【W.H.(ホワイトハウス)・シャンディ・ランデヴ】
(バイオ４＆RE:４編)
2024年８月…令和版アニメ「うる星やつら」のOP＆ED曲にハマってました♪
特に好きなのは、MAISONdesの「トウキョウ・シャンディ・ランデヴ」です。
諸星あたるに対するラムちゃんのもどかしい気持ちを歌った曲ですよね。
なんだか、バイオ４＆RE:４後のアシュリーの心情に似てる気がして、この１ページ漫画が出来ました。
アシュリーが主人公なので、タイトルの「トウキョウ」部分を「ホワイトハウス」に変えてみました💧
それ以外は、１番だけですが…歌詞はそのまま！
あんな怖い教団に誘拐されて、スペインの辺鄙(へんぴ)な村に連れていかれたアシュリー・グラハム。
唯一助けに来てくれたイケメン合衆国エージェント…レオン・S・ケネディ。
アシュリーのために身体を張り、アシュリーのために悪の教団と戦ってくれる…。
そりゃあ、一発でレオンに堕ちてしまうのは仕方がないことですよね💦？
ラスボスを倒して無事に島から脱出した後、アシュリーはレオンに告白じみたことを言いますが、サラリと断られてしまいます。
この任務が終わった後も、お互いホワイトハウスにはいるものの、簡単に会える仲ではなかったと思います。
身分違いの恋…。
あんな体験をしたら、アシュリーはレオンのことを忘れられるはずがない！(フラれたけど…💧)
…むしろ、想いは強くなっていくんじゃあないかなぁ…💦？ と思うのです。
そして、↑６コマ目！「大統領主催のパーティ」で久々の再会！
公の場という名目の着飾ったドレス姿でレオンに話しかけてみるアシュリー。
だけど、レオンの素っ気ない態度にショックを受けてしまいます。
(ドレスアップしていた分、ちょっぴり自信もあったはずなのに…。)
レオンにとっては、あの教団から助け出したとはいえ、相手は大統領の娘。
ただの１エージェントが気軽に話しかけてはいけない立場です。
だから、身分をわきまえた態度を取ったのですが、アシュリーには冷たく見えてしまったのでしょう。
１エージェントとはいえ、いろんな意味で目立つレオン
もちろん、任務中でもパーティー中でも女性が放っておきません💧
それを普段から見ているアシュリーは、その原因はレオンの女癖が悪いからだと思い込んでしまいます。
それが歌詞にあるように…、「不安定なカンテラ」＝「あっちにフラフラ、こっちにフラフラ…浮気している」と喩えられているんですね。
最後には、「そんな態度でいると、今まで知り合った女性全員に見捨てられちゃうわよ
！」という嫉妬心から強がりを言ってしまいます。
それがアシュリーの可愛さであり、最大の魅力ですね♪
…という訳で、好きな曲の歌詞でイメージして作る「１ページ漫画」も楽しいかな～♪？ と、今回は普段とは違った形で頑張って描いてみました💦
「あ～、作っていて楽しかった～♡」と思えたことが、私にとって最高の幸せとなりました
【White House Shandy Rendezvous】
(Resident Evil ４＆RE:４ Edition)

In August 2024, I was totally hooked on the opening and ending themes of the Reiwa-era anime Urusei Yatsura.♪
My personal favorite is Tokyo Shandy Rendezvous by MAISONdes.
It’s a song that captures Lum’s frustrating, bittersweet feelings toward Ataru Moroboshi, isn’t it？
Somehow, it felt similar to Ashley’s state of mind after Resident Evil ４ and RE４, and that’s how this one-page comic came to be.
Since Ashley is the main character, I changed the” Tokyo” part of the title to “White House.”💧
Aside from that, it’s only the first verse…but the lyrics are used exactly as they are！
Ashley Graham was kidnapped by a terrifying cult and taken to a remote village in Spain.
The only one who came to rescue her was a handsome U.S. agent…Leon S. Kennedy.
He risked his life for Ashley, fighting an evil cult for her sake…
I mean, it’s only natural that she’d fall for Leon instantly, right？💦
After defeating the final boss and safely escaping the island,
Ashley says something that’s almost a confession to Leonー only to be gently brushed off.
Even after the mission was over, although they were both still at the White House, I don’t think they were in a position where they could easily see each other.
A love across social boundaries.
After going through something like that, there’s no way Ashley could ever forget Leon！ (Even though she was turned down…💧)
…If anything, I feel like those feelings would only grow stronger…💦
And now, the Sixth panel！
A long -awaited reunion at the President’s party!!
Ashley, dressed up in a formal gown under the pretense of a public event, tries to strike up a conversation with Leon.
But she’s shocker by Leon’s indifferent attitude.
(After all, she’d put on a dress and was probably feeling a bit more confident…)
From Leon’s perspective, even though he rescued her from that cult, she’s the President’s daughter.
As just a single agent, he isn’t in a position to casually strike up a conversation.
So he maintained a respectful, proper attitude, but to Ashley, it probably came across as cold.
Even as just a single agent, Leon stands out in more ways than one.
Of course, whether on a mission or at a party, he never goes unnoticed by women. 💧
Ashley, having seen this all the time, comes to assume that it’s because Leon has a bad habit with women.
As the lyrics say, the” unsteady little lantern” is a metaphor for Leon swaying here and there…being fickle, so to speak.
Finally, in a fit of jealousy, she ends up saying something like, ‘If you keep acting like that, every woman you’ve ever met will abandon you！‘
That’s exactly what makes Ashley so cute－ and her greatest charm. ♪
…So, I thought it might be fun to create a one-page comic inspired by the lyrics of a favorite song♪
This time, I tried my hand at something a little different from usual. 💦
Just being able to think, ’Ah～ this was so much fun to create～💖’ because the greatest happiness for me. ✨
