今回は、2024年末に行った温泉旅行のお話です♪
This time, it’s the story of a hot spring trip I took at the end of 2024.
レオンの気ままな一人旅なので、とってもゆる～い企画です。
Since it’s Leon’s carefree solo journey, it’s a very laid-back little adventure.
ですから、皆様もゆる～い気持ちで楽しんでいってくださいね

2024年は(ブログ主の体調不良のせいで)、遠出の旅行が出来なかった分、温泉で英気を養おうと決めたレオン💧
Since he couldn’t take any long trips in 2024 (because of the blogger’s poor health), Leon decided to recharge his energy at a hot spring💧
「今回は都心から近い温泉にでも行ってみるか♪」
“This time, maybe I’ll head to a hot spring close to the city♪”
そこで訪れたのは…年末の熱海♪
And so, the place he chose to visit was…Atami at the end of the year♪
「…ということで、熱海にやってきました～♪
ナビゲーターのレオンです！
今回の小旅行は、2024年の疲れを癒すため、温泉三昧♪に決定‼
美味しい物もい～っぱい堪能しちゃいます

早速、熱海駅からすぐの「平和通り名店街」、
First stop: the Heiwa-dori Shopping Street, just steps away from Atami Station,
または「仲見世通り」…どちらから行くか迷うレオン💧
Or perhaps Nakamise Street…Leon struggles to decide which way to go first💧
「まずは観光客がごった返している〈平和通り名店街〉から行ってみよう♪」
“First, let’s check out Heiwa-dori Shopping Street, where the tourists are packed in♪”
その名の通り、お土産や熱海の名物がズラリと並んでいる商店街。
As the name suggests, it’s a shopping street lined with souvenirs and Atami’s famous local specialties.
すると、通りに入ってからすぐに大行列が出来ているお店がありました！
Then, right after entering the street, he spotted a shop with a huge line stretching outside！

きちんと列に並び、一番人気の「たこ棒」を購入。
After properly lining up, he bought their most popular item, the Octopus Stick.
歩きながらでも、食べやすいスティックタイプ！
It’s a stick-style snack that’s easy to eat while walking around！
美味しさはもちろん、この手軽さが人気な理由♪
Of course it’s delicious, but this convenience is also a big reason for its popularity♪

コレ、前から食べたかったんだ～♪
中には、大きなタコがゴロッゴロ～！
…結構、大きなサイズだけど、美味しくてペロッと食べちゃった～
」
“Delicious～
I’ve wanted to try this for so long～♪
There are big chunks of octopus packed inside！
…It’s actually pretty large, but it was so tasty I finished it in no time～”
そのまま、「平和通り名店街」の坂を下って行くと…、
Then, as he continued down the slope of Heiwa-dori Shopping Street…
熱海シュークリームを発見！
He discovered Atami cream puffs！

「四角いシュークリーム！ 珍しい‼」
” A square cream puff！ How unusual!!”
なんと、シュークリームのカワが四角くなっていて、見た目がケーキみたい！
Believe it or not, the pastry shell is square-shaped, making it look almost like a cake！
中身のクリームは全部で６種類。
There are six different cream fillings in total.
お土産にオーソドックスな「カスタード」と、「塩キャラメル」、「ブリュレシュー」の３種類を購入しました♪
As souvenirs, he bought three classic choices: Custard, Salted Caramel, and Brulé Cream Puff♪
そして、その隣にあるお店。
And then, the shop right next door…
「フルーツキング」♪
Fruit King♪
モリモリのフルーツ＆生クリームが挟まったフルーツサンドのお店です！
A shop famous for fruit sandwiches packed with heaps of fresh fruit and whipped cream！

” Today is going to be a sweets-filled feast～”
イチゴ・キウイ・バナナが入った「ミックス」を購入♪
He bought a mixed one filled with strawberries, kiwi, and banana♪
小腹が空いたら、ホテルで食べる予定です💧
He plans to eat it at the hotel later when he gets a little hungry💧
続いてのレオンの標的💧は、「仲見世通り」にある…
Next on Leon’s target list, located on Nakamise Street, is…

ふっくらなパンの中に、アンコとバター
Inside the soft, fluffy bread is sweet red bean paste and butter
とっても罪な組み合わせですね💦
What a dangerously tempting combination💦
レンジで少し温めた後に食べると、溶けたバターがパンにシミシミで…それがまたアンコと合わさって、美味しさ爆発
If you warm it slightly in the microwave before eating, the melted butter soaks into the bread…then blends with the red bean paste for an explosion of deliciousness
「これもテレビで見て、前から気になっていたんだ～
１つが結構大きなサイズなんで、ここでは食べず、お土産にしようっと♪」
“I saw this on TV too, and I’ve been curious about it for so long～
One of these is pretty big, so I’ll skip eating here and take it home as a souvenir～♪”
もう、甘いものは十分だろ
！
Alright, that should be more than enough sweets already！
…と思っていたのですが、とても気になるものが目に入ってしまったレオン💧
…Or so he thought, but then something incredibly tempting caught Leon’s eye💧
熱海プリン♪
Atami Pudding♪
このお店にも、すごい行列が💦
This shop also had an enormous line💦
多くの種類の中から、レオンが選んだのは、「熱海プリン 特製カラメルソース付」と「風呂(ふろ)まーじゅプリン エスプレッソ」。
Out of the many varieties available, Leon chose the Atami Pudding with Special Caramel Sauce and the Fromage Pudding Espresso.
「同時に２つ食べましたが、何か？」
“Yes, I ate two of themー problem with that？”
右→オーソドックスなプリン…だけど、カラメルソースとカスタードが濃厚で美味
Right → A classic pudding…but with rich custard and a deeply flavorful caramel sauce. Delicious
左→牛乳プリンに＋エスプレッソ‼ 合わないワケないじゃ～ん♪
Left → Milk puffing ＋ Espresso！
No way that combo could be bad～♪
そして最後に…、レオンがいた日がプレオープンで次の日が新装開店だったお店…
And finally…a shop that was in pre-opening on the day Leon visited, with its grand reopening set for the very next day…
あたみヨーグルト♪

プレオープンだったため、午後２時閉店💧
Since it was only in pre-opening, the shop closed at 2 PM💧
レオンがこの店に気付いた時には、ほとんどの商品は売り切れでした💧
By the time, Leon noticed the place, most of the products were already sold out💧
…で、買えたのが↑コレ。
…And so, this was the one he managed to buy.
「…本当は、静岡県にいるんだし…
みかん入りの飲むヨーグルトが欲しかったんだけどな～💧 売り切れてた
」
“…What I really wanted was the drinkable yogurt with mandarin oranges in it, since I’m in Shizuoka and all～💧 But it was sold out”
それでも、１口飲んでみると…、
Even so, after taking one sip…
「うっま～
しかも、ヨーグルトが濃厚過ぎて、なかなか最後の１滴が落ちてこない💦‼
みかん入り…のために、明日も熱海に来ようかな～？」
“Delicious～
And wow, it’s so rich and thick that the very last drop takes forever to come down!!💦
Maybe I should come back to Atami tomorrow…just for the mandarin orange one～？”
こうして、熱海のスイーツを満喫したレオン♪
And so, Leon fully enjoyed Atami’s sweets♪
本来の目的は温泉なので、少し早い時間ですが、本日泊まるペンションに向かいます！
But since the real purpose of the trip was the hot springs, he headed to the pension where he’d be staying, even though it was still a bit early！
熱海駅から伊東線に乗り、川奈駅へ♪
From Atami Station, he boarded the Ito Line and set off for Kawana Station♪
そこから、タクシーで約10分弱。
From there, it was just under a 10-minute taxi ride.
途中の急な坂を昇ると…、見えてきました！
After climbing the steep hills along the way…it finally came into view！
丘の頂上にある、
Perched at the top of the hill was…
ビューリゾート マリンヒルズ♪

ペンション越しの半月を一緒に撮ろうと思ったら、偶然、カラッス～先輩が飛来
He tried to take a photo of the half-moon with the pension in the background, but a crow happened to fly by
月とカブってしまいました💦
It ended up overlapping with the moon💦

丘の上にあるので、こんな素敵なオーシャンビューが望めます
Since it sits atop a hill, you get this gorgeous ocean view
ここ川奈は、ゴルフ場が有名。
Kawana is famous for its golf courses.
ペンションから、コースも見えます⛳
You can even see one of the courses from the pension⛳

午後４時前なのに、キレイなサンセット
Even though it was just before ４ PM, the sunset was already beautiful
そして、本日泊まるお部屋♪
And here is the room he’ll be staying in tonight♪
ここからも、海が一望できます
You can enjoy a sweeping ocean view from here as well
そして、各部屋には24時間いつでも入れる天然温泉のお風呂♨
And each room comes with its own natural hot spring bath, available 24 hours a day♨
これがあるから、ホテルよりペンションが手軽で良いんですよね
That’s one of the reasons pensions can feel more convenient and relaxing than hotels
その他に大浴場が３つもあるんです！ (全て露天風呂)
On top of that, there are also three large communal baths！ (All of them are open-air baths)
事前に予約すれば、貸し切りに出来ます♪
If you reserve in advance, you can even have them all to yourself♪
「早速、１つ目の大浴場に入ったけど、入浴目的だから、部屋にiPhoneを置いてきちゃって、写真を撮るのを忘れちゃった～💦」
“I already tried the first communal bath right away, but since I was focused on soaking, I left my iPhone in the room and forgot to take any pictures～💦”
入浴後、夕食までのひと時を部屋で夕日を眺めながら、まったりと過ごすレオン
After his bath, Leon spent the time before dinner relaxing in his room, gazing at the sunset
「この時間が最高だ～」
“This is the best time of day～”
温泉で温まった身体をベッドに横たえると、心地良い睡魔が襲ってきました…
As he lay down on the bed with his body warmed by the hot spring, a pleasant wave of drowsiness came over him…
少し、うつらうつらすると…あっという間に、午後６時５分前！
After drifting in and out for a little while…it was suddenly five minutes to 6 PM！
「待ってました！ 夕食だ～ １番の楽しみ♪ 食堂へGO‼」
“I’ve been waiting for this！ Dinner time～
What I’ve been looking forward to the most♪ Off to the dining hall!!”
ワクワクしながら、席に着くレオン
Filled with excitement, Leon took his seat
すると！
And then！
ドーン！ 船盛り～
Boom！
A boat-shaped sashimi platter～
「生魚～」
“Raw fish～♪”
レオン、相変わらず生魚が好きですね…💧
Leon still lovers’ raw fish as much as ever…💧
自分で擦る本わさびが、新鮮な生魚💧を引き立てて、また絶品♪
Freshly grating the wasabi himself brought out the flavor of the fresh sashimi even more－ it was exquisite♪
スープやサラダなどの前菜も美味♪
The appetizers, including the soup and salad, were delicious as well♪
そして、↑こちらが「ビューリゾート マリンヒルズ」の名物
And this is the signature specialty of View Resort Marine Hills
魚介類モリモリのブイヤベース♪
A bouillabaisse loaded with seafood♪
いろんな魚介類の出汁が利いていて、激うま
The broth was packed with the rich flavors of all kinds of seafood－ absolutely incredible
またその出汁を吸ったパスタが美味しくて、美味しくて…
And the pasta that had soaked up all that broth was so delicious, so delicious…
「おかわりないの!?」
“No seconds?!”
…と思っちゃったくらいです♪
…That’s honestly how he felt♪
メインはステーキ
The main course was steak
「口の中で、お肉溶けちゃいました～♪」
” The meat practically melted in my mouth～♪”
地ビールをたしなみながら、全ての料理をたいらげるレオン。
Savoring a local craft beer, Leon polished off every dish.
食後のデザートは、ケーキ
…これは、もちろん料金には含まれていない特別なものです💧
The after-dinner dessert was cake…and of course, this was a special extra that wasn’t included in the standard meal💧
「ちゃんとしたデザートもあったのに、ケーキも頼んじゃった～♪
…それは、なぜかというと…」
“There was already a proper dessert included, but I ordered cake too～♪
…And the reason why was…”
この日は、もうすぐクリスマスだったからですね～
It was because Christmas was just around the corner that day～

「余は満足じゃ～」
“I am well satisfied～”
１国の王様って、毎日こんな感じの生活をしてたのでしょうか💦？
Did kings of old live like this every single day💦？
…というくらい、美味しくて豪華な夕食に大満足のレオン。
That’s how delighted Leon was with the delicious and luxurious dinner.
「少しゆっくりしたら、部屋の風呂にも入るぞ～♪」
“After I relax a bit, I’m going to enjoy the bath in my room too～♪”
今夜は、温泉↔ビールで、休日を満喫するのでした…
And so, he fully enjoyed his holiday that night with an endless cycle of hot spring ↔ beer
もちろん、この日は身体もポカポカ 心もゆったり ちょ～熟睡
Of course, his body stayed nice and warm
His mind was completely at ease, and he slept so soundly
翌朝
The next morning
朝７時に予約した大浴場…陽光の湯へ♪
He headed to the communal bath he had reserved for ７ AM…the Sunlight Bath♪
「天然温泉の内風呂サイコー」
“The indoor natural hot spring bath the best～♪”
そして、冬至だったこの日。
And on this day, the winter solstice.
朝日がやっと昇ってきました
The morning sun had finally begun to rise
外には露天風呂♪
Outside was an open-air bath♪
相模湾を一望しながら、朝日を拝めます
From there, you can gaze out over Sagami Bay while watching the sunrise
「ありがたや～、ありがたや～
」
“How blessed I am～, how blessed I am～”
こんな素晴らしい景色で、温泉に入れるなんて…まさに天国！
To soak in a hot spring with scenery this magnificent…it truly felt like heaven！
「あ～、本当に来て良かった～ ここのペンションを選んで良かった～」
“Ahh, I’m so glad I came here～
I’m so glad I chose this pension～”
そして、午前８時…。
And then, ８ AM…
「朝食、朝食～♪」
“Breakfast, breakfast～♪”
ワンプレートの中に、美味しいものがいっぱい♪
One plate filled with all kinds of delicious things♪
キッシュ、ハム、２種のウィンナー、サラダ、目玉焼き…
Quiche, ham, two kinds of sausages, salad, and a fried egg…
ガーリックトースト、ラスク、ミルクパンもとても美味しくて、おかわりしちゃいました♪
The garlic toast, rusks, and milk brad were so tasty that he even asked for seconds♪
スープは、朝にピッタリの胃に優しいコンソメスープ！
The soup was a gentle consommé, perfect for the morning stomach！
ヨーグルト、ジュース、コーヒーまでついて、完璧すぎる朝食でした
With yogurt, juice, and coffee included as well, it was an absolutely perfect breakfast
「おいしゅうございました」
“That was truly delicious”
朝食が終わると、チェックアウト(午前10時)まではまだ時間がありますが…後は帰る準備のみ💦
After breakfast, there was still some time left until checkout (10 a.m.) …but all that remained now was getting ready to leave💦
「あ～ぁ、帰りたくないな～
ず～っと、ここで温泉に入ってたいなぁ～
！」
“Aww…I don’t want to go home
I want to stay here forever and keep soaking in the hot springs～”
こういう時の時間は早く過ぎるもの…。
Time always seems to pass too quickly in moments like these…
お世話になったオーナーと別れの挨拶を交わし、呼んでもらったタクシーで川奈駅へ向かいます。
After exchanging farewell greetings with the owner who had taken such good care of him, Leon headed for Kawana Station in the taxi they kindly called for him.
「さらば、川奈！ また会う日まで、ごきげんよう
」
“Farewell, Kawana！
Until the day we meet again, goodbye”
↑川奈駅のホーム。
↑Kawana Station platform.
一路、小田原へ向かいます！
He set off straight for Odawara.
そこから、約１時間。小田原駅に到着♪
About an hour later, he arrived at Odawara Station♪
小田原駅から歩いて、約10分。
From Odawara Station, it was about a 10-minute walk.
小田原城に到着♪
He arrived at Odawara Castle♪
「お城がやっぱり見たかったんだ～」
“I just had to see a castle after all～”
「この門は、京都の二条城に通ずるものがあるな♪」
“This gate has something in common with Kyoto’s Nijo Castle♪”
↑天守閣にご注目！ 年末でも観光客がいっぱい💦
↑Take a look at the main keep！
Even at the end of the year, it was packed with tourists💦

The museum inside the castle keeps (photography prohibited).
とても楽しんだレオン♪
Leon really enjoyed it♪
お堀にはカモむ～の群れ💦 うっすらコイキング💧の影も！
The moat was filled with a flock of ducks💦
And you could faintly see the shadows of carp swimming below！
オオバン「あら？ あなた、レオン・S・ケネディさんじゃあない!?」
Eurasian Coot: “Oh？ Aren’t you Leon S. Kennedy?!”
１羽のオオバンが寄ってきました♪ とっても可愛い～
A Eurasian coot came right up to him♪ So cute～
「…そ、そうだけど💦？」(随分、人慣れしてんな～💧)
“Y-yeah…I guess so💦？”
(They’re awfully used to people here…💧)
↑よく見ると、なぜかポヨンと浮かぶゆりかもめの姿も！
↑If you look closely, you can also spot black-headed gulls！
小田原城から海が近いからなんですよね♪
That’s because the sea is quite close to Odawara Castle♪
そして、最後に小田原駅ビルに戻り…、昼食♪
And finally, he returned to the Odawara Station building…for lunch♪
小田原ちゃんぽんと
Odawara champon and…
桜エビ味噌ちゃんぽんを堪能♪
sakura shrimp miso champon, enjoyed to the fullest♪
「これも同時に食べましたが、何か？」
“Yeah, I ate both at the same timeー got a problem with that？”
魚介類の出汁が絶妙で、両方ともスープまで飲み干しちゃいました♪
The seafood broth was absolutely exquisite, and he ended op drinking every last drop of both soups♪
味噌味のちゃんぽんは初めてだったけど、こんなに美味しいとは思いませんでした
It was his first time trying miso-style champon, but he never expected it to be this delicious
「絶対また食べに来よう♪」
“I’m definitely coming back to eat this again♪”
満腹＆満足を味わったレオン。これで小田原ともお別れです…。
Completely full and satisfied, Leon bids farewell to Odawara…
すると、幸運にも小田原の空に虹が
Then, as if by luck, a rainbow appeared in the sky over Odawara
「こんなくっきりした虹を見るの…久しぶりかも？ なんだか良いことが起こりそうだな～」
“It’s been a while since I’ve seen a rainbow this clear.
Feels like something good is about to happen～”
これは今年も縁起が良さそうですね～
This looks like a very auspicious sign for the year ahead～
今回の湯治ツアー…2024年の厄落としのはずが、2025年の幸運も運んで来てくれたようです
The hot spring healing trip…originally meant to wash away the bad luck of 2024, seems to have also brought along good fortune for 2025
そして、最後に…皆様にも幸運をお裾分け♪
And finally…a little share of that good luck for everyone♪
年末に、お台場の海上で見た花火です
This is fireworks over the sea at Odaiba, seen at the end of the year
さっきの虹繋がりで、レインボーブリッジも良く見えます
And in connection with the rainbow from earlier, you can also see the Rainbow Bridge clearly
