぱりオリジナルのバイオ４レオンが好き💕

…But honestly, I still love the original Resident Evil ４ version of Leon S. Kennedy the most💕
