数字の23…23番、23日、23時などの23の数字に関係するものを意味しています。
The number 23…It refers to things connected to the number 23, such as the 23rd, the 23red day, or 23 o’clock.
二元性、対立、バランスを表す「２」とコミュニケーションや創造を表す「３」を併せ持つ数字でもあります。
It is also a number that combines the qualities of ２ー symbolizing duality, opposition, and balance－ and ３, which represents communication and creativity.
２つを足すと「５」になり、変化と自由という意味もあります。

ネズミ…常にせわしなく動き回り、警戒心が強く…ジメジメとした場所で生息している生き物。

しかし一方では、「働き者」やネズミの多産さから「子孫繫栄」などの良い意味で捉えることもあります。

ネズミといえば…バイオハザードでは、ラクーンシティ中にＧ-ウィルスを媒介した生物で有名ですね。
Speaking of rats…in Resident Evil, they are well known as the creatures that spread the G-Virus throughout Raccoon City.
ハンク率いるアンブレラの部隊が、Ｇ‐ウィルスの発案者…ウィリアム・バーキン(シェリーパパ)からＧ‐ウィルスの研究を奪うため、ラクーンシティの地下深くにある研究所を襲撃。
An Umbrella unit led by HUNK raided the laboratory deep beneath Raccoon City in order to steal the G-Virus research from its creator, William Birkin (Sherry’s father).
その際、ウィリアムは瀕死になり、最終手段として自身にＧ‐ウィルスを打ち、制御不能の化け物に…！
During the attack, William was mortally wounded and, as a last resort, injected himself with the G-Virusー transforming into an uncontrollable monster.
その後、ハンクの部隊を次々と襲い、全滅させたのでした。
After that, he attacked HUNK’s unit one by one and wiped them out.
(ハンクだけは、Ｇ‐ウィルスを回収をして、ちゃっかり💧生き残っています。)
(HUNK alone managed to surviveー while also successfully recovering the G-Virus.)
その時、襲われた隊員が落としたＧ‐ウィルスをウィリアムが、ケースごとムシャムシャ、バリバリ…💧
At that moment, William grabbed the G-Virus that one of the attacked soldiers had dropped and devoured itー case and all…munch, crunch…💧
その残骸をネズミが美味しく戴き、Ｇ‐ウィルスのせいで狂暴化したネズミが人々を噛み…最終的にはあのラクーンシティの惨状になるのでした。
The remnants were then eaten by rats, and because of the G-Virus, the rats became ferocious and leading to the horrific disaster that befell Raccoon City.
今回のカードは、「なぜ、ラクーンシティはあんなことになってしまったのか？」という事実を知るレオンを描いてみました。
For this card, I tried depicting Leon learning the truth behind the question: ‘Why did Raccoon City end up like that？’
ゲーム中でも、ウィリアムの嫁…アネット・バーキン(シェリーママ)から、その事実を伝えられるシーンがありましたね。
There’s also a scene in the game where William’s wife, Annette Birkin (Sherry’s mom), tells Leon the truth.
今回の「ネズミのカード」。
ルノルマンカードとの意味がピッタリ合ったカードとなりました♪
This time, the ’Rat’ card turned out to match the meaning of the Lenormand card perfectly.
…が！
…But！
↑英訳を一応「mouse」にしましたが、本当は、今回描いたようなドブネズミは「brown rat」と表記されます。
I translated it as ‘mouse’ in the English version, but the kind of sewer rat I drew this time would actually be called a ‘brown rat.’
「mouse」はもっと可愛いネズミに使う言葉なのです💧
‘Mouse’ is a word usually used for smaller, cuter mice.
クローバーの７…この「23番・ネズミのカード」は、トランプの「クローバーの７」と共通の意味を持っています。
Seven of Clubs…This ‘No.23ー The Rats’ card shares its meaning with the Seven of Clubs in playing cards.
目標に向かって努力を積み重ねた結果、１つの周期を終えて優位な立場に到達する状態を示しています。
It indicates a state in which, after steadily accumulating efforts toward a goal, one completes a cycle and reaches a position of advantage.
