〈カードの詳細〉 Card details

ペンタクルの10…「10」は、更なるステージアップを目指す数字。

The Ten of Pentacles…The number ten represents striving for an even higher stage.

ペンタクル(金貨)は、お金や物質、現実的な思考や行動を表す「地」のエレメント。

Pentacles belong to the element of Earth, which represents money and practical ways of thinking and acting.

ペンタクルの10は「ペンタクルの９」のカードで得た富が今後更に繫栄して、その経済的安定を親から子へと着実に継承されていく様子が描かれています。

The ten of Pentacles depicts the wealth gained in the Nine of Pentacles continuing to prosper, and that economic stability being steadily passed down from parent to child.

車いすのスペンサー卿…本物のタロットカードでは、豪華な服を身にまとった老人が描かれています。

Lord Spencer in a wheelchair…In the original tarot card, an elderly man dressed in luxurious clothing is depicted.

その老人が自らの力で富を築いてきたようです。

He appears to have built his wealth through his own efforts.

それを製薬会社アンブレラの創始者の１人…オズウェル・E・スペンサーに描き替えてみました。

I reimagined him as one of the founders of the pharmaceutical company Umbrellaー Ozwell E. Spencer.

Ｔ‐ウィルスを持つウェスカーとウィリアム・バーキン親子…カードの右側にいる３人は、本物のタロットカードでは夫婦とその子供が描かれています。

Wesker and William Birkin with the T-Virus, along with Birkin’s child…The three figures on the right side of the card represent a family.

In the original tarot card, they are depicted as a husband, wife, and their child.

中央にいる夫の手にはワンド(こん棒)が握られ、先ほどの裕福な老人から受け継いだ意志を象徴しているようです。

The husband standing in the center holds a wand in his hand, symbolizing the will he has inherited from the wealthy old man mentioned earlier.

そして夫婦でその経済的な安定を継承するための教えや学びを老人から受け継ぎ、やがてそれを自分の子へと受け継がせようとしています。

The couple is learning the teachings needed to preserve that economic stability from the old man, and in time they will pass it on to their own child.

それをそれぞれ左から、ウェスカー・ウィリアム・シェリーに描き替えて、ウェスカーが握っているワンドをＴ‐ウィルスにしてみました。

I reimagined them, from left to right, as Wesker, William, and sherry, and changed the wand Wesker is holding into the T-Virus.

バイオの世界でも、スペンサーの研究を継いだウェスカー＆ウィリアム。

In the world of Resident Evil as well, Wesker and William inherited Spencer’s research.

不本意だけど、父(ウィリアム)の開発したG‐ウィルスを体内に取り込んでしまったシェリーへと研究が継承されている点では、このカードの関係に近いと思いませんか？

And although it was not by her own choice, the research is ultimately passed on to Sherry, who ended up taking William’s G-Virus into her body.

In that sense, doesn’t it resemble the relationship depicted in this card？

…ただ、本物のタロットカードと違って、良くない行いの継承ではありますが…💧

…Of course, unlike the original tarot card, this is the inheritance of something far from good…💧

スペンサーに懐く２匹のケルベロス…本物のタロットカードでは２匹の白い犬が描かれています。

Two Cerberus dogs devoted to Spencer…In the original tarot card, two white dogs are depicted.

立派なお屋敷で飼われている２匹の犬は、豊かさの象徴ですね。

The two dogs kept in such a grand mansion symbolize wealth and prosperity.

そして、この老人(老人の地位や豊かさ)を守っているかのようです。

They also appear to be guarding the old manー and the status and prosperity he represents.

それを、バイオの生物兵器でお馴染みの「ケルベロス」に描き替えてみました。

So, I reimagined them as the Cerberus, the familiar bioweapons from the world of Resident Evil.

巨悪を監視するクリスとレオン…本物のタロットカードでは描かれていない人物。

Chris and Leon watching over a great evil…These are characters who do not appear in the original tarot card.

一応、「レオンのタロットカード」なので、レオンが登場するシチュエーションを考えたら、こうなりました。

Since this is meant to be Leon’s tarot card, I thought about a situation in which Leon could appear, and this is what I came up with.

バイオの世界の諸悪の根源(スペンサー)。

Spencer, the root of all evil in the world of Resident Evil.

バイオ８の世界では、もっと上の悪が居たことになりましたが…💧

Although in the world of Resident Evil ８, it turns out there was sn even greater evil above him…💧

その意志を継ぐウェスカー＆バーキンに抗うクリスとレオンの図…というカタチになりました。

So the scene became one of Chris and Leon standing against Wesker and Birkin, who carry on his will.

大きな門を構えるラクーン警察署…門は安全な聖域を表しています。

The Raccoon Police Department with its large front gate…A gate represents a safe sanctuary.

ある意味、バイオハザードの始まりは、このラクーン警察署が起点となっていますよね。

In a sense, the beginning of Resident Evil can be traced back to the Raccoon Police Department.

S.T.A.R.S.が作られたのも、その周辺で猟奇事件が起きたのも…そして、あの洋館事件＆ラクーン事件が起きたのも、ラクーン警察署管轄で起こったことだからです。

S.T.A.R.S. was created there, the bizarre incidents in the surrounding area occurred under its jurisdiction, and both the Mansion Incident and the Raccoon City incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Raccoon Police Department.
