〈カードの詳細〉 Card details
ペンタクルの８…「８」は「物質世界」と「精神世界」のバランスが取れている状態を表す数字。
The Eight of Pentacles…The number ‘８’ represents a state in which the material world and the spiritual world are in balance.
ペンタクル(金貨)はお金や物質、現実的な思考や行動を表す「地」のエレメント。
Pentacles belong to the element of Earth, symbolizing money, material resources, and practical thought and action.
ペンタクルの８は、職人気質の男性が家に籠って、コツコツと作業をしている様子を表しています。
The Eight of Pentacles depicts a craftsman staying at home, diligently working away at his task.
時間を掛けてでも、地道な努力を積み重ね、自身の技術を向上させる大切さを示しています。
It emphasizes the importance of steadily accumulating effort and improving one’s skills, even if it takes time.
コツコツと作業を続けているレオン…レオンの着ている服装は、タイツと靴が赤でアクティブなエネルギーを、メインの服が青で高い精神性を象徴しています。
Leon diligently continuing his work…The tights and shoes he wears are red, symbolizing active energy, while his main clothing is blue, representing a high level of spirituality.
レオンが情熱と冷静さを併せ持つ存在で、ただひたすらに作業に没頭している姿から、勤勉さ、忍耐強さ、自らを鍛えている…と捉えられます。
Leon embodies both passion and composure, and his work can be interpreted as diligence, perseverance, and self-discipline.
以前、描いた「ペンタクルの３」の見習い職人・レオンが成長した姿だといわれています。
It is said to be the grow-up from of apprentice craftsman Leon from the previously illustrated ‘ Three of Pentacles.’

飾られた８つのペンタクル…今までのレオンの努力の成果です。
The eight pentacles displayed…They are the fruits of Leon’s efforts up to this point.
その努力を重ねてきた結果、職人の域まで技術が向上したことを示しています。
They show that, through the steady accumulation of his hand work, his skills have advanced to the level of a true craftsman.
遠くに見えるラクーン警察署…本物のタロットカードでは、西洋の街並みが描かれています。
The Raccoon Police Department visible in the distance…In authentic tarot cards, a Western townscape is depicted.
レオンが作った作品(ペンタクル)を売りに行くための街。
It represents the town where Leon would go to sell the works he has created－ the pentacle.
その街への道のりはまだ遠く、それを売るためには…レオンはもっと技術の向上が必要だと思っています。
The road to that town is still long, and Leon believes he must further refine his skills before he can bring his work there.
または作業に没頭したいため、敢えて街から距離を取っているとも解釈できます。
Alternatively, it can be interpreted that, because he is so deeply absorbed in his craft, he deliberately keeps his distance from the town,
灰色の空…灰色は物事が白黒はっきりしていない状態を表す色。
The gray sky…Gray is a color that represents a state in which things are not yet clearly defined.
レオンの作業は終わりを迎えておらず、まだ努力をし続けようとしています。
Leon’s work has not reached its conclusion, and he intends to continue striving.
こだわりが強い…職人気質であることを示しています。
It reflects his strong sense of dedication and his craftsman-like nature.
